Stopped into this location after spending time researching quality eye glass companies in London. The reviews for Leightons were great, so I decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did. The eye test I received was very thorough. I never felt rushed and all of my questions were answered. I felt very nervous about choosing my frames, but the gentleman working there made the experience great. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and he even chose my favorite frames for me. After choosing my frames, I received an ear test. The wonderful lady who gave it to me was cheerful and friendly.
To make a great experience even greater, I only had to wait for two days to get my new glasses. I’ve never had a better experience at any other eye glass company. Thank you so much to the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Leightons! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone expecting great service and high quality eye glasses.

Superb walk in service with a friendly smile. I’ve tried other more commercial high street chains but keep coming back to Leighton’s as their service is second to none. They always make sure have a good fitting frame and give you an honest opinion on what looks right for your face and style. Highly recommended.

The staff in the Leadenhall Street branch (especially Maria) I have to say are very professional, knowledgeable and helpful but are also delightful.
Proper customer care is increasingly hard to find these days, so this makes a visit to the opticians a real joy.

Highly recommended! I popped into Leightons as I had broken my sunglasses - they were charming and fixed them then and there at no charge. Exceptional friendly and prompt service. Great range of glasses and sunglasses too, with some less seen brands thrown in for good measure! Thank you again!

Highly recommended!! I had an eye test which was not rushed and all my questions were answered. Maria is more than incredible!!! She was so patient and excited to help me choose my new glasses, even when I was trying all the glasses in the shop. I also got contact lenses. I had such a great experience in here, from walking in and being welcomed by Hayley and her big smile to then having an eye test with Janisha who was just so professional. Hayley helped me with my glasses and kept in touch though the process. I have popped back in touch to have my glasses tightened and both ladies just make me feel so welcome.

I had damaged my prescription eyeglasses on a trip from Canada to London. Leighton's was the closest optician to my hotel so I dropped in there completely unannounced. The repair to the part of the frame that holds the lens in place was not trivial but the ladies at Leighton's persevered, got the job done very professionally, handed my glasses back to me and refused to accept any compensation for their work. This was a most positive experience in London for a Canadian travelling abroad. Thank you Leighton's

I only have nice words for them, they save my life!!!! I was in London for vacation two weeks ago and my glasses broke, without them I can't read a word, I came into Leightons and they fixed them without any charge, but the most important was the service received, they were charming and friendly, I felt at home!!!!. I visited the Leightons a few months ago and the service is amazing. This was my first time needing glasses and the optician really took his time to listen to the issues I have had and carry out a detailed assessment. He was also very friendly. The receptionist is also lovely, she really took her time to help me choose a frame that is right for me (and that took a while!). I have called since, as I lost the glasses I bought, and the staff went above and beyond to try and locate my previous frames (which were no longer in stock). If you are looking for a good service, there really is no place better!

Fantastic shop! I haven’t used their eye test services but will in the future. I came with my prescription and didn’t know which frames actually suit me. The lady who was helping me out was absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful. We went through dozens of frames and finally chose beautiful William Morris London ones. The lady wasn’t pushing on any particular brand or price, without her I wouldn’t cope :)
My glasses were ready 3 days later! What a service! They look awesome!

Went to get lenses put in special designer frames I had purchased and was shocked at how outrageous the pricing was. Was pressured by the sales person to purchase there and then even though I was reluctant.
Afterwards I called three other stores for a quote on getting my lenses fitted as I was still uncomfortable, and confirmed that Leightons was charging just shy of 4 times as much as the market price. So I went back and asked for a refund. I was then belittled and insulted, asked if I couldn’t afford it to embarrass me in front of the other customers, and was told that the other lense fitters were of poor quality (they were other top end companies). I asked for the refund only 4 hours after my first visit, but it has taken almost 2 months for the company to actually refund me.
If you want to pay far more than necessary and be treated like you’re a lowly peasant, this place is where you should go.

I cannot speak highly enough of the professional way I was looked after - Debbie and Maria will give you "no BS" help on choosing frames (and they are not overselling the expensive ones!) and Palna conducted the eye test in a very professional and caring way. No hesitation in recommending 100%!

Been in there today, tried on two pairs of frames but decided not to buy anything. On the way out the sales lady accused me of trying to steal the frames I tried on. Blocked the way out of the shop. Didn’t even apologize when she realized that nothing was being stolen...
Apparently if you don’t buy anything you must be stealing. Very unpleasant experience.
