Ikano have been amazing as far as helping me to deal with my payments and moving dates to be more flexible in these difficult times. The call centre teams are really helpful and I can't praise them enough. However I've been trying to call on the same number to arrange a payment and it's a dead end. I can't get through to anyone and then it just hangs up. It leaves me feeling like it will never be straightforward to sort out. I hope someone sees this and knows that I did try to get in touch to make a payment on the arranged date. I'm not playing about. I just want to pay.

Disgusting excuse of a company. Took direct debits before they were due and left over drawn. Could not get through to customer service on many numerous different occasions, they have left marks on my credit score. Do not give promised call backs or deal with complaints in a reasonable time (over the 8 weeks), respond ignoring half the complaint. Also tried to ignore a financial ombudsman ruling against them. Closed my agreement wiped the balance and turn reopened a new one I haven't signed for! Avoid like the plague. I find it interesting that the only review the supposed "owner" responded to was a positive one he probably paid for. Simply put this bank should not be allowed to operate and put serious barriers in place for disabled customers

Such a poor bank and yet more worse customer service. There is no banking provider in this country who received such loads of negative reviews in such a short while. Well-deserved outcome ...Simply, it is not their business... they are the same owners of IKEA and they should be better off staying away from Banking in this country....

I would advise to have nothing to do with this bank. Wanted to pay off a retail loan in full before it went to monthly payments. Did a test payment which promptly disappeared and was not taken off the balance. Have mailed them but, no response. You can't get through on the telephone, it just says they are busy and cuts you off. It looks to me like I'm being railroaded in to the monthly payment option as after the initial payment going missing there is no way I'm going to hand over the balance when they send no receipt and you can not speak to them and they don't reply to mail.

What a joke of a bank/finance provider. I attempted to arrange 0% interest finance to order a kitchen through Ikea. A week on from making the finance application, I received a letter requesting two forms of photocopied ID be posted to them. It's 2021, I do not own a printer as I never need to use one. For some reason, this company refuses to change its policy, despite the pandemic and all, to allow ID to be sent via email. I struggle to see how photocopied versions of ID are any more preferable to copies sent via email. Post is slow and not as reliable as email. All their team will provide as a response to this is "That's just our process, it's not going to change" and refuse to explain why. The FCA would not stipulate that they need photocopied versions of ID to approve a loan. Very pleased I do not need to use them anymore.

Agreeing with others. Never use these people. Applied interest to a loan before the interest free period had ended, making it hard to close the account, required multiple phone calls. Phone lines only open 10am to 2pm. Long waits on phone lines. Cannot access my loan online, have to phone them up. Customer service agents are polite but don't seem capable of actually achieving much.

Icano financing companies who offering some service for you and gone under administration or bankrupt because of covid. You never receive service, but Icano asked pay full amount. Then companies start work under different name and after sort time agen under administration. You have to pay for never recieved services.

Good -ish service and relatively easy set up loans and that plus the staff are always nice, but the phone opening times are not ideal, and they always take 30+ minutes to answer. They should really have something where you can check your account information and your balance rather than calling up and waiting for knows how long

Worst bank I have ever dealt with. Not really a bank , more like dodgy loan sharks. I bought some glasses through vision express in 2016 on thier finance. Only for £700. They set up the direct debit, it was set up wrong by vision express so I missed my first payment. I then paid that payment on card and paid the balance and every payment of the loan on time. They said I defaulted and its have been effecting my credit rating for the last 4 years. I have tried 6 times to communicate with them. I have tried several times to contact via phone but they are using COVID-19 as an excuse that they can't answer the phone or offer any kind of customer service. Got a letter yesterday after complaining nearly 2 months ago, they agree that I can't get on the phone, and won't remove the wrong default. So today, I write to the ombudsman. Never use them, crooks that can't be bothered to speak to customers who have given them money.

Id sooner have all my teeth extracted without pain relief than deal with this bunch again .....trying to pay off a loan is made near impossible by phone and when you eventually get through its like talking to an uneducated muppet whose understanding of basic maths is beyond their capability .

Laughable customer care. Was on the phone for nearly two hours listening to a loop of the same music. We only wanted to confirm we had paid early so we could cancel the direct debit. Nothing like a lengthy automated service to scare us pesky CUSTOMERS away.

