We have been coming to Leightons for many years and have been well looked after by Renee, Jay and the team. They are experts in their field and know many surgeons in their field. Under Jay’s supervision I have had two successful cataract procedures carried out at Parkside Hospital, both with excellent outcomes. They also train a lot of young people who are entering the profession. My wife loves all the stylish brands that the shop carries. A great asset to Putney

Very pleased with my visit to Leightons. Claire and Renne looked so well after me, they took the time for the eye examination and later provided great professional advice to choose the best glasses for my needs. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I have been there for my regular check up a couple of times and to fix a pair of glasses - they were able to provide very helpful and useful advice on the glasses which no one had provided before!

I have never had better service from any other opticians in my many years of needing spectacles. The range of frames is extensive and beautiful, the staff talented in finding the right ones to suit both face and pocket. I could not recommend Leightons more highly in all that they do.

I cannot praise highly enough the care I have received at Leightons, after being recommended by a friend. The appointment came in good time, as an additional eye problem was discovered and I had a GP referral sent by Jai the same day. Also, in these times, I must note that the premises were spotless and it was explained that after I left , everything I came into contact with would be disinfected to ensure that it would be covid secure.

Excellent friendly care. Little change to sight since previous examination at large well-known pharmacy/opticians, so no new spectacles required; a phenomenon unknown in the past where new frames are a high priority!

I would highly recommend going here for what you need the service that was provided was second to none it was the best service you could possibly ask for. The staff are just kind and charming having no issues providing you with what you need definitely going back for anything else needed. Would definitely recommend other going out as well they will definitely not be disappointed mark my words!

Having worn glasses for 15 years, this is the first time I have ever had glasses made to measure. I am in awe of my new glasses and the service provided by this optician. I will return without a doubt and am still wondering why I had never been measured or had such precision on the style, size of lens, length of arms or width of the bridge in other opticians before. This is just amazing! And I purchased the same make of frames that I have had for 15 years. These now fit perfectly. Thank you so much.

Extremely well organised, by appointment only, spotlessly clean, socially distancing, cleaning all surfaces between customers, glasses tried on go into a tray for cleaning before going back on the shelf.

Very friendly and attentive service - and really knowledgeable on eye care and vision needs/correction. Not the cheapest - but high quality products and service...and occasionally you get some good offers on frames. Have been going back for over a decade - and am on glasses number three from Leightons. What I really appreciated was being told on more than one occasion after an eye test that my prescription had not changed and I did not need new glasses so to come back the following year for a check up. Eventually age takes its toll and I have needed new glasses - but liked that I was only recommended a change when I really needed it.

Lovely staff, always friendly and feel very welcome. Unfortunately, I have dropped to 4 stars because of the waiting time for an appointment (nearly a month) and the new optician didn't manage to solve a simple problem with my contact lenses, which I managed to get sorted elsewhere within 2 days.

1 - Really nice selection of designer glasses and sunglasses. I've had no problems but I know people who have said the eye tests may not be as good as some other places.
2 - The Ultimate Eye ???? Exam was very good, can't complain. The new blue ???????? light filter lenses are cool too and useful for people like me who stare at screens a lot.

Highly professional, as well as friendly opticians. Jay, the leading optometrist gives excellent care: takes time to understand your concerns and explain anything technical clearly in lay terms. He is genuinely interested in your wellbeing. Renee, the manager, also very caring and gives good, honest advice. I have never felt rushed and they help build your confidence in dealing with the health of your eyes. The rest of the team have also been very good to deal with. Recommended.

Leightons is a great, fashionable and reliable opticians. Having seen Jay for over 5 years at this point , I highly recommend this opticians for anyone willing to venture elsewhere or start new. They have a huge range of glasses and some more high end stuff as well. If you aren’t into the bureaucratic dealings that go down at specsavers and you’d like a more personal touch for you or your child, i highly reccomend these opticians. They can also help with Hearing and Contact Lenses

I recently had my first appointment at Leightons, which included a thorough eye examination with Gemma. She was extremely professional and informative, but also very easy to chat to and good at explaining things in layman's terms to me. I needed to update the prescription for my glasses, so then I spent time with Rennie to find a new pair of glasses.
We tried on lots of different pairs and he gave really good advice as to what suited my face shape - I have never had such a positive experience from an eye exam and glasses purchase before.
Leightons is a truly lovely business who offer excellent customer service and care, I can't recommend them enough.

I hadn't had an eye test for years, so on the off chance, popped into Leightons on my way to Waitrose.
Jay was able to fit me in pretty much straightaway and was supremely kind and reassuring, which was appreciated as I am quite a nervous patient. I am also very short-sighted and was dreading being told things had got worse but fortunately my prescription had improved very slightly. He had all the time in the world to answer my concerns and there was no pressure to buy glasses at all.
A few weeks later, I got very worried as I had some mild interference with my vision. I called Jay up and he was again very reassuring, was able to explain exactly what was going on - fortunately what i was experiencing is apparently very common.
I am extremely impressed by the service I have received and couldn't recommend Jay and his staff more. It's amazing being able to have this kind of medical service just from walking in off the street.
