Lovely staff!! I went in for an eye test last week and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. One member of staff, in particular, was very helpful and made the whole experience very pleasant. Daniel was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Defiantly making Holloway my new home.

Good experience, was nervous about going as haven’t been for years. Although a little crowded when I arrived, the staff were considerate in making sure I had somewhere to sit and were conscious to ensure I wasn’t waiting long past my appointment. I was put at ease straight away by optometrist Mr Hussain, who was diligent and thorough throughout, as well as very friendly too. Would 100% recommend this store, specifically Mr Hussain.

Very swift service, but........ The sales consultant messed up leaving me with just one pair of glasses from the £69. I need to have my Lens shaved and the chap said he could get a discount for me. What he didn't inform me that the discount would mean I forfet the second free pair. Not only that but the discount was less than the cost of a second pair.

I've visited this place twice this week and on both occasions the service was impeccable. I was seen to quickly n thoroughly. Milaniyah served me on both occasions. My second visit she gave me my contact lens teach. She was brill patient and attentive. Also a young man called Daniel. D also had wonderful hospitality. I spoke to him on both occasions but I also saw, and was impressed by the way he dealt with other customers. I must say that the place has really changed for the better since I last went 2 years ago. The staff are all quite young but they are doing an exceptionally great job. I look forward to my next visit.

Got my first pair of glasses today and the whole process was so easy. Thanks to Natasha and Maysa for helping me with the eye test and picking out the glasses since I was completely unsure of what to do. Even during the pandemic this has been an easy time and putting on the glasses for the first time was amazing I've been putting them on and off all day looking at the difference. Thanks everyone and hope you all stay safe.

Considering we are currently in lockdown, this branch was unusually busy and packed. I had booked an emergency app for my daughter as she had been complaining of painful eyes. When we arrived door was locked (controlling customer numbers I suppose) however when we were allowed in, it was very busy. We waited a while to be seen. Social distances was not adhered to at all. I had to remind staff that I was waiting several times. Fast forward to collecting glasses (10 days later) again very busy. No Social distancing. Door locked again we were asked our reason for visiting, I explained and was asked to take a seat. We waited 10 minutes no staff had attended to us, I walked to reception to ask if we would be seen soon, a young lady said she could not find glasses. I explained I recieved a txt that is why I'm here gave her the name and waited. She said she would be right back. We waited another 10 minutes, still no update. I again walked to reception and asked if everything was okay, I gave her the name AGAIN and she finally found the glasses. She did the necessary Checks on my child, and then said she is not qualified a colleague would have to verify and sign off. We waited another 10 minutes for a 2 minute check. In all a visit which should have normally taken 10 minutes, took 30 minutes. Try and avoid on busy days if you can.

Wish I could rate 0 stars. Writing this review on behalf of my father with his most recent visit in Holloway Road branch. He visited the store last Thursday just to get his frames tightened as it was becoming loose. A staff member took his frame to tighten but instead she broke it in half, she was apologetic and checked to see if they had the frame in stock so they can replace. She noticed it's a discontinued frame and no longer have in stock but another staff member mentioned he had seen the same pair in another store and that he would have a look and if found they would then bring it into the store to fit his lenses in, but my father will have to be CHARHED £50. My father called me as his English is quite poor so I spoke to the manager or apparently the director of the store to get an understanding, he used this as an advantage to lie to me over the phone and tell me that his colleague prior to taking my dad's glasses, explained it will be at his own risk if anything happens because it's 3years old, when I asked my father if this is true he said no, he even asked the lady and she also said no she did not say that. Its been 5days now, my 71 year old father has been left with no glasses now, can't see very well, I've made a complaint 3 times to date, nothing has been chased or been dealt with, they promised to find the same frame and have it in store for Saturday. They still have not found it yet. They will only help you if you give them money. They broke my father's property and still expect him to PAY to fix it, surely if it's the other way around you will be made to pay for breaking a pair in their store. UPDATE: Thank you to Maisa who took this seriously and called my father in to fit his lenses into a new frame. Very helpful and friendly.

I was impressed by the level of service offered by the all staff at the holloway branch from entering the store to leaving. Social distancing has been implemented and the store cleaniness was of a high standard. Daniel was very professional and just the help I needed in finding and choosing the perfect fit glasses. I will be recommending the branch to family and friends and advising them to seek advice on shape and fit from Daniel the expert.

Rude service, my sister went to collect her glassess and was told she cant collect her glasses without a parent so i had to leave my online lesson as my parents were really busy. I didn't understand why they weren't able to give her glassess like its just glassess???? I arrived thereand they just completely ignore my presence and they then handed her glassess with 2 mins i was there, they didnt even ask if i was her sis or if i was here for her! i asked one of the women " quick question, why didnt you guys give my sister her glassess" she said with so much attitude" CoS ShES UNDER 16" ....... i was like okay? and? if she explained why i wouldnt understood but she then repeated herself again saying rudely "shes under 16" im like generally its just glassess she then said its for the NHS. l then said okay thanks i was only asking.... i was shocked on how i was spoken to the fact i had to leave me online lecture just be at the store for 2 mins and then have rude service. i wished i asked her name. Shes a short black women and wears a hijab. Plus the store was packed no social distancing SO GUYS IF U WANTGLASSESS FROM HERE GO AFTER LOCKDOWN there was about 20 people in the store

Amazing service today by the optician. I needed lenses and called, and was offered a spot for today as they understood it was urgent. Super understanding and as I had forgotten to bring my own case and glasses for the lenses test (stupid me) gave me some daily lense so I can do the test and go home. Even though I am not keen on going out because of covid, this one of the best optician appointment's i had. thank you for making it easier in those difficult times!

