Rude and unwelcoming staff We initially entered the store and was greeted by a very hostile woman. My mum felt so uncomfortable and judged that she did not want to remain in the store. I think that, especially at the moment, the staff, especially those they have welcoming customers, should be more understanding and if anything a little cheerier. The actual optician was lovely and efficient and my eye test went well However I was then passed over to the same lady to fit my new glasses and I felt the same hostile energy.

He was incredibly patient and helpful, assisting me in every way so I could choose a pair of glasses (my first) that I loved. Thank you very much.

Not really good, felt the eye test was rushed. This seems to be always the case might start looking around. Seemed like chaos in there, the after care was good from the lady and she really was good.

Thanks for fixing my glasses, no fuss, no questions and straight on it (so much better my experiences at Vision Express haha). Appropriate health and safety measures have been placed although if more than 1 customer enters, not really enough space to socially distance behind those chairs

We have 2020 and they don’t share prescription details between local shops. So “the old customer” has no value. The lady said to go to the other one ???? Some big marketing fish needs to be fired.

I bought a pair of glasses to use only a year to break down, quality has a problem very much, and go to the shop repair assistant to suggest me to buy a new pair, difficult way wants to buy a pair of new myopia glasses every year? Unbelievable

After having Specsavers as my optometrist for many years in Australia I thought they would be the same in the UK. Unfortunately not! Firstly, when booking the eye test there was no information about cost which made me assume they gave free eye tests (as they do in Australia). However after I had sat down to start the test she told me it will cost £22... When I first arrived I was asked to start looking at frames and choose one I would want... I had not even had the eye test to see if I needed glasses... This makes me think they fake the results of the test to make people buy glasses. Secondly, the eye test was poorer than that in Australia. She only took photos not the air puff test. Again, paying £22 for a test that was not even completed properly... Upsetting. Thirdly, the actual optometrist did not want to listen to what I had to say, I was trying to tell her my previous issues with my eyes and how I feel they are getting worse. She did not want to hear it... I was told I needed glasses however after having the experience I did here I will definitely be going somewhere else for a second opinion and if I do need glasses I will be ordering them online! Would definitely not recommend anyone to come here! There are many other opticians in Wimbledon that have better service, better tests and better prices.

The staff were absolutely lovely. I was torn between three glasses and several members of staff came to help me and when asked have honest opinions and then helped me decide which deal would be the best. The person who did my exam was also really informative and extremely friendly and smiley. Overall a lovely experience and such great price!!!

Arrived 5 mins before apt so 'on time'. Was literally told to 'hurry up we have other customers' by the girl doing the initial details. Oh and if youre wearing contacts, they won't offer you a pot to put them in whilst you have the eye test free...costs £2. 'it's not free' was the snarly comment. Optometrist was professional and good but that initial terrible customer service meant I bought glasses elsewhere. I'd forgotten why I stopped coming here years ago. Avoid ...or maybe they can actually improve. 3.7 on Google says a lot about any place. Edit: all the responses from Specsavers are 'please use this form to review' which is ridiculous as no one's going to bother. Just take their business elsewhere.

I usually have check ups at the Tooting Broadway branch, but Tooting had no appointments available for my selected dates, so I settled for the Wimbledon branch and frankly regretted it! One good thing about Wimbledon is that they appear to have plenty of appointments available, but I can see why... unfortunately, the team at Wimbledon are dreadfully disorganised... 1.) I arrived on time and was made to wait 45 mins before I was seen despite booking online and well in advanced. 2.) Specsavers Wimbledon were supposed to call the Tooting branch for my current prescription but failed to do so (even on the day of the appointment... whilst I was there) which resulted in even more time wasting... 3.) I was in and out of the waiting area no less than 5 times because notes were not being commuicated as they should have been. 4.) When I was finally seen the Optomerist was very patronising and spoke to me like I was an idiot. After the appointment I decided to go to the Tooting Branch myself to update them with my new prescription as experience has taught me not to rely on the Wimbledon team to do this competently. I will complete my contact lense trial with Wimbledon as I have started now and the Tooting Branch has advised me to do so, but after this I will remain with Tooting. Unfortunately not a great experience...

My actual optician is Vision Express in Wimbledon, however I was so badly treated there when I recently had an eye emergency I tried Specsavers. They saw me quickly, were very thorough and didn't try to poach me as a permanent customer. For this reason I shall shortly be transferring my custom to this Specsavers.

Customer service was great if you like a robotic, conveyer belt experience - I don't care for it. I prefer a personalised service especially as how glasses are an individual specific need. A month later and 3 subsequent visits and my glasses are still not sitting correctly. My prescription hasn't changed dramatically in the last 4 years yet my new glasses are not as effective as my old ones. I'm baffled. I paid for all the add ons to reduce squinting and headaches yet I'm not benefitting from these yet. I can't help but wonder whether these were actually added. I would not go there again nor would I recommend them.

Worst customer service ever in this shop. I’ve bought several pair of glasses in other Specsavers. I came back to this shop as I wanted to buy a set of daily contact lenses and asked for trials before with a prescription done by them (same shop) only 1 year ago and 2 years valid according to their recall period, ended up being asked to pay further 20£ for another eye test. Another customer lost. Don’t go there.
