Been waiting over 9 days for my money that was set aside from a transaction that was made that should of went back into my account between 5-10 working days. The people on the chat have no clue keep saying different things. Used to be a big fan of this bank but now I’m disappointed at the fact I have to put up a dispute and still wait for My money to show back into my balance. Holding onto £289 I’m a single mother of two and my current balance is 3pound yet they can see that and are still not speeding up the process of putting my money into my account. Absolutely disgraceful

I moved my current account to Monzo last year. They clearly have a problem with cheques. You post them freepost, and then anything can happen? You can chase them for the payment and a member of staff will tell you it's fine. Don't be fooled. They have no idea what's going on? I've sent cheques off and some clear, some don't? And none knows why? The app is decent. But that's really the minimum expectation for a bank. They don't have the customer support to service any questions. If you need help they'll answer the Chat, and someone will get back to you in about a week with specifics. It's chaos!

Best bank in the world. I was with First Direct who were very good, until I switched to Monzo who are on a different level. I get instant notifications when any money comes in or goes out of the account, this also helps with fraud, so if some did clone my card I will find out straight away when they use it and I can freeze my card from the app. They have pots, loans, switch energy company and many more features. During these trying times I have seen many people standing in long queues outside the traditional banks, when I can do all my banking from my smart phone and they have also now introduced business banking which I am sure will be great also.

I’ve had a very bad experience with monzo. After using them for several months without issue on the 12th of September 2020 I log in to see my accounts been closed! After calling customer services I was fobbed off with a lie to go to the online chat and they can’t tell me why I’m blocked. So after passing all the security questions they’re trying to tell me they can’t give access to my own personal data. To rub salt into the wound I can’t retrieve my funds for two to four weeks. The customer service is abysmal. I advise anyone considering opening a monzo not to!

thath bank has closed my bank account without ask or tell me why, after thath the Monzo bank has required an payment I made to enforcement trafic, after take money enforcement charged my because thath and I had lose my money and theys contact number dosent work and app doesn't open to me login any more. Literally I was stoled.

Best bank ever! Been travelling in over 28 countries with this beautiful card. Never had an issue fast customer support and really helpful. Helped me with every dispute. If u see bad reviews these are from scammers. Monzo is simply the best.

Created an account but moved houses. Now can’t get a card sent to my new address and they won’t change my address for me. Even with 3 phone calls and multiple emails. I have literally been told by the customer support that there is no way I can access my account and there is nothing they can do about it. Completely useless.

I have been using Monzo for just over 18 months now and have loved every second of it and now after my partner and I recently completing on our first home together we've set up a Joint Account which too is working brilliantly. Payments in/out of the account are instant and you're notified straight away of any money movements through notification to your phone which is great for fraud prevention (and to see what the Mrs has bought in John Lewis!). At this moment in time we'll for sure continue to use Monzo for all of our finances going forward.

Absolutely horrific. Your money is not safe with this lot. Their security systems get hacked with all your personal details, then your money gets taken. Very little compensation if any will be provided, even if you aren’t at fault. Do yourself, and your finances a favour and don’t bother working with this company.

Hi they have just closed my monzo account without giving me any reason I had the account opened for some time now I never used it until recently I transferred £500 into the account and then I used the account to transfer £20 to a friend of mine 2 Days Later my account was closed buy monzo and the say it's going to take 2 to 4 weeks to transfer the money into an account I have given them as they requested from what I have read on the internet it looks like thousands of people had their account's closed without giving them a reason

A fabulous bank, with the best app around, hands down. Also remarkably quick assistance online or on the phone. Savings pots etc, sharing bills, transferring money all a complete doddle. Found it so transparent and simple. Great knowing where all my money and spending is too. Especially when I have been travelling overseas. Super generous policies on direct debits and foreign cash transactions.

I’d never heard of Monzo before getting a job in the city. Everyone in my office had one to split bills, send money for lunch ect. Couldn’t really understand what the fuss was about but 3 years later, this is my main bank account. Excellent app and customer service.

I opened a Monzo account 10 months ago and have never had a problem. The app is intuitive and informative and has helped me curb my spending in some areas using the budget tools. I also find saving money much easier with the Monzo app using the Pots feature. I only use it for as my personal spending account, not my main account but I think that will change soon.

A friend of mine had money fraudulently taken from his Monzo account. At first, Monzo refunded it. Then, they took the money back again, despite proof that the money had been taken fraudulently. This pushed him overdrawn, and to add insult to injury, they charged him through the nose for the overdraft. Dreadful company. I will now be closing my account too because of the dreadful way they treated him. Avoid.

I used to love monzo, very unhappy with them at this time as I’ve waited days for my money that was set aside to come back into my account. After talking to a few unhelpful people on the chat to get told I could have to wait longer. Very disappointed.

I’ve tried to open an account it’s been over a month. Status keeps saying verifying your details, I’ve tried to call but I can never get through after five minutes the line cuts off. I sent numerous emails, all I get is a acknowledgment nothing else. Customer service is absolutely appalling and I’m moving on.

I had dispute from monzo since May I've bought electric shaver from scams website wich I don't know. I've used my monzo master with my money. The parcel didn't arrive for a month start be worried, I've contacted the SELLER but it says don't worry is on his way your parcel you'll receive soon, I give it 1 week later I've contacted monzo team. And provide the conversation. 1 of the agent said we need to flow policies, give it 14 days. To open dispute. After 14 days I've bring the case with 2 agent to explain its been 14 days. Then the advocate open my case for 44 days. After sending all the proof I haven receive it. 50 days later I've contacted them. To tell them where I'm standing 1 of advocate told me that you have to wait 15 days!??. Then I've said how long to take sort out my case? He said we waiting for mastercard to reply for your case, after all!!! They send me today we can't provide you any refund because the seller rejected the refund?! I suggest every costumers beware on the new banks as they called them self as mastercard company!? And they can't help costumers buying with they own money!

I've been with Monzo since way back in the pre-paid, beta stages and I can honestly say I've never experienced any problems whatsoever. As soon as I was able to switch, Monzo became my default bank account and I've never looked back. The app is super convenient and the guys at Monzo are constantly introducing new features that are genuinely useful, money management tools both for day to day banking and long term goals. Customer service are fast, friendly and helpful so I'm another that doesn't understand the one star ratings.

Looked to apply for an account with Monza and hit a brick wall straight away because of their ludicrous use of email to verify an account...I mean yes it's a mobile app I get that but surely a mobile app would use text verification to your mobile wouldn't it? nope not Monza they insist on using email verification so their out for me because guess what? I use my mobile phone for calls and texts and my PC for emails probably like a lot of businesses but you can't get a business account without opening a personal account so looks like I won't be using Monzo for my business....seriously Monzo...a mobile app for banking that doesn't use a mobile text verification system? Get a grip and get a text verification system and IMO looking at your features which I really liked you'll get yourselves a lot more business customers as well.
