My experience at the Tottenham Court Road store was wonderful, from start to finish. I went for my routine check up recently and was really impressed by the professionalism and good customer service from all staff members. The manager, Shenaz, stood out for me as she was exceptional with customer care and her knowledge of glasses and lenses made me confident in my purchase. She also has a great eye for fashionable yet appropriate frame choice, she took her time helping and listening to my needs so that I could choose a suitable frame. Also, making sure she goes the extra mile so that I was left happy with my choice, making the whole experience run a lot smoother.

So so grateful for the Manager and General Manager. Nabil and Shenaz. They really go above and beyond for customer service, providing great care. The Google reviews do not reflect the experience I had here. Communication was great, they were helpful and professional but super friendly, and they really put me first as a customer. I really felt welcomed and valued. I cannot recommend enough.

Obviously loads of fake reviews here. :-( This branch continues to disappoint - today was the absolute last time going to Specsavers. It is a stressful experience from start to finish. - Staff dont give two hoots about customers - I bought 2 for 1 on sunglasses, with one prescription ready in a couple of weeks and the other without prescription. I asked if I could take the non-prescription today and was told "yes". I then paid £89 for the two pairs and was told "can you have a seat so I can clean these up for you"..... I was being sold the display pair with no explanation! I questioned this and was then informed that they didnt have the frames brand new in stock and thats why I was getting the display pair. Since when is it ok to pay full price for display glassses and not be informed of this before sale? Why would I pay full price for display glasses and why are they being sold to customers during the pandemic? - I was offered to keep the display glasses until the new frames came in, but staff member suggested the display lenses would then be transferred into the new frames. Again, what kind of service is this? I want new frames, and NEW lenses for which I have paid for. - The display frames I tried on were all filthy - absolutely no care to cleaning especially in the time of Covid. - The final nail in the coffin was receiving a case for my second hand sunglasses whereby the glasses dont fit in the case unless I take the cloth out. Just so imcompetent and careless! Absolutely diabolical shop - I will never go back to Specsavers.

I had ordered a pair of glasses quite recently and I was amazed by the great customer service offered by all members of staff whilst still being limited by how much they could help due to the new Covid restrictions. All staff were very respectful, kind and tended to my needs and preferences when it came to selecting a new pair of glasses for myself and my wife. Everybody was great but one person that stood out in particular to me was the manager Shenaz who helped me choose the glasses and put the order through, she helped me look for the best alternatives without it being too costly while still giving me what i wanted. Overall I am very happy with my experience at specsavers and I will definitely be coming to this particular branch.

I ordered a pair of varifocals using my old frames which I got as a second pair from the Brixton branch but never used. Paid £367 and was told that I cold get a second pair for VDU usage which the optometrist suggested. When I collected the 1st pair and was ready to order the second pair I was told that the offer applied only to new glasses. So if you try to recycle, you paid much more than if you buy two new pairs. I was willing to buy a new pair provided I’ll get the single view lenses free but the manager said NO. I feel their prices are not very transparent, Staff they must be on commission and the company overall does not care about recycling. How many of you have a drawer with second frames from Specsavers that never use?

Went into the Tottenham Court Road shop today to buy my first pair of glasses, I felt really daunted by all the choices and had no idea which ones would suit be best but one of the optical advisors called Daniel D helped me so much and made my experience really enjoyable. He helped me pick a whole range of styles that would suit my face shape and took the time to help me pick the perfect pair of glasses. He was so patient and really put the effort into helping me pick the glasses that suited me best and didn’t make me feel rushed or that I was taking up too much time. I’ve left with two lovely pair of glasses and I’m so happy. What amazing service thank you so much! Daniel is a credit to your team.

My eye test was a success with Sonia Shah, a professional like no other and more in her professionalism in understanding the client with great advice, and many details that fill the client with an environment prone to return and recommend 100%. ... If there is one person with the best ways to lead a customer to the best, they can choose regarding their glasses, it is El-Turik professional in customer service, his charisma and kindness makes the customer feel satisfied to recommend this store as the best in central London

There's a good selection if frames and the offers look good too. But if it looks too good you can be sure there's a catch or three. I left unsure whether the offers are full of weasel words or the salesmen are fork tongued. What I thought would be simple arithmetic ended up with me watching a magic show as the sales guy pulled rabbits out if hats which nullified any discount. The 25% discount for over 60s works out more expensive for the OAP than for young guy paying top rate of tax. My conclusion is that the business needs to take a long hard look at the ethics employed in the sales process. I went in expecting to buy a pair of specs. I walked out without ordering and checking my pockets to see if I'd been dipped by the con artists they employ. The con is built into the pricing structure and the staff training. Buyer be careful. Leave your credit card at home.

