Nice, no frills & affordable Opticians. Been using these guys every 2 years and so far no complaints. They get my prescription right and they are fast and professional. Didn't complain about me choosing to bring my own frames rather than buy from them either.

Do you know how horrible that a person with poor eyesight live without their glasses? Terrible quality of glasses. Both sides of arms are broken without any crashing. The attachment is done poorly. They were broken inside and I only can use the tape to hold them and the glasses keep slipping. There is a long period of waiting for the appointment to have a new pair of glasses. What can I say?

I've been there for an eye test and i wanted to have contact lenses for the first time! Kate and the girl who did my eye test and fix my eyeglasses was so helpful and so polite! When i went for the training for the contact lenses the boy who was working in this part his name was Markus he wasn't helpful at all.. I think he was so boring to stay there and to teach me how i can use the contact lenses.. Like he show me three times and then he stressed me with his attitude he was boring and i understood he dont like his job, his attitude was like he is working only for money that's all.. and he told me that maybe is better for me to stay with the eyeglasses because contact lenses are not for everyone.. I asked to buy contact lenses and to try when i will be home and he said that they can not sell it to me because if something gonna happend for example eyes infection they will be in trouble.. I said this will be my responsibility and with his boring attitude said no no we can not give it to you.. I also asked him to bring me another person to help me with the contact lenses and he said that he was the only one in this part.. ????‍♀️ This is my experience in this shop..

I'd never had an eye test or had glasses custom made before. The Liverpool Street location impressed me from the start by doing the eye test the same day I called. I thought I needed varifocals, but since my long-range vision is good I was advised to get occupational or enhanced reading glasses. I bought two pairs under the buy-one-get-one-free offer for £148 (£79 lens and £69 frame), excluding the test fee. I phoned later to query a £10 charge on the receipt. In response, the manager gave me a £25 discount! Wow! There's someone who understands the psychology of customer satisfaction, and knows that a well-handled complaint is a perfect opportunity to create lifelong brand loyalty. The following week, I returned a day early, due to work commitments, to pick up my glasses. Not only were they ready for collection, but Khadija - who is charming and professional - made time to serve me attentively, providing much good advice. The glasses are great. I no longer have to switch between different pairs of cheap supermarket glasses while I'm working. They look good too. The exemplary service, good value, and quality product all mean I am a very satisfied customer.

Everyone was very polite and courteous. Explained everything in detail and answered the many questions I had with confidence. Covid 19 measures were in place so 100% safe. I look forward to picking up my new glasses next week. They did also provide the universal credit discount from the nhs didn’t need to bring any evidence i assume it’s just matched with my name and address

I went to Specsavers for the first time a month ago for an eye test. Everyone was extremely professional and able to make me feel comfortable, explaining to me in simple words every single thing. I ordered a pair of glasses and I had difficulties to adapt myself as my glasses had thinner lenses, they understood what the problem was and they changed the lenses a couple of times until I was completely sure that I could see property, they've been so so patient with me. I also did a contact lenses training and since then I've been able to wear contact lenses easily, I remember trying to wear them a few years ago, but who trained me wasn't helpful like the one at Specsavers here. Also, because the current situation, they're extremely clean and careful, so if you're paranoid with covid, I can tell that their shop is absolutely safe. Thank you guys! ????

Very poor service. I came in for an eye test and a contact lenses fitting. I had to wait a long time and missed a follow-up appointment even though I was promised before we would finish in time. They then told me they had ordered test lenses which would arrive in about a week. After ten days, I haven’t heard back and followed-up. Turned out they have not ordered them. So now I have to wait an additional 5 days. Very disappointing. Can definitely not recommend.

The team are very nice and helpful, however while trying to get contacts they were unable to obtain a box of the sample lenses for fitting even after ordering it multiple times... Since this is the entire reason for my (multiple) visits, I would have to give this a 1 star service, as boots down the road was also just as nice and helpful...

Surprised to find out my prescription changed completely in the past year. I chose two frames for one and the lady who assisted me in choosing the right frames was really patient and sweet. She explained the whole process properly and made me feel I was making the decisions for myself instead of her leading the way. It's good when they can also keep their promises and deliver the glasses in the time they initially offered.

Good eye test, but everything else very poor. Limited selection of frames - no ray bans?!? After eye test had to book another appointment a week later to actually order lenses, frames and contacts, person who served me was dreadful at explaining the costs, found it so confusing that I felt like I was being ripped off, I ended up buying no frames or lenses at all. Then had to book yet another appointment another week later to get contacts. So, 2 weeks in total to wait from eye test to getting contacts that they actually had in stock the whole time! Poor. Best to be avoided. Wont be back.

This is by far the best opticians I have been to. I have been going for years and I never have a bad experience. I got new frames just over a year ago and they have unfortunately broken, and although I am outside of the 12 month guarantee - they have ordered me a new pair, and also adjusted my current ones to make them more comfortable. They genuinely seem to care about the service they provide, which is rare these days. Katie who I saw today could not have done enough to help me. Excellent service.

