For a high street branch the service is appallingly and frustratingly slow. Queues build up every visit and staff who seem to be unavailable to serve customers. Customer service gets a generous one-star rating,.

There were only two people working. When we told them about our problem, they were not very willing to help us since "there was not enough staff". They recommended us to go to the Lloyds of Bond Street, since "there they had more personnel and that could serve us better."

This branch seem to work on their own policies rather than the bank's policy. Extremely unhelpful staff. Grossly understaffed. I don't even understand why it bothers to open on Sat with its kind of service

Not enough staff. Walked in again to open an account at 3pm at what I was told was a quiet time. Long queue and only one person actually behind the till. Two more wandering around providing "customer services". Queue didn't move in 15 mins. Went to Barclays instead.

With Lloyds for years with no problem, I work now at soho and this branch is the closest one. I totally prefer to take a tube to another branch if I need something. It is never enough staff, long queues and even to do a simple thing could take you a few days of "now you need this paperwork that we didn't tell you last week". Not recommended.

Just moved to the UK and was looking for a current account. Lloyds Bank offers to open an account with an EEA/EU Passport as sole piece of identification. Usually Lloyds requires you to setup an appointment to open your account. I visited six different branches until I came to this one. Most of the other branches were swamped and offered appointments during the end of next week without even looking at my passport and work contract. The staff at the Oxford St. branch were really helpful and were able to open my new account on the spot (to be fair, I was lucky since an earlier appointment of another client had just been cancelled). This is going to be my branch of choice going forward.

My local Lloyds bank when at work. Know some of the counter staff when they were over at the Lloyds TSB branch over the road nearer Tottenham Court Road. Very helpful and go out of their way to see everything is done correctly. If I ever have a query are extremely diligent and helpful. Pleased I am with Lloyds they are a good bank.

Awful customer service. Branch did not open on time, no apologies made. Then had to queue for 10 minutes as one of the two cashiers was counting up. I then asked said cashier if I could deposit some Turkish Lira into my account: "I don't think we do that here." I had to prompt him to find out! He returned and said "you're probably better going to Marks and Spencers to get it changed, then coming back here with the money." Erm, excuse me? Absolutely hopeless, slow and pitiful service. Thankfully I don't bank with Lloyds - this was an errand for a friend - and I certainly will never if this is indicative of how they are!

6 people working in the office and only one in cashiers and the others just walking around doing absolutly nothing , super sad customer service we are right now 12 people in the que and they are just 10 minutes away from closing.

This branch is a mess. There is not enough people to provide service to all the customers coming in, and there is a guy with an iPad walking around that doesn't know what he's doing and how to figure out the queue. People at the cashiers, extremely slow.

I went this morning, I asked to open the business accountant because I have personal accountant from 8 yeas. He told me " I can't because you don't speak good English". I told him this was racist and I went in the other lloyds to close BBC where they help me in all things . I would like to know why this person work with the public.

One of the staff members in this branch who rejected my request to open my account in Lloyd’s. The employee’s attitude was everything but positive as he only wanted to see my back. According to Lloyd’s requirements to open an account for EEA citizens residing in the U.K., it clearly says that a tenancy agreement from a letting agency is accepted as a proof of address, but this gentleman said that my accommodation provider is not “reputable”, giving some examples of reputable agencies, such as Foxton. Actually, my accommodation provider happens to be one of your customers that has a turnover of £1,5 million a year. This employee, Mr. Mohammed, who was seated at the front desk, did not even bother to read my tenancy agreement to check the details. I don’t know if this is just an instance of unprofessional behaviour because it was 17:45 when I turned up at the branch or if this is a case of outright discrimination because your employee saw my Spanish passport.

Unprofessional assistance from the manager, didn’t want to accept deposit Gibraltar pound with solid reason, just to point the England Bank reject these coins, always the same answer. She continued not to accept after myself contact the assistance call, and confirmed the bank staff must to accept.

Terrible. Went four times just to try and open an account and add my partner to it. Ordered a pin which didn't come for 2 weeks then when it finally did its already ordered another one. Then when I went back to close the account because it had been such a hassle they told me I needed the pin to even do that. Wouldn't accept me coming in person with id. Waste of time

As someone else mentioned, I'm counting 11 people in a queue and there's only one cashier. There are 6 cashier desks in total, what is the point of having so many if there aren't the staff there to staff them? Average waiting time must be crazy. Waited 20 minutes to get served.

La persona que me atendió me hizo sentir mal, en ningún momento se preocupó por leerse la documentación que le había llevado. Le llevé el contrato de la casa, el del trabajo y una carta de referencia que me hicieron en mi trabajo y aún así no me quiso abrir una cuenta allí porque me obligaba a tener como proof of address un recibo de la luz o del gas, cosa que jamás tendré porque vivo de alquiler en una habitación y no voy a tener nunca recibos a mi nombre, ya que están a nombre del casero. Lo peor es la forma en la que me habló y me hizo sentir. Tranquilo, ya me llevo mi dinero a otro banco.
