Just needed new lenses (and an eye test) after breaking a frame bought from Iris 2 years ago. Very pleasant, no fuss and efficient to deal with. No problems with using a customer supplied replacement frame, nor with swapping out old lenses into another spare frame which others had said could not be done. So saved ££ and now have good quality varifocals on new prescription and spare pair of glasses on old prescription. Everyone happy!

I had a recent eye test at the Iris Optical City location on Widegate Street, and ended up needing to get my first pair of glasses. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience from start to finish!
The optometrist was super friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. The store manager (Elliott) clearly loves helping people, and made me feel like I was the only customer in what is obviously a very busy shop in the centre of the City. He spent ages walking me through all my options, gave me honest and candid suggestions and helped me find a pair of frames that fit my face and personality perfectly. I've been getting compliments ever since.
I won't be going anywhere else for eye tests and glasses in the future. Thanks again!

Went to view new frames after my partner didn't like the ones I bought elsewhere. Not only were they extremely accomodating helping me pick things which suited me but he also identified that my previous frames had the wrong size lenses in and were misshapen. He advised me to go back to the other optician, what to tell them and how to handle it which was just and amazing gesture. I took my frames back and had the correct lenses fitted and all was good. I would have never known it I had not gone into this shop. Easily star worthy even though I didn't end up buying anything

lovely little opticans tucked away offering a great selection of frames from both highend names to more robust unknown makes. Offering the traditional eye test as opposed to the computerised set up thus requiring greater skill in assessment needs. A vast array of options and a quick turnaround when ordering your optic requirements.
Very friendly staff and more than willing to help out and offer guidance weather your just buying sun glasses or full optical glasses.
In this modern era they take covid-19 safty seriously for all!

Unfortunately, before that I came here, I went to 3 optical chains and they made me 3 different prescriptions with as many pairs of glasses, all wrong for my eyesight! I'm not talking about a bit wrong, with 2 of them I couldn't see anything. I didn't know what to do, it was incredible! A nice lady advised me to try an independent optician. I booked my visit here and finally I met someone competent and professional that made me the right prescription for my glasses.

I chose Iris as they had the exact Oliver Peoples glasses I had seen online and liked, and I was due for an eye test. At the City store the test was very thorough, and Elliott helped me pick out a different Oliver Peoples style that suited my face far better than the ones I had previously liked. The glasses/frames I chose were Tom Ford, Iris are the only shop prepared to move frames from store to store without asking for a deposit! The fames are great, service very good as well. In fact very quick. Only criticism is more transparency regarding price! Apart from that all good.

I’ve been a customer for almost a decade - and still very happy with the service I receive from Iris Optical. Eye tests are thorough and professional, and the recent customer service I received when selecting some new glasses was spot on. I was not rushed, but was helped by someone who clearly knows what he’s talking about, and who guided me to choose the frames that suited me best, not the ones that were the most expensive. This was important to me as I felt I could trust the advice I was given. Highly recommended!

Great service! I was having trouble with my new glasses that I'd gotten back in the US. The eye doctor got me right in and identified two issues that were relatively easy to fix. Tony did a great job getting my new lenses quickly and didn't try to upsell me (unlike my prior provider). I only wish I was staying in London so I could continue to use them.

Amazing customer service as ever. When last in the Spitalfields branch having my prescription updated I tried on another pair of glasses. 3 months later when I could afford them I simply rang up, gave them my name and the new pair with my prescription were delivered to my house a week later. The manager even remembered what glasses I tried on! Wouldn’t go anywhere else but here.

After a visit to Mrs Kings in Borough Market to Purchase a couple of Pork Pies..We then went on to sorting out the wife's Mince pies(eyes) at Iris Optical Tower Bridge.
