The best bank and definitely the best branch ever, thanks to Nadya and Tej who help us when we were more vulnerable. They took us through the process projecting confident on us, being always proactive and professional. Thank you to the fraud team as well to support us in resolving our situation. Marta & Cesar.

This was my first time visit to this branch and it was quite busy but the service was great. I was having issues with my online banking as it wasn’t allowing to login in so Manita helped me and reset the whole login. Thank you to Manita for helping me!

Huge thank you to Louisa and Jake! I had two bags full of loose Chang which I’ve been meaning to get rid of. They saw me struggling to count it all in store and came over to help. Very much appreciated!

Service 5 *. Although I closed my account with HSBC in 2018, I went to this brunch today to ask if it was possible to give me 2 years of bank statements because I urgently needed this for proof of address, which they did without any problem. Congratulations HSBC for the quality of your staff.

Super nice and professional service! That was my first time to make a bank account in London and I was so nervous. But the staffs are very friendly and kind, so I had a very nice bank account opening experience there.

Definitely best banking experience i have ever had in my life from an excellent and super helpful person whose name is "Manita". She certainly needs a promotion and a raise because she is so capable of telling us the terms with most basic examples. She is also very patient and she has a strong quick grasps on various subjects. Manita is the reason why i would pick HSBC banks over others. Friendly support, quick learner, patient and high skill set of multitasking without errors

Great customer service from Vanessa. Opening a bank account was rather easy with her, offering a charming smile and guiding me through all the steps. This is exactly what proper customer experience is. She was simply superb. If only all bankers were like her!

What a poor service. This branch is too small, not enough staff, useless mortgage advisers service. Today, once again, after 15 minutes to make a simple question, I had to leave. Just one person to take care of a massive queue of people. When my turn came, she disappeared. I Had to return to office with no answers and let me to phone calls again. How can a Bank like HSBC do this service?

So far I have been quite impressed with their professionalism and good communication. I opened an account them and they were very clear and helpful about what documentation I needed. The account opening process was very thorough and I received all the information I needed and was given plenty of support.

Went into this branch to pay in a cheque, which was dealt with by a member of staff as the queue was out the door. Two days later, I’m having to go back to the bank because the cheque has not been credited to my account and has gone missing! Called Customer Service who are unable to put me through to the branch because they’re not answering their phones! Shockingly bad!

Very efficient staff. I was passed on to multiple staff members to complete my banking procedure, and the transition between staff members were really smooth. All staff were friendly and nice. Most importantly, efficient and quick! Good job!

Rude front staff and absurd queuing procedure. I didn't know what queue to stand in so wanted to ask the member of staff next to the entrance where to go. Before even giving me a chance to speak to her she went "Excuse me, you need to stand in the queue there" in a harsh tone without even given me a chance to say why I was there and kept on interrupting me and trying to just refer me to the queue (without even knowing why I was there). Rude and unhelpful. If you're trying to decrease the number of customers at this branch through bad customer service then congratulations, you've been successful.

I use HSBC @ London Bridge for work purposes. Although it's changed now I remember having to go upstairs at the back via the small lift for the business banking counter. I also remember Sally being on the 1st desk and was always friendly. I went into the bank last week and she now greets people and I said there was a review of her and she didn't even know. So here it is HSBC if someone leaves positive reviews of your staff you should tell them

If you are lucky enough to get Sally - she is an asset to that branch, super helpful, calm, polite and efficient. Her colleagues could learn a thing or two from her approach. Sally was patient and found a way to get through a complex process with humanity and humour. Thank you!

The two women who helped me out today (03/02) on the main floor were fantastic. So kind, so helpful, made an arduous trip a genuinely pleasant experience. Hope their manager sees this!

I'd give them 11 out of 10, from the moment I walked in I was made to feel welcome, all the staff went out of their way to not only to listen to my needs but then proceeded to give me exactly what I needed, Bilail and Olivia were extremely patient and helpful in setting up my account,so much better after my experience at Barclays across the street from them.

