My experience with Starling Bank has been brilliant so far. I switched my business account from RBS to Starling after seeing an offer to do so and it said they'd pay a bonus for doing the switch. I was wondering if there would be some kind of catch or some hoops to jump through, but after about a week the money landed in my account, just like that! I'm over the moon about it and the app is really easy to use. Thanks, Starling! Highly recommended.

Rude customer services team who cut the call off and didn't apologise or even call back. The bank declined to comment on why my business bank account was declined. Appalling banking service overall with staff who are incompetent and rude. Never will I use this service again or recommend this online bank to anyone, removing my personal bank account after today.

Sterling bank, I’m disgusted with your service. I have had two friends put money into my account which I have verified. You’ve falsely advertised your company! It’s been over two weeks that you’ve frozen my account with my own money. I’ve got a holiday to pay for which they money was for. Now has left me in a debt. And still no outcome of the matter!!! If this matter doesn’t get sorted out. I will be taking a step further!

Banking with Starling is so convenient. Everything is just straight forward. I can see my spending instantly, I can increase/decrease my overdraft whenever I like. I can lock my card if I misplace it. I can deposit cash at any Royal Mail Post Office. The app is super easy to us, and customer support is quick, friendly and efficient. There are so many great things about banking with Starling Bank, when compared to my traditional “bricks and mortar” Building Society, Starling wins hands down. I haven’t fully switched and make Starling my main Bank (but I use them the most) because I believe that it isn’t frugal to keep all my money in one bank.

Starling Bank is an important thing. It makes things that little bit easier for you like getting a reminder that a direct debit is leaving your account or getting a notification that money is going to land in your account and even notifications when money leaves. You can control your card, you can round up card payments and save the difference along with all the other goodies that Starling allows you to do. Starling Bank is important because it has the opportunity to give people shunned by the traditional way of banking a chance. Financial Inclusion gives people power and that's where the real power with Starling sits. The staff have been very helpful in the few times that I have had to deal with them. You can choose to speak with one of the team or get your issue addressed via the app. All in all from start to finish it's how banking should be done. Finally you're in control of your money. You're not a slave to the bank or the old way of doing things. I've been a Starling customer for quite a while now and very much look forward to seeing how they evolve. Keep up the great work one and all.

Starling is the best banking experience I have had. I wonder how I survived before. I am so pleased I made the switch. In addition to our individual accounts both my wife and I share an account from which we manage all our day to day finances, utilities etc. In addition and of particular relevance to us at the present time is travel. We are currently travelling across Asia and the starling card has been remarkable. It allows us to withdraw money in local currencies (at a great rate) as we need it which reduces the need to exchange currencies back etc or predict how much is needed in one currency or another. Thus far we have traveled through Thailand, China, Cambodia and Vietnam without issue. Combine those services with a great app and the excellent saving goals feature and you have a great bank. Bravo to you and thank you. Finally it is likely we will end up living in France so the euro account will surely become our new best friend. Thank you ????

Trying out Starling was the best thing I did. I am that "IT guy", I put my expectations low, so I wasn't disappointed. They turned out to be the best Bank I ever had. I still only use another bank, because I have to, not because I want to. I actually like using the starling app, so many nice features. It's easy to use and I can actually for once do everything from it and customer support is quick and does the job, no nonsense the few times you do need to contact them.

An absolute must for travelling. We go away a lot, and getting a Starling card was the best thing we ever did for going travelling. We never worry about getting out money before we go away anymore because we know we can just get cash out anywhere with a really good conversion, and the app shows you the amount you've taken out in the local currency as well as in sterling. We originally looked at getting a Monzo but they actually have limits on cash withdrawals abroad, which Starling doesn't, which swung it for us. The app's super easy to use, and everyone we've recommended it to has thanked us.

A company I had tried to purchase item from refused to refund £600 even though I never got item. Tried to contact bank about chargeback scheme as company held my money for well over a month. After a few days starling couldn’t advise on any steps they had taken. Will no longer be banking with these once this dispute is sorted. How an individual/company can hold your money for so long and you have no rights to it, you just have to sit and suffer and not eat. Starling thinks that is acceptable obviously, clearly have no interest in looking after my money.

The best banking decision I've made. Everything is simple to use and understand, and the app is well designed. Innovation, accessibility, usability and control that the big banks can't even imagine at this point. Honestly, it's like starling are play Chess, will the other are playing noughts and crosses. Saving, multi-currency banking, over-drafts, loans, links to other financial platforms and utilities …it is an all-round excellent banking experience and product.

I have to give credit where credit is due. I think Starling nailed it, instant notifications, protected pots and storage vaults and most importantly they blocked unwanted transactions without fail, sometimes even the ones you want. That's important though because they are my bank not the merchants. This is bank is the future of banking. Technology on point and a swift service. There is no smarter way to manage your money.

Had high hopes for these guys, but while they seem great, if anything out of the ordinary happens, they do not have the rescources or infrastructure to deal with it. Their customer service is absolutely appalling, they have a set of standard replies, but are unable to answer any non 'run of the mill' enquiries. I'm in the process of moving my personal, joint and business account away from them ASAP. It was a nice experiment, but it's been more hassle than it's worth.

This Online Bank deserves more appreciation and customers. I have been using it ever since I moved to the UK, have been recommended by friends and I have had zero issues with it. In fact, it is so easy to use, understand, and work with it it's just something that other banks don't have when it comes to online banking. I just love it! Was always happy with it and the customer services are just top notch. I recommend this Online Bank to anyone living in the UK. It is, by far an overrated bank and deserves more recognition.

best bank I've ever had... just did 3 months in South America and the instant notifications really are a game changer... even had a problem with an Argentinian ATM charging me when they shouldn't have, but Starling sorted it all out via the in app chat, so no expensive phone calls

Banking as it should be. Simple to deal with via app, yet secure enough for my money. Agreed overdraft if needed with charges explained before you have to pay. Plenty of notice given before you have any charges applied giving you time to challenge or agree. when I have had to contact them, it has been a quick and simple process, no "press 1 for this or press 3 to go around the departments", just a quick email via the app and its replied to promptly with answers or explanations. Big bonus is the ability to use your card overseas (free) with instant notification of the spend to the app and instant currency conversion so you know exactly how much you have spent. Very Highly recommend.