Bait and switch. Free contact lens assessment end up costing £25, the website could have been clearer what is excluded. Only got told this is chargeable when I am on the eye test chair. Having said that, the test itself and fitting is done professionally, all the staffs are helpful Update: used the web form three weeks ago as suggested, there were no follow up what so ever

Really unhelpful staff. I went there for emergency glasses and when finally I decided a pair I wasn't measured as they usually do to ensure they add the lenses according to your eyes and the Assistant clerk was only busy to finish the transaction and letting me know how bad idea was to don't get the reduction for the glasses. I got two pairs and in one I got the reduction and the other not, they are almost the same as my prescription isn't huge. Also they gave me 10 days of waiting for the glasses when usually you get them in a week. Not coming back.

I am a specsavers customer for a long time (Holborn branch) but had to change the branch as my office relocated. I wanted to get some contact lens check as I have always had sensitive eyes and contact lenses were quite difficult for me to bear, nevertheless i wanted to give it a try. There was a mix up initially with what exact tests I have to do and how long it would take so it turned out that i had to do my general glass prescription as well. I have been given the general prescription but been told that the one for contact lenses would be a different one. I came back a couple of days later to ask if i can have the contact lens prescription and encountered the lady that was serving me a couple of days before. The lady was incredibly rude and got incredibly frustrated that she had to explain to me why she couldn't give me the prescription yes. She started shouting at me that she isn't the optician and isn't the one responsible for the contact lenses (in my opinion, you try your best to explain to a customer when something seems odd or the customer challenges you or try to resolve it with other staff's help and not just shrug it off). I said to her several times that she should stop shouting at me and that i don't understand why i cannot have my prescription and that i am left without any lenses at all. Instead she started asking patronizing questions if i ever wore contact lenses and if i have any clue at all. that's not how you treat customers. Eventually her colleague came over and handled my questions really professionally, with charm and absolute competency. Please, please dear specsavers provide training to your staff that deals with customers.

Had an eye test done here. Felt like they are just interested in selling their products. Bought two pairs of glasses for £129. 1x Timberland and 1x Tomy Hilfiger. Tomy Hilfiger one came with specsavers’s Own case instead of branded case. One of the lenses was very loose in the frame. So I’ve now ordered a replacement frame from a different Specsavers’s branch.

I would just like to say thank you so much to the lady who served me today at lunchtime and was able to fix my glasses (replace a missing screw) in just a few minutes. Up until this time I had relied on a string to tie up the glasses. Although something as small as replacing a screw may be insignificant, it allowed me to comfortably see again without having to keep readjusting my glasses, so I definitely appreciate so much! especially when it comes to something as important as vision!!

Usual Specsavers chain, sometimes has a funny smell in the shop though. Good choice of frames but quite tightly packed at the front of the store. Staff are helpful and happy. Not sure when busiest times are as I go in after work at around 5.30 and it's a little full. I tried to get in the fire exit so make sure you keep walking to the corner doors, this is why I need new glasses. Nice new range of £25 acetate frames, really affordable as they become £70 with first level thinning, smudge and scratch protection, uv protection and a hydrophobic layer.

Surprisingly good experience. I don't usually trust the big chains for this sort of thing, but my wife had been having trouble finding frames she liked at the hipster frame shops nearby, so we decided to stop here and check out their selection. They had a much broader range than the other places we had been, a 2-for-1 (ish) sale, reasonable price points (£125 and £89 for the 2 styles she liked), and helpful staff. I was favorably impressed with the process of fitting, in which they took a variety of measurements and had them all checked by a second staffer. We'll see how everything pans out when she picks up the glasses in a week, but so far so good.

This opticians, provided some lense replacement for some frames I’d bought online. Id explained that I was moving jobs and we discussed other shops I could pick the item up from, then the team Kunal, Rajiv & Osman made arrangement to have this turned around in 2 hours, they were very organised and gave fantastic customer service, I was really impressed. They called me and I went back to pick them up before lunch. They exceeded my expectations, I thought i must leave a review. Well done spec savers for employing decent people. This Specsavers comes highly recommended.

Patience is required. Appointments typically start 10 minutes late and simple things that could and should be done in a single visit require multiple different appointments. If you are wanting contact lenses do not expect to be able to do the contact lense appointment as part of the eye test appointment. You will also need to book a 'teach' appointment if you are not currently using lenses (even if you have used lenses previously). In addition to this you will need to book a follow up appointment after using the lenses for a week. The entire experience is designed around their processes with no thought given to the inconvenience of having to schedule 4 appointments for something which could be easily and conveniently done in 2. The staff are for the most part friendly and professional but very much focused on following their inefficient processes rather than providing convenient customer service. Use an alternative if you can.

Genuinely awful service. I mean, let's be honest...Specsavers is pretty rubbish to begin with but this store tops them all. Rude staff that don't care, tick. Mismanagement of appointments and bookings so they change your appointment time and date or you show up and your appointment was never put in the calendar, tick. I am taking my custom elsewhere. I'm tired of dealing with these people. The service is awful and they never even apologise when they screw up. They gave me the wrong contacts and they made me book another appointment to get new ones fitted, fine. But then they changed the time of my appointment and made we wait another 3 weeks for another appointment. This company is rubbish. Go elsewhere. Anywhere else.

Came in to get prescription sunglasses and the girl was lovely however when I came out of having my eyes tested someone else had to tend to me and he acted the whole time like he was doing me a favor and couldn't be bothered. He then told me to collect the sunglasses the following Sunday; got there on Sunday only to find that the store is closed on Sundays.