Ikano Bank is a nightmare i can not speak to anyone at customer service regarding my direct debit, they keyed my account details in wrong and then accused me of cancelling the direct debit & tried charging me a missed payment charge!

Loan went through fine enough BUT... I have to agree with most of the negative feedback regarding customer after service. I have to take into account the covid situation and would therefore use Ikano Bank again. They did get in touch via email, which is the way to go.

Absolutely useless at answering the telephone. They're only available on the telephone 10am to 2pm and you've at least an hour waiting listening to terrible music. I were 34th in the queue, 59 minutes later I were the 17th... so I gave up. They seriously need to sort out their working hours, I know the current pandemic is a good excuse but that's just a cop out! I still need to talk with someone, but I'm not waiting over an hour otherwise my telephone provider will charge me for the entire cost of the call at 16p per minute. Its regards a loan I've paid off in full, so there's no online facility to check on this. I'd give them zero stars if that were possible!! **Update, use Facebook Messenger to message them they respond really quickly**

I can see why it has such a bad review score. If I could leave ZERO, I would. Possibly the worse customer service I’ve ever had. Impossible to get through to anyone, you complete an online call back form and they don’t phone back. Steer clear, they’re awful

Appalling customer care. Ikano leave it to the very last day of the 8 week period to handle complaints leaving you in limbo. Please note that if you have any items outstanding on a back order with Ikea, you will only have 90 days to use the outstanding balance. Otherwise the money is withdrawn from the original loan amount. This is not very well documented in the agreement and no advice on this is given by Ikea. Avoid.

Very disappointed in them. Canccelled my carpet order from SCS but they never told Ikano bank. Took months to sort and stayed in contact with Ikano throughout and they told me they would freeze any action. Went back on their work and destroyed my credit rating culminating in my bank slashing my credit card limit which I need for work causing me major problems.

So we use this company at work for credit applications and can honestly say I have never had any complaints, the e-signature on their website was down and took a day or two to fix only my application had been stopped for security. NADIA was the best assistant I could have wished for today and within minutes had everything all sorted and was lovely to speak with somebody who was so helpful she went above and beyond to fix things. such a polite lady who will be working her way up the ladder very quickly as she can manage things better than any other member of staff. 10 out of 10 for her amazing efforts and super fast ability's.

Spoke to a representative regarding a missed direct debit payment. Additional fees were discussed, which I was not happy with. The fees were 3x greater than my missed direct debit payment, which I vocally agreed to pay by the of the month. 1 star for this. The contact was knowledgeable and offered me support and also agreed to remove the fees. I will give 3 stars on this occasion. I would advise against missing any direct debit payments in your repayment schedule as the additional fees are significant and were not (in my opinion) clearly outlined in the terms and conditions.

Had a store card, paid it off monthly and then I was a victim of a scam (separate incident), explained this to them and asked them to pause it whilst I sorted it out due to bank account frozen, they have now put me in a default and passed me onto a debt agency!!

Useless bank Do to my credit score situation is 100 % and + I allways get the best loans and credit cards ! for a loan of just 1000 £ one a product monthly rate purchase that i was not even get this money just the product that cost the sum above they ask you proof of 3 months bills& address of living in paper and a lot of paper documentation & they never respond your phone calls at the end of this! Waste of time! I used my own money to buy the equipment I need !this kind of business should go back to trade with rocks and all their institution should return to the stone age trade from caves + their staff use stereotyping tactics and personal judging attitude they are not business trained they get paid not to think!!!! If it was 0 star that wath you should get seriously I am not even angry the lack of service you people are a waste of space and time !!! Finance application went through but when I went to pay at the till the money was not released by ikano. i had to pay in full with my debit card. very poor. then i was told to cancel the finance by calling ikano by member of ikea staff. I went home next day and called ikano and ikano told me to tell ikea to cancel as by balance is zero. then i called ikea and on call staff told ill have to go to ikea store and do it as they cant get my paperwork. absolute joke. i then filled up dispute form and sent to ikano and i also drove from Langley to to Reading especially to cancel the finance. very bad experience never again ikano. thank you
