I solely come here for my eye tests because the team are so friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell they all enjoy their jobs and work and really go above and beyond to put you at ease. I find eye tests a bit nerve-wracking for some reason but the moment I step foot in the door here I feel instantly looked after and reassured. Plus the tests are quick unlike the Boots one I did once that was unbearable slow. Highly recommended!

Not often one to leave a review, but really friendly staff, the guy on the door with long hair was lovely, Ed who helped me find a pair was great and very patient. I can't remember the lady who did my eye test, but she too was really friendly. Considering it was simply an eye test, it was a genuinely lovely store!

Very disappointed with their revamped policy. Booked an overdue Eye test / screening on the phone. Asked various questions as to price of spectacles & lenses.....and was advised accordingly. After the test & once frames were selected, price turns out to be totally different even after various offers & discounts have been applied. Furthermore their T&C's are in the process of changing......so whereas before payment was due upon receipt of glasses, now it's up front & only applies for a month! Staff friendliness, professionalism and Eye test Examiner out of this world and will continue to use this outlet. Furthermore it was nice to see that staff members from over 3 years ago were still there.

Here is my feedback for the disrespectful man I spoke with over the phone, who didn't even leave me to talk. Awful customer service. I went there for an eye test at the end of December with my sister which cost us around 2x£20. A day before my appointment I got a call after 9 pm from one of the staff members, to make sure I will be there for my appointment, otherwise, they can take another booking. The optician who done my eye test was super friendly and professional however I asked for contact lenses training and they confidently booked an appointment for the next following day at 10 am, saying"they have prepared the contact lenses for me". In the morning I got a call around 30 min before my appointment that they need to cancel it because of coronavirus and the restrictions. According to them, they are not allowed to do training. I have to say that it is obvious if it's about the money they can call you even after 9 pm to make sure they won't lose any time and money from another customer but if it's about training(which is free) they cannot call you at least 1-2 hours before your appointment. People have life and they have plans but of course who cares if it's free. Very unbelievable they had no idea about the restrictions through we are living in COVID for more than a year, so all the businesses follow the news to keep themselves updated. Therefore more than one person confirmed my training appointment. Not to mention that they tightened my sister's glasses too much and they broke after 2 weeks, and again all they said to her is that they cannot do anything about that. I will never go back there... Whoever chooses Specsavers I strongly recommend you to choose another branch as it's the same company but branches are not sharing data or better you choose another company I believe you would get must better customer service somewhere else.

Awful customer service by the in store staff when booking an appointment. As a Lens Mail customer, you are allowed to access appointments at any store, however this branch refuses to honour it and becomes argumentative and pushy to those who ask them to follow Specsavers’ company policy and the T’s & C’s of Lens Mail. This also includes eye care health issues; refusing to see a customer under Lens Mail who isn’t registered to a local GP, when a contact lens has split and scratched their eye - instructing them to go to a hospital, in a pandemic! Would avoid this branch at all costs and visit other, more positive franchisees as this store puts sales over customers. They need to ensure all staff understand that Specsavers policy overrules their store preferences.

The staff there is professional and helpful. Once I went there with the intention to buy a new pair of glasses since my current ones had become so loose, the staff smilingly asked me to hand him my glasses and pressed them in a way that they fit me so much better, for free. And so I have a fit pair of glasses without forking out £100 and a new sense of appreciation in human's decency.

Just had a routine eye test in and amongst all the Covid restrictions. Every staff member I dealt with (especially the French gentleman whose name I didn’t catch) was exceptionally professional. Really nice experience.

The set up is ultra hygienic the guy who did my eye test on poit and Lady Nasser has the illest taste ever, chose a pair the suited me down to a cellular level, my thanks my lady. Was past there in '18 world cha get but the staff to be fair made it seamless and enjoyable even with the constant spray wipe routine. Well do e Specsavers Clapham doing the sw11 community proud.

Yannick was extremely helpful, so the 1 star is not for that, it's just for the hidden costs... not because of that 10GBP but if they do an OCT photography test and it costs you extra money they should tell you beforehand not when you're paying... I bit feels like rip off or being scammed...

I went with my partner to buy something, he received a prompt help , however there were no more chairs available and this salesman went to get a chair for my partner , I stood put, then I discovered in the corridor at least 4 empty chairs......... I was a little shocked as I have found quite rude for him to take only a chair for my partner as he was buying. While I had to stand, the rest of the tables had 2 people sitting, man and wife. The salesman did not know, but I am just recovering from an operation and sitting for me was important. I think good MANNERS are always welcome and more chairs always useful. And you never known what the person in front of you went through........customer service: -5

Inattentive customer service. I went into the store today to collect my glasses. It was very busy so I expected to wait a bit which was fine. The store manager checked me in and he was very nice and professional. But the staff member who gave me my glasses seemed as if he could not wait to get rid of me. He didn't want to adjust my glasses after the first try and didn't clean the lenses that had his prints all over. He was keen, however, to check to see if I had any unpaid balance remaining even though I had told him I had paid in full and had my receipt as proof. If I hadn't felt unwell from a throat infection to begin with I would have complained then and there. Needless to say I will be taking my future optical needs elsewhere. Even if you're very busy, each customer deserves good, attentive service, not rushed and made to feel small.