1) I was asked rudely to wear a mask (fair enough due to the circumstances I was going to wear it anyway, I was outside only asking if I could come in) for then discovering that people get in with the excuse ”I am exempt” when the new rules clearly say you must provide a card from the NHS that says so. 2) Staff does not clean frames after someone tried it on, ridiculous. 3) Nobody respect social distancing and the shop was very dirty. I wanted to trial contact lenses so I went to this store - I received friendly service from everyone. I struggled putting in my lenses at first but Milaniyah was very patient with me and made sure I didn't feel rushed. I will leave it as 5 stars, however one thing I would mention is that I visited the store 3 times during my trial because i needed extra teach-sessions. On my 2nd visit I also purchased two pairs of glasses. The staff member on duty that day (I'm not sure their name) was very friendly and I'm sure it was an honest mistake but they didnt mention about the 50% voucher I would receive at the end of the lense trial. Had I known about the voucher, I would have waited to purchase some frames. Not a big deal and friendly service made up for it in my opinion, but thought I should mention. Thanks.

Not bad but could be better. I had an eye test here recently and came in with a copy of a voucher on my phone to do this. As the e-Voucher literally stated I could either print it or show my phone to the staff, I opted to show my phone, only to be told it needed to be printed. I pointed the part of the voucher that said I could show my phone to the staff member who just reiterated it needed to be printed but that he "wouldn't make a fuss" about it (why would you make a fuss anyway?) In the end I ended up having to email them the voucher which was no big deal, but Specsavers should make that clearer on the voucher as I ended up feeling like I was putting the staff member out and was the one at fault. I had my initial eye scans done by a lovely and friendly lady (sadly I didn't take her name) and was probably the happiest with her service as she was also professional and courteous. When it came to the test itself it all felt a bit rushed, likely because it was nearing the end of their opening hours, but it did make me feel under a bit of pressure to speed through my responses. When it came to choosing the glasses I wasn't really given much assistance, which was fine as they were busy with another customer and I didn't ask for any help, but I was suddenly offered a bunch of important-sounding add-ons and wasn't quoted the price when I asked them how much extra it would be. It ended up being far more expensive than I thought. I probably would have opted only to upgrade one pair had I been fully aware of the cost, but more fool me for not pushing them for the price (I was only made aware of the price once the PDQ machine was presented to me and by then I felt too awkward to change my mind). Lastly, they gave me an expected date for when the glasses would come in for me to collect but they were not available on that day and instead came quite a few days later. I understand things may take a while, but I'd rather be told it would be a wait than given false expectations. On the day I turned up I found the door locked (probably due to Covid limiting the number allowed in store) but it was a bit embarrassing trying to open a locked door and having several customers turn to stare at me and perhaps some adequate signage on the outside of the door informing people to knock and wait would have been appropriate. When I got my glasses there was a customer in the store not wearing a mask and walking all around the place. When asked if he had one he stated he forgot. The staff member then asked him "are you exempt from wearing one?" even though the customer had literally just said he'd forgotten it. The staff seemed a bit flustered and not quite sure what to do in the situation. Not quite sure what the point is in locking the door to customers if you are just going to let people in without masks who are not medically exempt anyway. All in all though I am happy with my glasses and most of the staff were friendly enough. It's just a shame they weren't as informative to match.

In fact, never saw such a highly skilled of team in the last years. with great empathy and highly customer oriented At Specsavers I say you got an amazing teams of boys and girls. I was able to recognise names as I watched them all with great amazement. 5 Stars to this wonderful team of Daniel, Ali, Milaniyah and Liruisha. The staff in Holloway ignore there customers they have very bad customer service! The first member of staff a man who called to do the first part did not explain what was going on and just simply said sign... although I was accompanying my child he never explained anything and was very slack! We was waiting a good 45 mins beyond our appointment time and not one staff member approached me to let me know there was a wait or about what was going on.. they left the door open with no privacy. I myself went to crouch end specsavers a few weeks ago and the service overall is much better there as well as the cleanliness and will definitely go there next time as the hello store is very dusty and the lack of customer service is ridiculous.

I usually go to another branch which I regret that I didn't this time. I had eye test there and the optician I think her name was Natasha was so rude! oh yeah let's not forget how she was on her phone while supposedly mid of my eye test...The guy whom was helping me Quwazi, he was so unhelpful too. Please do yourself a favour and go to other branches and avoid holloway one!
