During the covid-19 I highly recommend avoiding this place at all cost!!! So it all started in November when I saw that KLM (airline) started organizing flight to Jakarta again. I decided to ask my girlfriend (who lives in Jakarta, Indonesia) to call the airport and see if visa on arrival is available. The airport answered a solid no, so I started to search for other ways to get a visa for December. Many forums brought me to two places, Indonesian Embassy and The Immigration Office in Indonesia. At first, my girlfriend tried to apply for my eVisa as a sponsor. Logging on in the morning (at the time the office opens), it always said the daily visa quota was reached in the morning! One day my girlfriend tried to open the Immigration Office Website and the website was down (not showing up at all). She tried calling them for 2 weeks (which is approaching December now). No one ever answered the phone! Then on the 3rd of December the website finally worked and she could apply for my visa. For the eVisa, you need a proof of address and a proof of leaving the country. So naturally I bought the tickets and booked the apartment to send her the proof. Once again the website was unavailable. So in panic, I sent an email to the Indonesian embassy explaining "the Immigrasi Office is not working, I need a help from the embassy." I also tried calling them but the automatic robot said to visit the website if you want to apply for visa (the recorded voice message did not say ANYTHING about visa NOT AVAILABLE). So full of hope, I sent them multiple emails. The embassy replied a "copy and paste email" suggesting to visit the Immigrasi Office. From the email, I understood that I should contact the Immigrasi Office for a visa but it is not mandatory. For me it looked like an option that could work but would not have to. So I entered the Indonesian embassy to apply for a visa. There was another massive document suggesting to apply for an eVisa through the immigrasi office. I said okay, but I want to apply for visa in the embassy. So I press okay, and the website tell me to register for a visa. So I register, everything looks fine. Then I got an email (below in the posted picture) and it clearly said Congratulations!!! I was all happy and excited so I read the next step. "Please send the following documents". So I buy a massive envelope for my passport and all my documents, I also printed out my application. My envelope arrived to them today. All my documents provided were correct. During my university laboratory I get a call from the embassy saying that they cannot process visa. After my university class I called the embassy back and argued with a lady for 15 minutes. I clearly told her that their website is misleading and there is a lot of misinformation. In my opinion, if the embassy cannot process visas. THEN THEY SHOULD DELETE THE VISA SECTION! Why was the visa registration section available for me? This was not a one day bug, that section is available all the time. So I told the lady the section should not be there. She kept repeating the same phrase that the embassy cannot process the visa. I know now that the embassy cannot process visas, but why is the section still up and running on the website and it looks as if it is working? Second image clearly shows that there is some type of visa application in process. The tourist visa section was also fully working and it allowed me to select it on the website? Indonesia really hates foreigners. They don't care about you! I even asked, okay you got my documents, could you maybe try to somehow help me? "no no sir". Aggghhh. The website should get an update now! Delete the visa registration section now. If this section is still available by next week and it still accept visa applications. I will contact my lawyer and talk about customer misleading. The embassy only sent confusing emails saying that I should contact the immigration office. BUT they never told me i cannot apply for a visa through them. All the notification to me, only looked like gentle suggestions.

I requested an explanatory letter from the Embassy for my return to Indonesia. The service was very quick. After submitting my application it took only about ten minutes to get a confirmation of the accomplishment of the process. So delighted to see this high quality service. Keep up the good works.

Fantastic service from friendly embassy staff. Went in without appointment as had trouble with online system - they saw me, completed my application and took payment and original telex saying it could be up to 3 days to wait for VISA (says 3-5 online). But I recieved confirmation email the same afternoon to say VISA was ready for collection the next day. Highly efficient and somewhat unexpected but a huge relief given other uncertainties travelling with Covid.

Excellent service from the Consular Section. Made an appointment by email and submitted the paperwork/payment on a Friday which took less than five minutes. Received an email the following day (Saturday) confirming that the visa had been issued, then picked it up with no delay on the Monday. Great work.

my experience with the Indonesian Embassy in London has been a pleasant one . after receiving my Telex from immigration in Jakarta through my local Agent , i made contact via phone to the London embassy . they explained all i needed to do and i applied for my c317 visa and made appointment via email . i arrived 1 hour early for the appointment and they still see me within 5 minutes of arrival . all was in order thanks to the email previously explaining the paper work i would need to bring . this was on the Monday . received passport by post on the Thursday . all has been excellent and thanks . I will now travel to Bali on 29th November to be reunited with my wife and daughter . I have not been back since March .

Despite the Covid restrictions and reduced staff numbers, I was very well looked after by the Embassy’s caring and helpful personnel. It might be useful for those receiving their Visas by post, to know in advance, that due Covid, there is only one postal collection per week from the Embassy? We were told that extending our nephew’s Indonesian passport can only be done when their passports have less than 6 months of validity. Since the passports will expire in March 2021, we waited until the beginning of October 2020 to make appointments only to find out that the next available appointment to extend passports is in February 2021, FIVE MONTHS AWAY. We then called the Embassy as we have urgent family reason to go to Singapore this December, but was told there was nothing they could do to move the appointment earlier. Very disappointing!

An absolutely fabulous service. As usual, the Indonesian are a delight!! Also very professional indeed and the speed in which my KITAS was issued I have to say was shocking. Fast response in less than a day.

FIRST CLASS SERVICE, QUICK RETURN. Have applied for many visas over the years but my experience with London has been excellent. Kept informed every step of the way from receipt of documentation to the issue of the visa. Only problem I had was that I live in Ireland so had to ask relatives in the UK to buy me a postal order for payment. Would have been even better if I could have paid by direct bank transfer or debit/credit card but they don't accept any of these which is a drawback.

I found the embassy staff really professional. They were very responsive to my queries and helping over the phone and emails as well. The reception staff at the embassy in London is also very professional, caring and polite. I'm really happy that I'm going to Bali with a good start. I would like to make a request to the Government of Indonesia, Please include Pakistan in "Visa on arrival" countries. There are so many Pakistani tourists who want to visit Bali. But because of the hassle of getting documents ready, applying and waiting for the visa, not many people could make their mind to visit beautiful Bali.

I have only had any dealings with the Embassy via online, telephone, or postal mail. Specifically Consular Service's Visa Section. I have actually found all my own experience interactions to of been of a very satisfactory and efficient standard. My only critiques of Consular Services relate to their online services - where the online UI in place at the time of this being written, is very much in need of further ongoing development.

It takes long to have a visa done. And whenever you try to contact them either phone or email you get the security desk or a response several days later....

The consular space was built from shell and core. Designed and decorated with Indonesian fabrics and motifs represents openness and efficiency. Under the administration of H.E. Ambassador Dr Rizal Sukma, Consular services grew beyond expectancy. Led by Pak Gulfan Afero, the team (Bu Anisa, Pak Echa, Bu Alty, Pak Adi, Pak Mikki, Pak Andy, Bu Sutji) delivered fast and efficient services. The consular online services also outlined with the clean designs that easily draw attention and made easy to browse the application
