People in the front line at the embassy are great! All are very helpful, polite and help you on your questions and queries!

Cons:
The earliest appointment for passport renewal was in 6 months! I think it’s unacceptable! Booked my appointment in July and earliest date was January! I think the Embassy could do this better.
Other tips:
If you are driving, there is street parking by the embassy which is very handy.
Lastly, I do love the license plate of the councillor’s car! BG1!

My wife had an 11:00 appointment to renew her passport and after socially distanced queuing for about an hour, finally got to go in. Once in, the process took about 15 minutes. Booked parking through Just Park online and had 15 min walk to there. If you don't want to have to go back to collect passport you will need a Royal Mail Special Delivery envelope. They advise against this and do not have any available or suggest you may need one...but I would imagine it is fine as this is what the UK passport office uses to issue it's passports. Staff were friendly and helpful there but it is almost impossible to get through on the phone.

I went there today with my family to renew our passports. The service was great as always! The people who work in the embassy are absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful! Just the kind of people who make me feel proud Bulgarian. It took us 30 mins in total to submit 4 applications! Thank you so much for the great service! Staff was rude.. Even tho on their glass it says "respect our staff" they do not respect their costumers. The lady which does pasports never smiles nor makes her costumers feel comfortable with her. I dont know if it was because i was wearing a hijab or she is just like that with everyone... I wouldnt give even one star to that..

Passport acquired in record time, applied on 3rd and received by 23rd. The embassy predstavitel - representative - at the door greeted me in Bulgarian first and then English! I was impressed as people often assume I don't speak Bulgarian, merely because I am Afro-European. Appointment for passport easy enough. Response time on email was fast. And I did not have to carry a bottle of rakaia to get this service! Blagodarya.

I had to wait a que from about 200 people. Appointment for 9:30 don't mean nothing. You have to wait until you get a sun stroke. No toilets, you have to per on the streets, and make sure no one to see you.

Awful experience! Non existing customer service. Spent hours trying to get through the embassy this afternoon, the line is going through but no one is there to answer it. I called 71 times.
My emails are not being answered. My son’s birth registration was supposed to take 3 months, 4 months on - they can’t even give me an update, all I got from them is check again in 2-3 weeks! Appalling!

My 6 month old baby has more sense than the people who are answering the phone.
After 50 attempts of calling and trying to connect with someone on the phone I can't even get a proper answer when I've been asking the same question at least 3 times.
Would suggest to improve the phone services!
