Elliott and the team are brilliant. I had my eye test at Iris Optical and got new glasses and lenses through them too. The optometrist was lovely in my appointment and the staff on the shop floor have been very helpful. They have a great selection of frames and some of the cheapest I've found in London for designer glasses. They were happy for me to slowly browse, try lots of things on (and be quite indecisive), and gave encouraging advice about what suits my face best. Cheers

I visited Iris optical to get an eye test and order optical glasses. I must say here I had one of the best shopping experiences ever.
Steve was the salesman who helped me with selecting my glasses. They have a big selection of glasses from different brands and they also offer the option to order something which they do not have in stock. I was able to order very interesting optical glasses with sunglasses clip-on. I was able to even order additional clip-on so that I can change them.
I was pleased with how well they treated me and how easy the whole experience was. They offer a low-priced eye test, then you can select the glasses you want and you can even get them delivered straight to your home. I also want to say that the prices they offer are the best I have seen so far. They even go the extra mile and offer free lenses for the glasses you buy.
I was so happy with their services that the week after we went with my girlfriend for an eye test and to buy glasses for her as well. When other friends and family come to visit me, I will also suggest that they go to Iris Optical. I recommend it to people who want to get the best value for their money.

I was recommended to come here and I can see why. Notwithstanding the difficulties created by the pandemic social distancing respected and every effort made to ensure I had the right frames. Creative suggestions were made to ensure I had the frames and lenses I wanted at a reasonable price. As a result I purchased 2 pairs of glasses. The assurance that i could always go back with any issues and they would resolve was re assuring. First class service, reasonable price, and highly recommended.

So at the grand old age of 49, I found myself less than perfect vision. Little things like trying to thread a needle, or reading in the evening were becoming tricky without a lot of squinting. Not many opticians were seeing patients in lockdown, but it was easy for me to book my appointment on-line with Iris.
The team were excellent. As a doctor, I was expecting a good exam, and indeed they were really thorough, particularly since my mother has glaucoma. The specs options were explained to me (I have two very different eyes) and together we made a decision. I had a fabulous range of glasses to choose from, and was given feedback on which styles complemented my face shape.
In just under a week, the new glasses arrived, and not only is my vision now fab, I look pretty good in my new specs too, and have had lots of compliments.
I can thoroughly recommend Iris Optical in Butler's Wharf. They are experts in what they do, and the service felt very one-to-one, and personable. Plus the glasses were excellent value. I am delighted.

I ordered some varifocals. They were put into my frames which I am currently wearing. I could see extremely clearly from the horizon down to my feet, but everything from the horizon upwards was progressively blurry, with the prescription decreasing as I looked through the top part of the frame. There was a clear decrease in prescription strength the further up the lens I looked. In order to walk, I had to point my chin at the world and look through the bottom half of the frame. After an hour of walking, I phoned up and asked if this was normal. They said I hadn't given the new lenses enough time to work, that the lenses were from an amazing manufacturer, that I should have purchased an extra frame, that I should start wearing varifocals in the morning and give it more time. There was no explanation for why I could not see out of the top part of the lens. In the end I walked back, and they put my old lenses in the frame and gave me a full refund. I want to know whether the lenses were inserted correctly, or whether the prescription was incorrect, and I'd like an explanation of what happened. I still need new glasses!
