At this branch I experienced almost all the problems you can experience with getting new glasses: 1. They scratched the lens of one of the two new pairs of glasses I paid for. 2. The pair I managed to receive is useless because they measured my prescription wrong and wearing the glasses is very unpleasant (and I suspect unhealthy) for my eyes. 3. The staff that does the eye tests is VERY rushed. 4. I had to wait 10 working days for my order (just to receive it wrong after all the waiting). I'm deeply dissatisfied with the MAIN service I went there for - to get glasses with which I can see better! Could not recommend less!

This has to be the worst Specsavers I've ever been to! (REGIONAL MANAGER PLEASE PAY A VIST TO THIS STORE!) The staff need proper training! Sort this mess out!!! I went into the store as wanted to get a new pair of glasses and the young woman that served me had no idea how to deal with me!?! She walked away when I explained I've had my eyes tested recently and I have my prescription paper from Specsavers in Scotland. I decided to asked a guy in the store and he sat me down to discuss the options as I wanted to get the thinnest lenses with the frames I picked. I asked about the HC1 form to help with the cost of getting new frames, however he ignored it completely and started with how much it would cost. I was told to come back the next following week as my new pair of glasses would be ready. I went back the next following week to be greeted by the same young woman the first time I went into the store. I said I was picking up my new glasses which she then said can you write my name on a piece of paper and sit down in the waiting area? 20 minutes later no one asked why I was in the waiting area and I went back to the front desk and asked what was going on, I explained the young woman that served me, NEVER done anything to inform a member of staff to serve me! Customer care is not a priority in this store, they won’t listen to you and you will be ignored! I got my glasses in the end, the person that served me could not care that the glasses didn’t fit me which I had to go to another opticians to get the frames adjusted properly!

Me and my partner booked an appointment online (with text and email reminders), but when we got to the store, were told that the system had failed and the staff member would look into it. 10 minutes later, we asked what was happening and another staff member told us we had been booked new 'walk in' appointments, despite the fact we had booked online a week earlier. We were so annoyed by this we left the store and went to nearby Boots instead. My advice, ring before you go to check they have you booked in or better still, avoid altogether!

It's all about business in here. They try to do lots of upsell. If you ignore their upsell, they will make you feel that you are not welcome in here. From optician to sells representatives everyone is trying to do lots of upsell. Glass thinner is definitely a biggest achievement in optical industry but harsh truth is It's very expensive. It's someone weekly food money. If someone says no and you keep pushing for reaching your sells target, shows how corrupted you are. I am moving to a different optician.

Workers have a slight attitude but understandable when so many children are around. I would also be moody if I saw kids every day. But still, please be kinder and more professional. Otherwise, nice glasses. Wish it had a bit more of a selection though. 3 stars

Booked an appointment online, the receptionist did not tell me the appointment did not come through so booked me as a walk in without telling me! Being there for 15 min post my booked appointment online I asked if it was going to be long and I was told by another member of staff that said there were two other people booked on my slot, when they only have one opticians! Worst service ever! Also it said it was free and and receptionist said it was £25! Not even an apology!

Let me start by saying when we first visited this branch early last year, the staff looked unhappy and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. We re-visited this store again and the atmosphere was not different to our first visit. The wife's glasses broke within a few months due to either manufacturing defect, fitting and screws being too tight or both. The Optical Assistant immediately acused us of damaging the glasses, to which we took offence since it was untrue and he had no evidence backing this claim! I asked to speak to a manager and had the unpleasant honour of speaking to The Director - Taj. He spoke in a rather condescending manner and of course repeated the OA's accusation! He then offered a discount on a new frame and when I asked how much it would cost, the reply was £30 for the frame, which is the "frame only" price BTW. So, not really a discount but an attemptto make more money from an already unhappy customer! I explained to him this wasn't a discount and asked for reassurance the frame didn't have a known manufacturing fault. He began sweating and stuttering. Anyway, we're very unpleased with the overall service we received and I guess we'll be doing business somewhere else, moving forward. Branch: SpecSavers Surrey Quays

A. Bunch of clueless.people working here. They first gave my husband the wrong prescription and then the wrong lenses. He ended up with a migraine and then did the test again. Repeat..we have been patient coming here for weeks. The asian woman at the reception on Sundays is the most irritating and arrogant. I am not even sure if they are professionally qualified to be opticians here.