I needed help with an unusual situation to open an account (just moved here and do not have a permanent address yet) and the customer service representative kept interrupting my questions me to give me a pre-canned speech with information that wasn't what I needed. She also seemed eager to get rid of me and get to the following customer in line. I had to insist a lot until she listened and told me what paperwork I already needed (but I ended up opening an account in another bank with a better service)

Take your banking elsewhere. Absurd queuing procedure in the front entry to speak with somebody. Had an experience where a fellow patron spend over 5 minutes directly insulting me and cursing at me and the employees did not address - despite being asked. Opened an account at the beginning of February, over a month later and I still do not have a PIN number due to the inability to get it to the right address.

I've been using HSBC for almost a year now and this was the worst experience I've has yet. I went in there to ask for a telephone security code as I had forgotten mine and the guy who greeted me almost forced me to dial the Internet and Telephone Banking as he didn't want to listen to me about my situation. I had to wait and go talk with another lady, she helped me right away.

I'm a business banking customer and found that there has been hidden charges on currency accounts I hold which has been very disappointing. I also had to request a review of my account with my bank manager after 4 year (no one contacted me), after waiting 2.5 weeks I found the meeting to be extremely unhelpful. I knew more about my account and the fees than he did. Everytime I phone up the customer support there is at least a 10 minutes wait. Basically, really unimpressed. The only helpful thing is the staff welcoming people at the front door.

HSBC are just a terrible bank from start to finish. I dropped them on my personal account a few years back and will be doing the same with my business account. There really is not a single positive thing I can say about them, banking online is dreadful, banking in branch is awful and the mobile app is even worse.

ATROCIOUS BANK I use other Banks for my businesses and this one is the Worst. They do not keep their appointments nor do they notify you or even bother following up. Obviously they are just blowing you off especially if you have not used your account for a while and need to withdraw some Partial emergency money. My mother is 90 yrs old ill and incapacitated and has had Over £20000 in the Bank for many years without getting any Interest My father Past and left as far as we can make out over £50000 at first I was told that the two accounts were now in my mothers name. I Said that was incorrect as I have paperwork going back over 10 yrs and than I was told I was Right . and after I contacted them Twice and they agreed to come to update my Moms Finances and make Funds available to her They never bothered contacting us again B U T Sent us a letter stating that as she had not used her Account for a while and they are going to use it for Donation purposes .???? W T F I am going to go to the various Media. Papers TV Facebook the Local Rags and create a scene at their Bank or banks starting Monday 9 . Be Aware of this Banks Procedures

************** INCREDIBLY TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM HSBC *************** We live in US, came to London for vacation. We brought some money including some coins we had at home to use. Some of the coins are no longer in circulation, so we were advised to go to a bank to exchange for the new ones. We went to this HSBC branch located at London Bridge, in front of the Borough Market. The reason for picking HSBC was since we used to have accounts with them and they are also located in US and Hong Kong. We were stopped at the lobby by a female worker, she asked whether we are HSBC customer, we told her that we are not at this time. She told us that HSBC will not exchange those coin for us. WHAT??? We told her that we are visitor visiting in London, we need to have those coins replaced with the current currency. She told me to go to a Western Union to do so. On the way out, we saw a NatWest Bank across the street which we are not familiar with, we though to try it again. This time, a female worker name Gloria, very pleasantly helped us sort the coins, counted in front of us and gave us the correct currency within a couple of minutes. What a difference in service! We travel a lot and we have been using a a lot of banks worldwide, we have never been treated like this. From now on, We would not patronize HSBC ever again. Bad service..

Really obnoxious and rude customer service at this branch. I find it very disappointing when a bank which has strong roots in Asia (Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, etc) can be so insensitive when dealing with customer enquiries. The impression from recent experience visiting this branch is because you look Chinese you are foreigner and treated like you cannot speak or understand English. I am not going to say the person at the front office is racist but she could do a lot to improve the way she deals with walk in customers requesting simple assistance. Maybe HSBC should change it description to the "world's worst local bank".
