Very strange experience with this bank. Opened a 1 year saver and specified the amount I would pay in. Account was opened and paperwork received clearly stated that the amount I said would be paid in must be transferred in one transaction and must be the exact amount I had originally stated.. My bank would not allow such a sum to be transferred in one hit so i phoned Tandem. They said you can pay in anything above £1k and the banks paperwork was wrong. When I queried further they simply hung up. After reading some of the other reviews I think I`ll take a lower interest rate somewhere else :-)

Tried opening an account today, it got stuck mid process and I received a message stating I'd be notified when it was done...Still waiting. Tried a second time and got a message saying "oops something went wrong and engineers have been alerted". This has not inspired much confidence and after reading the reviews, I'll give this bank a miss for now.

I was an early adopter of the credit card. Initially a wonderful card. I even encouraged friends to sign up. Then they decided to add a £5.99pm charge to the card. Still I hung on, partly through not wanting to set up a new account somewhere else. Now they have decided to ditch the credit card product all together. Oh well.

Just an absolute shambles, I have had more issues with Tandem than every other bank combined. They are just utterly clueless, you have to chase them for everything, and they constantly make mistakes. They have just charged a credit card I closed 2 months ago with no explanation and chat support have been totally useless. Avoid, they don’t do anything the old banks do and have rubbish support as well.

Just tried opened a 1yr fixed saver with them, they text me the account No and sort code to deposit my money, said that all the money had to be sent in one transaction, I ignored this and sent £10 to test it, nothing appeared on the app, when questioned they said they couldn't see the £10 I'd deposited. Glad I didn't send them the full amount obviously, not saying they are dishonest but definitely incompetent and inept, closed the account and on to the next bank, cheers Tandem x

Absolute shower of #### , they've recently upgraded the app but they can't update my mobile number and don't know when they will be able to , took 4 days and endless phone calls to get a withdrawal into my account. Tonight had enough, closed the account.

Used to love this card and used it daily the cash back was a great bonus and used to get free currency when travelling, but being charged a new monthly fee will now stop me using the card, Need to spend a load to make £5.99 cash back. There app on the phone was great, being able to track my spend, Shane they also won’t give you a credit increase which as a bank who advertised as a way to help build your credit score, has a very limited use for the card as every month I spend over my small £3000 limit so have to pay the balance each week so I can keep getting my cash back,

They closed my account because they started charging, which is fine, however they owed me money. Months later they finally decide they will pay me back to the debit card registered, but I don't have that card anymore. I contacted them to let them know and I got an email from a representative called Mark saying; Hi, if you still have the same account then that should still go back to that account! I replied as I obviously don't have the same account, and the second reply was; Okay? Good to know! The worst response I have ever received from a credit card company, is it a robot or do they employ children?

Use this only for rounding up my purchases into a savings. Great little app, spare change soon adds up and really easy to transfer back into normal bank if needed. Not applied for credit cards or other services

I'm sorry to hear that they are changing the cashback card. I have used it in a number of different countries with no problems. I love that I get notifications of every spend on my phone in real time and the app has always worked well for me. Up til now this has been really good so don't change a product that works for something less good that is spun as updated.

Very very poor!! I tried to open a simple autosave account which was declined due to their internal issue. After speaking to someone, I was told that it needs to be referred and reset so I can retry in 24hrs. This transpired to be be “guff” and I needed to retry in 14 days. I did, and had the exact same issue. Had the same chat with them and was told I’d get a call today as it will be referred as urgent to their IT team. I got a voicemail to call back, which I did, to be told I’d have to retry in 14 days. That there is an internal issue. So, what’s the point?! The definition of madness is tandem. It wouldn’t be so bad if there wasn’t an abject apathy when dealing with them

Having been a loyal early adopter of Tandem, seeing that they’re removing the Cashback Credit Card and asking for a £5.99 monthly fee to continue is terrible. Would have thought that existing customers could, at the very least, enjoy a cheaper introductory rate or some added benefits. Stay clear - it is not worth the £5.99 monthly fee.

Absolutely adore the Tandem Bank app! Signing up to the autosavings was so easy and it's brilliant having such simple ways to save my money and having the control back in my savings. Literally have all my banks linked in one place is so convenient, couldn't recommend it enough, going to apply for the journey credit card next!

I opened a fixed saver account and couldn't see where my money would be held on the app. So I started a chat via the app but two hours later and noreply I shall not be investing my money into this bank. As I have no confidence in the bank. Absolutely awful service

Just avoid. This is just a means of collecting your data. I have a high credit score, good history of paying credit cards in full and have never been rejected for a credit card in my life, until now. Their explanation is nonsensical. So if you don’t want to take the risk of a rejection on your credit score, don’t go near these people

Just opened my email to read that by march 2020 I can pay £5.99 a month or lose my cashback card. I don't see any real benefit for £5.99. You can get a 1.5% interest account for free elsewhere. I will standby and watch this bank implode. Very disappointing. I opened the account a month ago.

The app isn't actually too bad. The customer service is dreadful all round. I could write a book about how to not do customer service from this bank. Misleading information, charges, and plenty of other bits. I've had about 10 interactions with customer service and 8 of them were sub par. Not once has anyone tried to keep me as a customer by offering to fix anything so in the end I left.

Avoid - they can't even properly get an account open so why would I give them my hard earned savings. Telling me I forgot to tick a box at the end of the application form ?? So how come the next screen said said registration complete and then asked for two forms of ID to be sent , which I did and you confirmed had been received. Jokers...stay well away.

Completely rubbish! Do not use their services! I had some fraudulent transactions occur on my account and I had plenty of evidence to prove that I didn’t make the transactions but yet Tandem did no investigation into this and blamed me for making the transactions! The customer service agents are completely useless and would not connect me through to the fraud team or the complaints team (the teams that were “dealing” with my case). In the end I had to go to the FOS to sort out the mess Tandem could not be bothered to sort out. Avoid Tandem like the plague!! They are a waste of time!

Great credit card gives good exchange rate, and no fee on foreign transaction. Also gives a small cashback which is nice. It seems to be cool high-tech company but they still send me a paper statement...I wish I can download statement online in the future, keep up Tandem!

Tried opening a savings account on-line but encountered a problem and was told to contact them which I did. I was told it was being pricessed and would receive further instructions. I have had to do all the chasing and still waiting to complete the opening of the account 4 weeks later. So I am not bothering. The customer service assistants don’t really seem to know the procedures and haven’t given me any confidence in the bank.

I've been a client of Tandem Bank for about 5 months. Every single month I had to call them about some issues in the invoices. I had to call even 3 time for the same issues. Their terms and conditions are worst than the payday loans. I wouldn't recommend it even if it was the last credit card on Earth. Whatever you think you will receive in cashback will be taken in fees and much more. Stay away and you will thank me for that.

This has to be the worst bank around. App fails on a weekly basis, their staff think its not a worry that you can't see what your debt is. I regret ever hearing the name , never mind having to deal with their laid back staff. My advice would be to stay well clear of Tandem. Its a start up in a back yard. BE AWARE.

Good products, everything works just have to be aware that it is a growing bank therefore the app is still playing catch up but it gets a new feature almost every month, customer could be better but again it's improveing every time I contact them. Give it a go in short.
