Initially I thought specsavers in Worcester Park had been really helpful in sorting out glasses that were never really good in terms of my vision. I spent a few weeks going backwards and forwards and they always said they were fine. I spent two years going about with glasses that made me feel disorientated until I went to a smaller opticians with staff who had much more experience and found out that my prescription was totally wrong in my right eye. I now have amazing glasses and realise that specsavers let me down badly. Never again!!

Enjoyable experience in having a test and selecting new glasses. All members of staff were interested in providing their services. Prices are good too so I'm happy. Once I gave order, my glasses took just 6 days for me to collect.

They got my prescription wrong - way too strong. Up by 0.25 and 0.5 left and right eyes respectively, and also changed my axis. I have stigmatism so I've been told by another optician that it should not have been changed as it takes ages to adjust for it - mind you I completed all the forms beforehand and specifically mentioned I had mild stigmatism. They either did not bother reading it or they are not competent enough to know better. What makes it worse is that they called me before my appointment to check... This is my eye health at stake here. Wearing wrong prescriptions even if only temporary whilst I get my other glasses corrected with the right prescription, still means it is detrimental to my eye health... MEET SPECSAVERS STANDARDS. Also they never pick up the phone - I've called 4 times in different time frames and they never picked up. They need to call you otherwise you'll find it really hard to speak with them over the phone.

My wife and I have recently visited this store and were very impressed by the whole experience. Staff are very friendly and patient and we didnt feel at all rushed. They took the time to talk us through the types of glasses that would best suit us and actually explained the reasons why and were honest enough to say if ones i tried would not suit me (which i really wanted). Another larger branch i had been to before didn't bother to mention any of this and just told me everything i tried looked great (which they didn't). I highly recommend this branch if you want a more personal experience and staff that actually know what they are talking about.

Having an eye test here was an OK experience. It wasn't terrible but it could have been better. The staff could all have done with a Customer Service refresher course. I got the impression they took customers for granted and dealt with them in an off-hand manner. I arrived about 5 minutes early for my appointment, despite the store being empty I was left standing for a few minutes whilst the member of staff completed some kind of administration work not connected to me. Having sat in the waiting area, I noticed a water dispenser that worked but there were no cups. There was a magazine rack but no magazines. It would have been nice to have read something whilst I waited. Instead, I listened to the two opticians talking amongst themselves (using colourful language at times) until one of them came to me, more than five minutes after I was supposed to be seen. I couldn't fault the eye test (although there was no peripheral vision check) at the end though, I had to wait too long for the supervising optician to come and check over the probationers work making me uncomfortably close to running out of parking time. So, overall they were a bit Myopic on seeing the experience from the customers' perspective.

Needed some repairs carried out during lockdown - they're not my regular branch - but staff were very helpful and resolved the issue while maintaining social distancing as much as they could. Very well organised, polite and just dealt with the issue and sorted the issue with my glasses. Other businesses could learn a lot with the social distancing practices Specsavers have in place. I went there to get my glasses sorted - not to risk my health - and they delivered above expectations. Shoudve gone to Specsavers? I did!

It’s 11:08Am on a Saturday and I am currently standing in front of the shop in Worcester Park with appointment for prescription at 11:00am. The shop isn’t open. It should open at 10.30 and there’s no message to be seen. Not message on my phone. Not impressed. It’s my only day for my family. What a disrespect to customers!

Smart shop and reasonable range of styles at acceptable prices, but not as cheap as advertised if yo need anything other than basic lenses and frames. Worcester Park shop could do with more seating whilst waiting to be seen.

Do not go on a Saturday!! I arranged an appointment to get my contact lenses through specsavers worcester park and had a very tedious experience just trying to get my prescription. My first appointment was on a Saturday, after waiting over 20 minutes they explained they are under staffed and someone had booked the incorrect appointment, so I had to come back. No problem came back that afternoon, where Trudy helped train me for my trial. After continuously moving away to do other things it was pretty distracting trying to put the lenses in my eye. Also while one of the opticians was curling her hair in one of the consulting rooms (short staffed after all?) I left failing to take one of them out of my eyes, and came back the following weekend and the woman who trained me was great. I got the lenses in and out of my eyes twice within 20 minutes. All I needed now was my after care appointment which I arranged the following Saturday (10th august) I was running late due to traffic and rang ahead to see if it was worth rescheduling. The person I spoke to insisted it was fine to come in so I turned up and waited in the waiting room for 25 minutes. The optician who was due to see me at 11.25 came out of her room and the sales assistant informed her i was still here. Standing just outside the waiting room while I was sitting 6 feet away. The optician took it very badly, huffing, sighing and moaning i was too late and she couldn't see me. She then made a loud comment "well I'm going to see others first because they've got here on time" I would almost understand but i did call ahead and was told it was fine. There was only one other customer in the whole store and I came back the next day and was seen and sorted within 8 minutes so considering all of this it just seems like terrible service delivery. I then went to leave as I felt uncomfortable and asked the assistant who helped me earlier a couple of questions about my prescription. Trudy came over and interrupted and answered my questions quite bluntly in a rude tone. Overall 5 appointments to get my prescription. I took that and ordered them online because I do not want to deal with specsavers anymore. Its hit and miss as the people I saw in 2 of my appointments were very helpful, as were the shop assistants. Seems like a couple of employees need some lessons in customer service. Maybe if Trudy was as firm with the person curling their hair in a consulting room on a Saturday afternoon as she was answering my questions, the shop would run more efficiently.

A really dreadful experience with the staff here at Worcester Park store , they gave me a price for varifocal lenses from £88 so I cancelled a vision express appointment so happy to get a good price at spec savers. I later called to confirm how to finalise the order, and the same woman told me the price was now £288, she said she rang the wrong varifocal list... (really...so £200 more from 1 list to the other?) baring in mind these were standard varifocal with No frame just 1 pair of lenses. Then when I asked to talk to the manager, I was told he’s busy with a customer and had to wait, I waited after 45 mins and surprise she put the phone down, I called back and waited 30 mins on hold. Almost 2 hours of wasted time, after the initial false price given, added to a lost appointment. The manager at this store should be changed before they destroy the stores reputation any more. End result... me and my partner have now ordered our lenses online, and saved £175. However it is due to appalling service and phones being put down after 45 mins plus ignored for another hour that made me write this review.
