Everything was seamless from beginning (Internet application) to the end on the two occasions I went there; first time 2019 for mine & 2021 for my son's. My son's passport came a week earlier than expected. I want to specially commend the gentleman who was taking the biometrics on 8/4/21 morning. Sorry I didn't get his name (he was the only one that morning). He's an asset to the place!! Very patient, polite & professional!! He did my biometrics in 2019 too. I didn't give 5* because on the second occasion, the waiting was too long, 2 hours, in COVID-19 era, too many people in the waiting area & only one counter working for all services. No hand sanitiser on site, the only one at the door was empty!

Honestly. Honestly I didn't know what to expect as my friends in Germany and Canada say the High commission there are horrendous so I didnt know what to expect from the UK one but honestly I am impressed. I came down today and was meet by a very gentle guy about 5'8 who uses the Mic like a Ghanaian gospel singer. I later was called to booth 7 at the back and was seen by a very interesting St.Augustines old boy it was all in all a good service and I appreciate it. Btw why do you guys sell Palm kennel in the High commission. ????????????

I was at the embassy today, 19/01/2021. Funny enough, that was my first time in almost 20 years. The experience I had was distasteful, and a very low blow. I was left feeling not wanting to be a Ghanaian again, but unfortunately you can not choose where you was born!! The guy in BOOTH 5 was exceptionally very helpful, but the rest of the experience was not so good. May God help them all. ???????????????????????????????????????? ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️

I was told to come and get my visa a day after I travel (which makes no sense) on three separate occasions even though I submitted the application more than 2 weeks. The staffs are very rude and unsympathetic. They leave you with no choice but to pay a extra £40 to get your visa on time even though they told you it’ll be done on time.

I have been there twice or more anyway both were superb, I can understand difference opinion and can be opposite to mine but, they are really helpful. the Service was absolutely good and Covid-19 protocols were put in place ,hand sanitizers can be seen everywhere

Absolutely terrible staff, rude and getting paid for no work done. Even in the UK this poorest service under Akuffo Addo government acts as if they are still in Ghana. But even service of the high commission in Ghana is better

The people working in the consular section are not fit for any purpose in fact they are not fit to even run a public lavatory. Bunch of no hoppers managing consular affairs.

I braced myself after reading the reviews, thankfully I didn't have the same experience. Initially, I used the online chat service to answer some questions and 'Abby' was great and efficient. I also sent in some emails which were answered within minutes :). Excellent service. My appointment was scheduled for 9.30am - 10.30am and I arrived at 9.10am - they have a nice warm waiting area that was open when I arrived. I was seen and out by 10.33am!!! :). The staff were nice and pleasant to me. When I returned to collect, a few days later I was in and out in 5 minutes! No issues :)

Have to agree with many of the other comments on here... slow service is the offer of the day here. Why on earth they give you an appointment slot I don't know as it means nothing. My slot was 11.30am-12.30pm yet I wasn't seen for 3 hours! Very poor service.

Service has improved considerably compared to the last couple of times, probably because I used their postal service in this instance. Got my visa's and accompanying doc in three weeks. I've previously visited the Highgate branch on numerous occasions and sometimes the queuing system does not work well (collecting numerous tickets for different queues) and may need to simplified. Continue to improve on the customer service, makes all the difference.

I never write reviews, due to covid 19 am bored ???? when I read these reviews I was shocked, maybe some of these bad reviews were due to rude customers ????????‍♀️ I have applied for GH visa many times & each time they were very helpful, polite and really friendly when I went to collect my visa, yes xmas times they are very busy & waiting time may drag a lil but that's like any where you go around xmas is busy. Appart from that it was a pleasure applying & visiting Ghana every time & the ghanian people are really pleasant people in general ????

Great WiFi is the one plus and you need it. It's always ridiculously hot in there and the waiting times range from anything from an hour to 4+. When you are finally seen, it's a mixed bag. Some of those behind the counter are very pleasant although others are rude and unhelpful. Cost of visas are ludicrous.

