I am very happy with the service at Bailey Nelson. After a comprehensive eye-test, I chose my glasses. They are stylish and don't irritate my skin, which is sensitive. If you want hassle free specs shopping, this is the place to come to. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Lovely glasses. Expensive but nice. The relaxed lens is a delight. You may not need to get the full degree of thinning on the glasses- I saved 50£ by getting one layer less- and they look great. Pleasant staff and nice experience

The glass frame was cracked within the warranty covered period however Bailey Nelson refused to provide a replacement. As you could see from the photo, the leg is thin and the crack occurred around the bolt which Bailey Nelson insisted neither their design or manufacturer fault. After a frustrating time spend in the store, they promised me to forward my case to their head quarter and get back to me but I never received any email from them. Nice design and very light. But NOT DURABLE, NOT REPAIRABLE.

Bailey Nelson came to our rescue when my Dad had a fall in lockdown, broke his glasses and, of course couldn’t travel to London to get a replacement set sorted. In addition, my Dad has dementia associated aphasia and has associated anxiety. I called the branch he’d been to the year before to get eyes tested new glasses (I’m a loyal customer and got both my parents to get eyes tested / glasses in the past 5 years). The team at Covent Garden simply couldn’t have been more helpful, understanding and simply wonderful. I cannot recommend enough- not just frames and lenses and the designs are wonderful. I’ve been a fan for years but the entire customer service, focus on my Dads needs and problem solving approach has been AMAZING. Don’t hesitate. The wonderful design is matched and bettered by the care and attention they afford to their clients. 100% praise indeed. Thank you B-N xx

I have recently had two eye tests and purchased replacement glasses at Bailey Nelson. Everything was super-efficient and thorough. The optometrist was extremely good and the eye test was free. I find all the staff courteous and charming and the glasses stylish. Cannot recommend them enough.

10/10 about sums it up!! Very affordable and well made frames with Essilor lenses that fit me really well tick the first box.
The customer service was exactly what we all want from a business; polite, attentive, helpful with plenty of communication.
I will definitely be going back for a second set.

Bailey Nelsons are amazing! Not only did I pay less than half of what i'd normally pay for my glasses but they have a 30 day return policy if for any reason you don't get on with them (which I did) They have a huge range of fabulous frames to suit anyone and their customer service is wonderful. They are kind, patient, thoughtful and extremely helpful. I got my contact lenses from them too and they really go the extra mile in helping you make the right decisions. I know where i'l be going from now on!

I picked my glasses and they were very comfortable, light weight and vision is very clear in them. I have to thank the staff for helping me with my choice as it’s always hard to see yourself exactly how others see it.
Value for money is also great as normally glasses can get quite pricey.

Great vibe at Bailey Nelson. Had an eye test that was efficient and comfortable. Great optometrist. They dropped some stars because I overheard one of their sales associates being pedantic and seemingly intentionally unhelpful with a customer. There appears to be no ability for wheelchair bound customers to use the store (one person in a wheelchair stayed at the door while her glasses were adjusted, and the eye tests are done down a long flight of stairs). Also, the selection of frames is reducing year by year. It’s almost like they’ve given up being creative and have just decided to throw in the towel (they being Australia HQ). But, some staff are super genuine and caring and provide open and honest feedback.

Used to be absolutely first class when I first visited in 2019 but the two amazing staff members I dealt with have both left. My glasses took ages to come (I was having varifocals put in as only had readers due to lockdown and not being able to attend the store for a pupillary measurement plus there was confusion with the online portion of the company and the store. My husband also had issues as his Frank Air split on the frame and they wouldn’t replace for free even though he’d only had over a year. The pair we then paid for developed a fault too! The manager Reza at Covent Garden was really helpful and replaced the frames for something he liked, I think he had to pay a bit but he was happy. It was clear the Frank weren’t great and they were forcing my husband to have the new model of these and he didn’t even like the colours. I think in store much better than online but saying that I waited outside for 15 mins being summarily ignored in the freezing cold. I’d called and asked if I could drop by as the first appointment online was Tuesday and I received a text Thursday to say my glasses were ready. They said drop by and I may have to wait which was fine but someone could have come out and said to come back in 15-20 mins rather than freeze! They didn’t need two members of staff to deal with one family! And anyway, who has a family day out at the optician? I don’t think that’s great customer service either. In these hard times for independent businesses customer service needs to be better not worse. The glasses are good but the customer service needs improvement.

I used to pass by the Covent Garden store quite often on my way home. I decided to have my new glasses from them as I really liked just peeking into the store, the staff always seemed nice and always had a good range of cool glasses.
I had an eye test booked as well which was one of my best eye test, if I can say something like that. The staff is very professional and yet super friendly. They even helped me to choose a pair of glasses that would suit me the best, alongside with a pair of sunglasses. My glasses were posted to me, which is really great in these uncertain times, this way I didn’t have to travel to London only to collect them.

Fantastic customer service team. I bought my prescription glasses in store but a section of the frame had since fallen off. I contacted customer services and received swift responses; they provided a paid for postage for me to return my pair to be fixed (due to covid travel restrictions, I weren't able to travel in-store). They ended up replacing my glasses with a new frame at no extra charge as it was still under warranty. Very happy customer.

I have visited the Spitalfields and Covent Garden stores and received excellent service from both, most recently today in Covent Garden. I asked to change the colour of my frames and that happened right away no problem. More important, I had not got on especially well with my previous varifocals but the make up of the lens was changed to accommodate that, and so far so good!

I've gone to Bailey Nelson for glasses for a few years now - the glasses are always great quality and stylish - but this is the first time I have had my eye test through them. The 'free comprehensive eye test' most certainly lived up to its name! It was in depth, professional and I felt at ease, especially during these times we're in. All staff were helpful and made the experience a great one for me.

I was impressed by the professionalism and helpfulness of everyone at the Covent Garden location. Greetings were friendly and genuine, and during the eye test, the optician clearly explained all steps of the examination and made well-considered follow-up suggestions. The staff were extremely helpful (and patient!) while I chose frames and even encouraged me to try frames I might not have ordinarily tried. I couldn't be happier with the service. I went into the Covent Garden store not so long after lockdown had lifted. I wasn’t sure on what frames I wanted so tried on a lot until I found my perfect pair. The staff were so helpful and were happy for me to try on nearly half the store ???? despite them having to sanitise them after I tried them on. I finally found the perfect optical and sunglass frames and they were ready for me to collect a week later. I love them so much and get so many compliments from friends and strangers when I wear them. Will definitely go back to this store for my next frames.

The greatest compliment I can pay to any business is repeat business. So impressed with the quality of service and product on my first visit albeit 3 years ago, that now when I need a new pair of prescription glasses I don’t hesitate in approaching a brilliant customer focussed business, which is my considered opinion of Bailey Nelson.
Nothing is too much trouble and whether communicating face-to-face, by phone or email you feel nothing is too much trouble. Total customer satisfaction is what drives this business.
The range of frames available is extensive with styles to suit every trend. These are competitively priced and the quality of the product and the speed of turnaround is exceptional.
A total pleasure and a joy to do business with.

Went for an eye check and new glasses. Setting up the appointment online was quick and easy. My appointment was thorough , they were very professional and answered all my questions. The place is well equipped for the pandemic and I was very satisfied with the whole process. The staff is friendly and very professional.
