Excellent service, staff are really helpful and supportive. You just need to ensure carrying right documents. Even they have provided a photocopy machine for free incase you need. Thank you to all staff for your kind service.

Could you please update the website all the information, lots of people are suffering with the all applications. There is not enough information on website. No communication of acknowledgement. No one getting mails from your side of confirming appointments. People are confusing what documents will be needed. The appointments are not available properly. At the office lot of people are waiting for hours with the kids and old people and in the end rejecting the application for missing the appointment letter. Before giving the ticket the person is not checking whether they got the appointment or not. There is no priority for kids with parents, old people no facility for push chairs of disable people. Staff looks like helping for people fair enough but that's not enough, people time is getting waste because of this miscommunication and no proper information. Management should give a priority for the people rather than kept waiting. Thank you.

Heartiest congratulations to the Indian High Commission in London for the massive change and smooth services offered, making us feel comfortable, giving the feeling of a home away from home. I personally was stunned by the warm and welcoming staff , trying it's best to sort out issuing the visa to my friend to visit India in just a day, when her father passed away! All thanks to the Minister of co ordination, never before the Indian community has come together in such a massive way as now , with a solid representation of each state with united participation in any event - . The HCI is now easily accessible and always very encouraging in pushing the diaspora to build a strong representation of motherland in UK and a greater contribution towards it!! Thanks for all the support which gives us the feeling of confidence , that there is someone to listen.

I tried to call high commission of India on the number provided. But no response. Called the number several times for a few weeks! The phone kept ringing for hours but no response at all. I sent my family members passport for renewal in October but haven't heard from them. Not getting response from the emails either.

I had submitted my passport for renewal and had not received it since more than a month. So I contacted the Indian High Commission to inquire. The wait time was very less without any fussy menu options after which I was connected to this gentleman in Public Response Unit. He patiently listened to my queries and the urgency of my situation and helped me out with all the relevant information promptly. No unnecessary holds, no pre-phrased diplomatic responses, but only quick honest information regarding my application. He also made sure my urgency was noted by the passport department. I would say exceptional service and kudos to the quality and work ethic of the team at high commission of India in London. Thanks a lot!

I've just made contact with the high commission and spoke to a man on the phone who was really helpful. A lot of the guidance online still refers to visas and rules that have been put on hold. We've been able to apply for Indian visas very easily in the past but it's so confusing right now. This person from the public response unit was able to guide us through the right procedure and application process. He was very polite and patient and answered all my queries.

No appointments available for passport renewal for more than 4 months now, no status on website or any notice of when the service will begin, passport already expired now since the application was made a couple of month ago. I know this Covid situation but everyone else are working, so why can't Indian government help their citizens with re-opening of services, really disappointing!!!

Pathetic service as you would expect from any Indian government's office. It has been 2 months i am trying to book my appointment for the renewal of my Indian passport, there is no appointment available. At least add a headline on your website about when there will be any appointment available. Every country is trying to make their services better for their citizens but our Indian govt is making it harder for people. Ye banyenge is desh ko "Vishva Guru".

Just spoke to a gentleman at the public response unit, extremely professional, courteous and helped with an emergency visa. Fantastic in every way. Better response than all the large British consumer companies. They make one proud to be of Indian origin.

I called the Public Response Unit and they were very helpful, no unnecessary bureaucracy and wastage of time. They were gracious also in the information they didn't have and more polite and friendly than any call you're going to get on, of this nature. Reach out if you need assistance! You won't regret it

No communication by emails, No reopening dates. today is 23rdFeb and the website says consular services suspended till 20th Feb 2021 . No updates or anything. Nice and slow pace , Made in India. Just a polite suggestion for the High commission - Please put your time in dealing with difficulties for real people rather that writing fake 5 * reviews on google maps.

My personal experience been really good but at the same time noticed that not everyone been treated same. I have been lucky to be served by a nice lady, I didn't catch her name but she wear glasses. I made a mistake in copying passport page but she made a copy herself on her desk printer. At the same time I noticed people were asked to go out and bring copy on other counters. There is a common copier machine placed in waiting area but it is out of order. I wish it get fixed soon and everyone treated with kindness. Jai Hind!

Consular services are open only with appointments. The staff is helpful. You need to get you bag scanned and keep in the closet as it is not allowed inside. So take only important things. All the fees are taken in cash only, so remember to take cash for your appointment.

Absolutely no communication. It took me from November til January to get in touch with someone over what was an emergency situation. It is now nearly March and I am still waiting for my documents. Staff are extremely rude, unorganised and like to fob people off. They dont answer the phone, when you visit in person they ask you to leave as there is no one available from the department and never answer emails. The sheer laziness and incompetency is beyond belief!

My personal experience seems that it's a biased service. If you try and book appointment online for passport surrender and OCI there are no slots available. Been trying 2 weeks now checking on daily basis and the slots are blocked even without a chance to look for any. On other hand you look for miscellaneous services or Visa there are plenty. Why can't those just be released for above services ? Servers are painfully slow and website keeps crashing. Called HCI and was on hold for 90 minutes. Emailed query with no response at all. Is that you call helping ? Totally frustrating and ridiculous treatment from a Government body who is supposed to be helping.

Easy to find parking at the meters. £4.95 for an hour. The entrance is across the road from The Waldorf Hotel. There is a flight of steps to go down before you reach the entrance of the Indian High Commission. Well organised inside, great, helpful staff. Appointment only system.