Had my first order here last Saturday. Got my glasses and sunglasses in a week. I had to call up to ask whether it was ready to collect and they said it was. So maybe if you really desperately in need of your glasses, give them a ring. When I collected my glasses, a lady attended was not paying much attention. I asked whether my glasses required to be bended/adjusted behind the ears so that it sits better she said not needed. Had to come back the next day as my glasses were slipping off. Also my sunglasses, the nose pad were not even touching my nose but the lady did not even realise it. Luckily the next day when I came to get them fixed, there was this young man with glasses who was very patient and bended my glasses. However he wasn't that good at it so he asked his store manager to attend to me. Nana the store manager was very patient and gave me superb advice on the adjustment he did. Hands down! Superb service from him but hopefully there will be more consistent amongst the staff there. I mean it would be great to have more staff that are well trained as Nana. :)

The place was crowded with people and no social distancing was adhered to. The place was very busy and my son had to wait 15 minutes for his scheduled appointment and then I was told that only one of my other two children could be seen even though we had booked beforehand and confirmed our appointment twice during the day. Very unfriendly staff who said it was the optician who had asked to cancel one of the appointments. When I later asked the optician if she had had cancelled one appointment she said that is not something the opticians do, meaning the staff at front lied. They were so rude and I would not recommend this place. I'd give 5***** to the actual optician who was very professional, calm and she cleaned the station several times. She was very good with my child.

No social distancing, crowded, late with appointments and unfriendly. MANAGER SORT THIS OUT! I felt very uncomfortable with the disregard for covid safety recommendations. I left with glasses that didn't fit properly (despite 3 attempts to do so), which hadn't been cleaned before giving them to me with the advice to see how they fit without my mask, when I get home. I will not be returning - ever. I will be happy to provide all details but for brevity leave it at this.

Terribly poor customer service/communication. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses 2 weeks ago to be delivered to the Walworth Road branch and phoned up multiple times after a week had passed with no contact from either branch and was generally met with the call ending because the lines were busy. On an occasion where the phone was picked up, I was told the glasses were not being sent to the Walworth Road and instead would be ready to collect at Surrey Quays. A couple days later I phoned again and I was told that the glasses were ready to collect from Surrey Quays, so I drove to the branch with my mother — on a Thursday evening, so the closing time shown online is 7pm — at 6pm to be met with one of the staff members closing the shutter on the door. We wasted an hour of our time on travelling to Surrey Quays only to be turned away due to being mislead by their website, then was told when I arrived as the door was being closed in my face that the glasses were at the Walworth Road. Today, I phoned the Walworth Road branch and was told they don’t have the glasses there and that they were sent off from the Surrey Quays branch yesterday, and that I will have to wait another 3 or so days to receive the glasses. This is incredibly frustrating and the poor communication in combination with the length of time I’ve spent waiting for these glasses (considering the usual waiting time is about a week or so) results in my reluctance to ever buy from Specsavers again.

The assistant manager (Rhys) of the store tried his best to adjust my spectacles, and his professional service did make my glasses fit much better onto my face. I was made to feel relaxed as I was waiting. I walk past this store regularly and it is always busy and popular with local residents.

Both my friend and I had issues there, I was given completely ago g prescription and was made to feel it was my fault not there's and to give me the correct prescription even though their mistake I was told I would have to pay more money. Told them to forget it as I wanted my money back as the the mistake was not mine. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

They have a reasonable range of adults and children's glasses. The company has good deals on glasses. This store doesn't have enough staff so often you need to wait quite a while. I purchased glasses for a small child, staff weren't very experienced in dealing with little kids (note I did Not get child's eyes tested here just the prescription filled here)

Had a contact lens eye check on May 4, .paid my £25 and was told i would get a email letting me know my trial lens have arrive. Went in on June 1st to find out why i haven't received email. Well the lady at the desk said i find someone to speak to you. Then a lady came and sat me down and told me some has forgotten to order them . i was shocked. Very upset. All the manager could say very sorry very sorry. We can put a new order in today. I said why, after waiting so long for the first order that was never ordered. I got my money refunded. I will never be using Specsavers again.

We were recently on holiday from Melbourne and my wife broke her specs on the plane :/ went in to Specsavers. Lovely staff member who arranged for a new eye test within an hour. My wife felt the Optician was very thorough compared to her Optician here. Picked Frames and they had them ready by the time we got back from lunch! Really impressed and truly saved our holiday! I visited Specsavers at surrey quays for a (prescription swimming google) for my son and that was on 1/04/209,I have spoken to a young lady and she promised to call me during the week as they didn’t have the google at the time,and the price given to me was £35. However no one have called ,so I visited them after a week again 7/04/2019, and they said the price is £110,and I had to wait about 50 minutes. This isn’t the first time that I have been disappointed with Spacesaver.

My first time here and all members of staff exceeded my expectations with their care and knowledge. My budget was super limited so of course i opted for the least expensive. A pair which i really liked had been misplaced , instead of 39 it turned out to be 89 but the great staff managed to pull a few strings and offer a decent discount. A great big thank you :)
