It took 6 different appointments spanning over 4 months to get my child a passport. Staff are extraordinarily incompetent. For eg on one appointment was waiting and knocking on the door for a while then opened it to find the lady sleeping at her desk at 9.30am!! I was disgusted given the fact that they also finish work at 2pm!! Another time I asked what the full process for the passport was and the helpdesk said she didnt quite understand it either. The place is a bunch of "CHORIZOS ENCHUFADOS" which create nothing but distress and waste of work time for all of us

PATHETIC. WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. And you treated my wife badly. I will never visit your country again because the lack of respect and decency you have. Your website is also shocking and please STATE WHAT DOCUMENTS IS REQUIRED. Not after we have done all the work to get the documents you request a letter in spanish. PATHETIC IDIOTS

Should be 0 stars really. Firstly they never answer the phone. The website is outdated and has the wrong info. It takes about 8 weeks to get an appointment. Once there, they're rude, dont want to work and can't/won't answer basic questions. Every person seems to have their own rules so had to go back several times as their answers change and they never help if something is missing. They just make you leave and wait another 8 weeks. Overall useless people and waste of time. Its an embarrassment.

Spain is a third world country and the Spanish embassy is an example. They are inefficient and rude Don't blame the catalana wanting to be independent after what I have experienced. And I am spanish! (sadly)

Highly incompetant staff.
Please make sure you take your document locker to their adhoc requests.
On two occasions, they have asked for documents which were not on the check list.
Applying for a tourist visa is a nightmare!
Staffs are unreasonable and unhelpful.

Never answer the phone. I had an emergency and they don't pick up the phone. I also went in person to renew my daughter passport with 2 appointments they make you wait outside in the freeze cold. Then they didn't mentioned all the docs I need it so I had to lose my morning, my husband and my kids. COMPLETELY USELESS SERVICE! no wonder why Spain still in crisis!

For three days I tried to get through to the legal department which either rang forever or was engaged. In the end I got through via reception to dept and a rude lady..who did however help me when she eventually let me speak. Weird. I have yet to have the experience of going there to get a copy of my nie!