They have prescribed my dad (who is a haulage driver) wrong glasses. Firstly, his astigmatism was taken into the account with all of the previous glasses. When we have mentioned it to a consultant this time he had no idea what this condition is. Secondly when he has noticed that he can only see on long distances with the new glasses and cant see speedometer in his truck as it is too close we came back to this store so they could fix it but were rudely turned back by their consultant saying that it is our fault and we were meant to tell them that he needs to see the speedometer too. And we have to pay more to add this option. Who will pay us for waiting for another week because of someones mistake??? In fact we have told the optitrician that he is a haulage driver but we were never asked about the type of glasses he needs so it was decided by the optetrician. Saying that, this is a common sense that the driver needs to see the long distances and speedometer. We are paying to get the service from professionals we are not meant to tell them what to do as we are not educated enough in this field. We just want to pay and see! UPDATE: the issue has been resolved by customer service team and branch manager. Thanks.

Absolutely appalling service! I will never set my foot in this store again. They clearly struggle to keep customer records up-to-date in their systems, to call back when promised and, most annoyingly, to listen to their customers. To be fair, they have one professional optician (and in the last two months I've seen three) but the customer service staff are all totally incapable of actually serving customers. I would not recommend this particular store to anyone.

I went to Specsavers Clapham Junction on Sunday and it was very busy but I was welcomed by Nicola and was attended by Alan. He was exceptionally helpful and listened to the issues I experience with my glasses which I purchased from another Specsavers branch. Alan did something magic on my glasses which solved the issues!! I was extremely pleased with the service ! I’ll definitely come back again!

What would have been a negative review turned positive with great customer service. The waiting time was something that was a negative and I began to get quite frustrated with what seemed like an endless wait. However I was called in by one of the optometrists Athaur Alkas and his charming personality and his friendly nature helped me to forget about the long wait that I had previously. His examination was thorough and his knowledge was exceptional. I finally understand the reasoning behind the tests I always get done. If this is the standard of future opticians then I believe a lot more people will value the importance of getting eye tests done and I for sure will return in the advised two years to see him again. I would definitely recommend getting an eye test with him.

Came in for an eye test. The branch is a bit small but the staff and service was fantastic! Very professional service and the optician gave me great advice. There was zero pressure to purchase anything which was amazing as I know most of these corporate companies pressure their staff to sell sell sell!! Good to know that there are still companies that put the customer first!! Would definitely recommend.

First and foremost, if it wasn't for Aaron and Alan I would never return to this store. Customer service today was absolutely shocking.... Unbelievable! Too many issues to speak about from unreasonable waiting time (50 mins) to being completely ignored when I should've been assisted to select my frames after my eyetest. I ended up walking out empty handed in utter disbelief.

Not the biggest selection on view, but excellent service, affordable pricing (I have terrible eyesight so have to pay extra for ultra-thin lenses and these guys are the best value), and very thorough eye tests. Really helpful and knowledgeable staff too.

Can't fault the optometry here, all the staff are very professional and I am never disappointed by the care received here. However, on my most recent visit it became clear the manager was going to great lengths to upsell more expensive eyewear and on realising I was not biting moved me to a more junior member of staff to finish the process. Collection was just comical when the staff member squeezed the glasses behind my ears in an attempt to convince me they were correctly fitted. I will be trying vision express next time.

Visited the Clapham branch today to get a pair of rose gold circular glasses and the help there is absolutely amazing. The young man who helped me with the broken wrist (I’m very poor with remembering names) took initiative to make sure that the glasses would be perfect, especially when I’m around so much technology and glaring screens on a day today basis. He is definitely the role model of helpful staff.

I went to the clapham Junction straight after work in the hope that they could fix the arm on my reading glasses. I depend on these for any close up work, and since they broke 3 days ago I have been struggling to see properly. I went in store today and explained my plight to the store manager Graham Tritton. Not only did he have excellent customer but he also gave me a brand new frame. All this and it had already gone 7.00 PM. Cannot explain how grateful I am. 5 stars are well deserved to him for his persistence to leave me satisfied. At first he thought that they were out of stock? But he searched and searched found them and then he just fixed it. Brilliant...#happyicansee

Went for annual check up as my eyes were getting tired and a bit blurry. Arrived on time for my prebooked appointment and was seen straight away. The ophthalmologist was very warm, friendly and professional. My only disappointment was that I had to fork out money to pay for a new set of glasses. Silly me thought I could use my old glasses frame but that's not possible. Collected my two pairs of glasses today, happy with the choice I made!