The most helpful opticians I have ever been to! Drew was very friendly and went out of his way to assist. I was visiting my partner and was down in London from Glasgow, I came in at 1830 on a Saturday evening with some damaged glasses - Drew repaired these as best as he could (they were beyond repair, but it was enough to get by!) Drew then arranged for me to have an eye test that evening, and my new glasses were ready for collection by lunchtime on Sunday in time for my train back north. A genuinely fantastic experience and by far the best Specsavers branch I have ever been to (that's at least 6!) Thanks!

Utmost quality. Never have I been to a better eye store than Specsavers Tottenham Court. Not only did their employees consistently treat me with fantastic customer service whenever I visited the store (and I visited many times), their in-store policies are amazing. When I came in a month later after ordering an updated pair of glasses from them, I informed them that my right eye felt blurry. Within moments, they gave me a free eye check-up for the next day and ultimately a free replacement for the right lens. As a study-abroad student who has visited various eye stores in London, I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for great prices without sacrificing great quality.

Horrible experience. Misleading information and offensive approach from staff. Ordered prescription glasses, very rushed and careless. One doctor said the glasses were a perfect fit, after prescription another said the glasses were wrong fit my face. While picking up, the staff didn't have any idea what he was doing with the glasses and made me feel offended but couldn't say a word because I was afraid that they will damage my glasses which they wouldn't pay back. As the name suggests, you might save a little but don't expect a good service and satisfactory customer experience. Wouldn't recommend to anyone, I still have problems with the glasses. I regret it very much to have shopped there.

This is, in my experience, a store of two halves. The upstairs contact lens and sight check space is really friendly, professional and chilled. The downstairs is a hard-sell trading floor. The guys working there are clearly salespeople first and foremost, rather than eyecare people. Thankfully I was able to stand my ground and avoid shelling out more than I would otherwise have intended (there was pressure) but some of the conversations I overheard were eye-opening. Straight out of a sales training manual (I trained in sales so have been there). Communication is another problem. The guy that fitted my glasses *beckoned* me over with his index finger, rather than asking me to take a seat! These people need some basic courtesy, communication and customer service training and the store needs to change its focus away from pure sales and towards listening and meeting customers' actual needs. After having my glasses sorted, I was told that I would receive an email to a survey to rate my experience - no such survey ever arrived. I will happily use this store again, upstairs only, for eye tests and contact lenses, but will likely go elsewhere for any future spectacles.

I've done my glasses near my work place at your London Wall branch with Jess who was amazing. However, due to the current situation and cause I needed my frames adjusted as they were too tight behind my ears, I went into my local branch at East Ham. The lab person adjusted them for me but when I got home I've noticed 2 fingerprint smudges(picture) in the middle of the lenses. I've called the East Ham branch immediately from where the receptionist told me to phone London Wall as they don't have my details in the system. I've called and spoke with the manager in London Wall who said it's East Ham's fault and she will call them up with my details and tell them to arrange a time so I could go in to get them fixed and she'll call me back. It's been 2 weeks and she never called so I called today again and because of Covid crisis I got in touch with Sammie at Tottenham branch. She said she emailed my details over to East Ham and I should call them up again to discuss it with them as it's their fault. I've phoned EH and after a while a rude lady picked up who said "they shouldn't have adjusted my glasses in the first place as they were not done in their store, that I should've been rejected because they're a franchise but they've done the adjustment out of goodwill and she will talk to the manager today in his day off to talk to the London Wall branch as they're not taking responsibility for what happened".She said the manager will call me, needless to say no one did! So I called back to Tottenham and spoke with ROB!! and thank God I did! He was the only helpful person I've dealt with who actually listened to my issue and actually wanted to help me so I was able to go to the Tottenham branch and get my glasses fixed in a few hours. But only thanks to Rob. I had my glasses for 1 month and was unable to wear them with all this issues. If it wasn't for Rob's kindness I wouldn't be writing this now. I cannot emphasise enough how reassuring and sincere he was. Also he called back when he said he will unlike all the other people I've dealt with. He deserves a huge pay rise and all the recognition he can get. He's a legend!!! Top notch customer service even if I didn't do my glasses in this branch he still helped me. Give him a rise, a promotion, a paid holiday, anything! I would highly recommend this branch to anyone who wants to deal with nice people who care about you and your concerns. Please check your EAST HAM branch as the customer service is horrible and all the employees are rude!

5 stars especially after the following incident. Thoroughly impressed. I have been a customer for contact lens for around 10 years here. I've always had good service. Yesterday, I went in to collect a pair of lens with changed prescription. A lady (I forgot to get her name), picked up contact lens for a different person (with same surname), however, asked me to book an appointment for a fit. I knew, I didn't need such an appointment. Anyway, she didn't allow me to just take the lens away (which I was insisting). On checking (after quite a bit of confusion), it was found they were not for me. Then she found the right ones. I am impressed that even though I was insisting I am happy to take the lens away (without a fit appointment), she stood her ground and did the right thing. Thanks to a lot, especially to her. Thanks to the whole team for the good work and service over the years.
