Update: following the owners suggestion below I filled in their survey form and they sent me a standard email saying they are sorry for the bad experience. Useless, was not worth my time. I am now pretty much sure that it is a selling trick that they do not tell their costs in advance! They sent me a text message saying my vision check is due. As I am getting their contact lenses via the Wimbledon branch I thought the test is for free and booked it. Nowhere on their booking form it was said I'd need to pay for it. When I came for the test they did not say that to me too. However, they said they'd need to charge me £25 AFTER the test. When I raised it with them they did not offer any explanation. Very bad customer service.

Seems cheaper at the outset than other places but can end up a lot more expensive as they do a harder sell of unnecessary add ons which you've not needed before and don't already have. If you're not savvy with salespeople and used to another opticians (in this case Boots Wimbledon), you could get stung. For that reason I say shouldn't have gone to Specsavers.

Booked an eye test for my 5yo. Terribly rude staff, got all the booking details wrong. They say they have parking, they don't. There is only a pay and display car park up the road. Waited 40 minutes and didn't get seen by anyone because apparently they only have one room with a computer and the other makes the appointment three times longer because they have to write by hand. Ended up leaving and booking somewhere else.

Have been coming here for years! Not the cheapest for contact lenses but the frame range is good and the team in here are amazing, always remember me and usually get seen by the same people. Always smiley and supportive when need help and quick service even in peak times!

Twice I have experienced terrible service at this branch of Specsavers. Being on Universal Credit I explained to them numerous times that I could only afford the cheapest option available. Not only did they constantly try to ‘encourage’ me to spend more money but, on one occasion, told me the lense option I was choosing was not very good!! It was a humiliating experience both times - the staff are poorly trained, show no empathy whatsoever and provide a terrible customer experience. ‘Shouldn’t have gone to Specsavers’!! Never again

Worst experience I've ever had in a Specsavers. Explained to the lady at reception that I need some spare daily contact lenses as my monthly contact lenses were irritating my eyes. After sitting down, I explained to the lady that this has been an on going issue for the last 3months that the optician was concerned about. I then explained to her that this morning my monthly lenses had caused me severe irritation again so I swapped to a daily pair and was fine after an hour. She responded by suggesting I check my cleaning regime, try new lenses, change my pot. If she would have listened at the start she would have relised that a problem lasting for 3 months under review of a specialist might have already looked at these issues. If she would have been empathetic in her response I wouldn't of minded but her tone of voice was patronising and demeaning! I suggested that I felt as if I was having an allergic reaction to the lense, which she didn't even acknowledge. After some further discussion she understood what I was saying, and responded by asking 'why didn't you just say that?'. Her ability to listen, respond and ask a question was terrible. This shouldn't be hard and shouldn't take lengths of discussion for someone who is apparently been working in eye health for 13years! She even walked away and ended the consultation as she didn't get in the job to basically be questioned by a patient! What a joke. I've never written a review before this, but no way would I want anyone else having this poor service. Specsavers you need to think carefully about your employees, eye health should be treated no different to every other health concern and the people in first line contact need to be competent and listen.

Absolutely appalling. On collection of glasses could not see properly was told I needed to get used to new lenses next day took them back. Another eye test it was completely different to the 1st. 2 weeks later still waiting for glasses to be told they have seen them and they are trying to find them. Nobody bothering to call back. Cancelling order will go somewhere else after wasting 5 weeks.

Very helpful staffs. Patient and welcoming. The time for ordering contact lenses here is much faster than in Wimbledon (same prescription took over a month at ss Wimbledon, but less then one week at ss Morden. ) Definitely would love to turn to them for my further optical service.
