FOA COMPANY ESP JOSH AND MERWISH. Horrendous experience with this company so far. They don't communicate regarding your account they didnt send me my card so was never registered and just didnt even care just passed my debt on to Lowell's without my consent or knowledge when they have all my details no calls nothing when they know its a pandemic and people can potentially be shielding at different addresses for health reasons. I called up to pay everything off was only a new look buy now pay later to boost my credit as my credit history needed work it wasnt I couldnt afford it to be told the account is no longer when I recieved a letter 4 days prior to say that I had a 12 pound charge for a missed payment. When I called to query this I spoke to a manager called Josh he acknowledged the company were wrong to pass on my debt without sending a letter leaving me out of the loop and couldnt wait to get me off the phone. They then put a note on your account to say you're there to complain! So everytime you ring to query if there is a resolve on your account I had various excuses from merwish the second time I rang 1)to say josh no longer works there 3 weeks later convenient LOL!! and that a manager is not available to take complaints on the phone and when I reminded her I spoke to josh last time she said I'll put you on hold and all of the sudden every senior member of staff was in a meeting.. yeah, right.. and when I called back again I spoke to laura who advised the manager is just on another complaints call .. funny meeting right. I eventually spoke to a senior member who was lovely and actually gave me the time to listen but I am still awaiting a resolve for what I feel is unfair treatment.

3 months to change a payment date from 26th to 28th. Takes over 3 weeks to get a reply via email and the reply you do get is short and not very thorough. I honestly wish I never got my financial agreement with this SHOCKING business.

They won’t let you pay off the finance agreement in FULL early, even tho it states in the credit agreement you can. They won’t return calls and will avoid letting you speak to anybody senior. They are breaking the law in my eyes

bad experience with new look card. failed to let me know via email, phone or post that a payment was due, I was then charged more than what I owed on the card in the first place for the late payment. I'm not even that cross about the money, its more the fact that it will have damaged my credit score. STEER CLEAR

50 mins in a queue wondering why my card hadn't shown up 20 days after ordering when the email says 5 to be told it can take up to a month with no apology that their emails are misleading. No other way to contact them but by phone which is clearly not manned to the number of calls.

Awful service. Used them through Ikea for our Kitchen. We paid on-time, every month, yet their system continually sent us letters saying none of our payments were received. We have sent them proof from our bank saying they were sent successfully and we never get a response. They have threatened to send bailiffs and destroyed our credit rating. Every time we call, they say the issue has been resolved but nothing changes and we continue getting these threats. We don't know what to do or who to contact about this now as their customer service has no idea how to solve??? what do we do??? AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Getting an Ikea kitchen with their Ikano finance was the biggest mistake we have ever made with our new home.

If I could give this company no stars I would. I don't get why a company as widely known as DFS would take into consideration working with a complete waste of a company like these. A simple admin change in my order (removal of an item) resulted in the company requesting a change of address document from myself for my thousand pound order. Confused, I called dfs and explained I'd not moved from my house in Sheffield within the last 8 hours of placing my order so why would I have to provide this. I was then told the finance company had changed my delivery address to somehwere in Hull? After 5 hours of phonecalls, where the number this company provides to you costs £2.50 a minute to speak to. I finally got this sorted. Unfortunately will even try to avoid dfs going forwards because of how bad this company is. The star rating this company has overall is absolutely justified. I've also read through your generic reply to everyone who has raised an issue and have sent you a complaint email.. with no response, of course

Bought a purchase from SCS and took out loan from (IKANO BANK) buy now pay later Wish I had an option to select 0-star rating, I would not dare to recommend this to anyone. This is a homemade and very small bank, charges double APR with 0/10 scored. You will get stuck with this thieves forever. Balance was £525, paid £300 in one go, payment reduced to £225 and set up a monthly direct debit of £26 after 4 months contacted to clear final balance, shock to know it is on £279. Instead of going down it is going up each month. Names (SANA) customer service adviser misguides and misinforms you, (MARK) customer service adviser mishandles, incompetent, gives incomplete information and doesn’t know what to do, calls (LUKE) manager fails to sympathies, admits if his crew is wrong and deceives you and still takes their side. AT THE END COMPLAINT UNRESOLVED

Appalling customer service. Have been trying to close my account for several weeks. No reply when I send a message- supposed to respond within two days. On the phone on hold for over 20 minutes. Log on again, site down for maintenance, on a Monday morning !. What business carries out maintenance during the working day/week. Never dealt with such a poor bank.

Charged a £25 "tracing fee" and "put a hold on the account" because I forgot to change my address and the annual statement was returned to them! We were living in rented accommodation when we applied for the DFS loan but the sofas were delivered to the house we'd just bought, hence why we forgot to change the address. I only found this out when I called to change the address when we moved again 18 months later. Good job I did as I would have cancelled the DD at the end of the 3 year loan period and never known about the £25 and therefore been hit with a late payment fee. Monthly payments are all made by direct debit and none missed. They obviously didn't try very hard to trace me as they could have got that information from my bank, the council tax or any number of places. Looking at reviews I'm not the first person to be caught out this way. Surely a tracing charge isn't "reasonable" if they never actually try to trace you? Sister company of IKEA apparently. STAY CLEAR!