Many thanks to all the staff there they work really hard. They are very polite and very understanding the only struggle is that of a long queue without enough staff to to make process quicker. Overall they are very nice people.

If you're reading the Google reviews below you are very likely to expect the worst of attending the Commission, but fear not! Personally, attending to collect four visas, wasn't that bad. Hot, cramped and slow, yes. Ignore the time you have been given, just go as early as you can and collect a ticket. It took me 2 hours to queue, and then 15mins to process the documents. I was told I needed to collect the Visas, but insisted I was told I could collect and she agreed. If you leave it too late as we did, the massive fee of £100 per person is hard to swallow, still, maybe in some mysterious way it will be worth it?!

Visa application - allow 2 hours wait time, the Wi-fi is flakey, reception even more flakey Car parking very limited - there’s 2 hours max parking available within short walk costing £8.20. It’s generally very busy and counter staff do their best to churn as many people as possible. Upon picking up visa, I had mine within 5 mins although on form it says could take up to 2 hours

The visa process is not too bad online but the other issues are don't miss your appointment and also make sure you print out every ask documemts before you proceed to the Embassy. Make sure who ever is inviting you from other end email you the invite or scan it so it saves you time otherwise happy days!!!

Slow service. Dont waste your time, go somewhere else for your holiday. The incompetence and ignorance of the staff is completely unbelievable on top of the disrespect from the hard of hearing staff the waiting waiting time is completely appalling. Instead of developing its building, they should develop the useless system that they use to operate in that place. God bless thanks for the word so sweet.

The only reason I gave this one star was because we eventually succeeded in getting a visa for my son. Otherwise I would’ve given them zero stars. What an appalling service! Most disagreeable staff, very rude, obstinate, they go out of their way to be unhelpful. One was actually quite hostile and threatening. I do not exaggerate. The system for obtaining visas at the Ghanaian high commission in Highgate needs substantial alteration. The staff need to be retrained. The waiting time is absolutely unacceptable and counter service awful. The information provided on the website is misleading incomplete and there is no acknowledgement of this or recourse to complain or change procedures. As a result people are turned away unnecessarily, unfairly, with complete disregard and lack of consideration. My son is visiting Ghana to volunteer his help at a primary school. We are doing a good thing and were initially excited about the trip. After our first encounter with Ghanaian representatives at the high commission I feel I do not wish to visit this country in the future. The experience was terrible, distressful, entirely unnecessary and absolutely inexcusable.

Not bad. The Visa process is slow but at least they provide seating in a warm, comfortable environment. Whatever you do COME PREPARED. If you have incorrect documents, you will be turned away. Try not to leave your application until the last moment. Ideally, give yourself a minimum of 3 weeks. As for The actual Visa process? They provide an online platform which although clear, doesn't speed up the process. In fact having the online process only succeeds in making the whole application more confusing.

My last time i went to renew my passport instead of 5 they give me four years and i didn't notice it till the time it was about to expire i had a look and I sow it was wrong. Soi will advice you to double check before you come out .

Be ready to wait hours just for your ticket number to be called and when you get called they have the worst customer service. The passport even got lost and just to collect it back it takes hours. Apply for visa by post, it's not worth it. Oh and there's no reception Update: the lost passport was never returned but it's been cancelled. Ridiculous.

Absolute nonsense,when will the Africa learn.When is Ghana embassy u.k going to sit-up and respond to queries have been calling the embassy for 7days now about my Passport application and can’t get through to anyone,what nonsense is that they better close it if they are not willing to work and respond to queries.Africa we never learn they are here in Europe with their lazy attitudes from Ghana.Mr Ambassador sit up and sort the embassy out.

My appointment was at 12h30, but came in at 11am. Was out in 90mins. Not too bad really, just be ready with all your papers. It could have gone faster if they weren’t too picky with a minor error on my application. Which had to be amended online and the lady attending in the counter disappeared for about 20 mins. There were no reasons whatsoever, she came back, and processed my forms. Be patient and be early!