Ikea has this bank as finance service, but WHY? They run credit check over the phone, yet not able to decide if you can get credit, but sending a letter where they list what you need to send them, only by POST! In 2020 not possible to e-mail them anything! Ridicoulos!

Very poor. After initial application, received a letter a week later asking for further documents including a paper bank statement, which I had to purchase myself from my own bank as I am paperless. Then waited for a month before hearing that no-one had assessed my application despite holding my forwarded documents and that I would now have to re-apply with a new claim as 28 days had passed since I had initially contacted Ikano for a potential loan. Despite the pleasant manner of the customer services representative, I am a little bewildered at the lack of action. Would not recommend.

Disgraceful and very rude customer service over the phone. I have never been made to feel so belittled by an organisation. I had to stop myself from hanging up on them many times during the ‘interrogation’. It is safe to say I will never go to this company again and will be telling all friends/family to avoid. Martin Lewis May be correct about the figures but missed the part about horrendous attitude of their staff. I will be sticking to better known bank/organisation in the future, regardless of their interest rates.

Very inexperienced staff by the name Liam who’s claimed he’s been working for the company for 4 years. Not confident whatsoever and muddles a lot as he goes by th script. Does not know what he’s talking about and constantly checking back and forth with people for answers. Very poor service and most certainly a deceiving company who at the front of advertisement puts positive thoughts into their business with inexcusable reason to decline people. That I can say that surely as my credit is clean and with no problems and that comes from a mortgage owner for number of years. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Please do not make the mistake of choosing it as they make decisions based on their comfort and relaxation.

Missed a call from them due to being at work, called up when i got a chance and got put on hold 3 times! I was on the phone for 20 mins to be told they couldn't put me through to underwriter. I then received a call from an underwriter, who asked me questions regarding what exactly i bought with my credit cards etc. I understand the amount questions but not ‘so what did you buy with that credit card?’ Non of his business! All my info is on the credit profiles and i was told they werent allowed to discuss it with me, yet i had to go into lots of personal details in order to get a decision? The agent wasn't the politest and actually made me feel like a child. We have just remortgaged this afternoon and it wasnt anywhere near as strict. I would never apply for a loan again and I am glad I didnt get approved. Wasted 40 mins of my time plus the 20 mins of pointless hold time to begin with too! AVOID

What a load of sharks steer well clear, I had a buy now pay later for a settee and chair from SCS I was going through a divorce and had to arrange many other things and my mind was a bit all over the place. I ordered it in the February and it took 16 weeks to be delivered to my current address, the address I was living at the time was the address that ikano had although it was delivered to my new address I also had an interest free loan for a carpet again from SCS and this time I was living in the new address, so ikano would have had this on record I knew that I was due to pay for the settee and chair but didn't know exactly when and I was always going to pay the balance in full £2400 then on 19 March I had a call asking why I hadn't paid the first payment. I explained that I was going to pay the full amount and the man said I owed £3077 I would have to pay the interest. I asked if they had sent me a reminder and he explained that they had but to my old address and because I hadn't told them my new address there was nothing they could do. I received a letter stating that I owe £3077 but when I rang to pay by bank transfer they Say that I owe £3168 and that the letter was a mistake, what a joke I have spoken to 2 other people about this and they said the same thing I wanted to make a complaint but no one will listen to me to listen to my reason for missing the deadline as I have made an honest mistake, unfortunately they don't care and probably hope that I don't pay again so the sharks can make more money, there are more honest people in prison

Utterly disgusting loan company in the uk and world. People should be aware of the ikano system weakness, hidden fees. I try to keep my story’s short. I have bought a bed and a sofa from Ikia last year and i have borrowed the money from Ikano bank. I made 10 months payments without missing a single payment. Until November last year i went to Scotland to a family care and i came back around end of January. I have received a letter about missing a payment on 23 of jan 2019. The day i came back from Scotland after checking my posts I realised the direct debt has not been through for whatever the reason. I have contacted the customer service help line , after been hold for 30 minutes i manged to get hold of the manager . I have to admit he was not rude to me at all . I explained my situations for missing the payments and i was told that i have to pay £25 for each missing payment and I agreed with that. However when i asked about my credit score i was told i have to pay £300 which is £100 is the late payment fee and a default on my credit scores. I did my very best with the manager to not damage my credit score and agreed to pay in full the remaning balance. Unfortunately the manager told me i have to pay the full remaining balance including the late fee and after paying the full balance a default notice will be issued on my credit score . I want make everyone aware of my story and I strongly suggest to anyone out there dont come near this company as they will ruined my life and getting a mortgage. End of story i do not recommend Ikano to anyone , be aware of their hidden fees and weakness in their system they cant be even bother to send u a text message reminder about your missing payments or anything else .

The application process is fine. The staff on the phone are also friendly and understanding. However I did not appreciate the work in the background. I got charged twice for a fault on there end. Even though I confirmed my bank details they still entered someone elses details. How can you get the bank details wrong twice even after confirming the details. Personally I would avoid as there interest free scheme seems a bit dodgy seeing as they are purposely entering wrong details and charging???
