Terrible service. Very few staff on the floor visibly very stressed. Customers' services is a disservice. No toilets available, "already closed" more than four hours before closing. For this, Customer's service lady recommends fast food restaurant "nearby".

Very poor customer service - could not check Mr Kipling cake price correctly as it scanned at the wrong price (higher price of course) when I showed proof of offer price (photos on phone) assistant didn't want to know and didn't apologise for error / inconvenience caused or effectively calling me either wrong or a liar. Would think twice before going there again in view of treatment !

How can a store of this size have no margarine or butter on the shelves. The customer service is awful and they can’t even take a phone call. Would use a store that can provide basic items.

Has a wide range of products. Including clothes and ASDA's home range, dvd's, games, pharmacy and much more. Also stocks world foods. Has a coin machine were you can change all your loose change for cash. Plenty of parking for all including disabled and parent and Child. Has self scan checkout. You can get you car wash while you shop or order online with click and collect.

One of my favourite stores, with great staff and a good atmosphere. However, today school girls without masks were running around, and were not challenged by staff. This is very dangerous at a this with infections rising so quickly in Brighton. If they are not old enough to wear masks they should not be in the shops.

This ASDA is much better than the other Superstore in the area. Be aware of the strict parking policies. You can easily get a ticket if you are not careful.

Completely ruined Christmas. Went to prepare the Turkey (sell by date 26th) and is was totally rotten and the smell was absolutely disgusting. I still can’t ring the store as they closed again today - Boxing Day.

The worst Asda ever, the staff are rude, they backchat when you say something and the shelves are constantly empty, no one ever fills the shelves and when you try to shop you get pushed out of the way by their staff who think they have priority. We went yesterday and covid restrictions were out the window, no one at the door just everyone bardging in, once inside the aisle were packed people going in opposite directions then to top it all no bags at the checkouts gave up and walked out after.a back chatting session with the ginger safety marshall who should be sacked for his mouth attitude and cheek. Wish a big new store would open in the area they would be lost.

Be very careful if you tell some to wear a mask .my son did so and was shouted at and abused then attracted with trolley ,bones on top of his foot broken .he is self employed and needs to drive for his work.now he is not allowed to drive for 6 weeks.asda and police not interested. At the end the man said he was exempt not that means anything ,all he had to do at the beginning was show his exemption and my son would have said sorry .so be careful if you meet him

Full range of shopping supplies and larger than others along the coast. This place offers everything from basic groceries, electrics, books and audio visual. In house bakery and a good fruit and veg selection. Even when the shop seems busy there always seems to be somewhere to park.

Ok shop, but too many people not wearing masks. It is the law that you have to wear a mask, but the security people are still letting people in. They need to enforce it more. I get it that some people are exempt from wearing masks, but they should have a land-yard to let staff and people know they are exempt. (I would have one if I was exempt).

Briefly parked in the car park outside of store opening hours. Received a £70 fine stating you are allowed to park there for 0 hours and 0 minutes. Presumably because the store was closed. What a desperately grasping and spiteful mentality. Will never be shopping at Asda again.

Appalling click and collect service this morning (19.09.20), absolute shambles with plastic boxes everywhere so no cars were able to drive into the click and collect bays, staff clearly did not know what was going on, lots of unhappy customers complaining and clearly lots of shopping not ready for collection. After a long wait despite turning up within my allotted time slot, I was provided my shopping, got home to discover around £45 worth of shopping missing, called customer service and asked for the missing items to be delivered however I was told that I would have to go back down to the store and buy the items myself (using my time and fuel) despite the error being down to ASDA. Customer services are refunding the money for the missing items but this is not good enough as now need to spend time and fuel on a busy Saturday going back to the store to buy the missing items - Management need to pull their thumbs out and sort it out.

THEE most dismally stocked store you will ever enter. You know that a product is good, because they will be out of stock!! Out of stock of day to day items is inexcusable! People come to big supermarkets for the STOCK! I went in for three items; ground coriander, washing up gloves and a multi-pack of cigarette filters.....ALL OUT OF STOCK!!! Vitamins, including their own brands can easily be out of stock for OVER A MONTH! This has been going on for YEARS and has now forced me to shop elsewhere. Sainsbury's shelves are ALWAYS FULL. Why aren't YOURS, ASDA? You lost me to Lidl 6 years ago and I wished it was 15 years ago when I first moved to Brighton. "No point going to ASDA, they WON'T HAVE IT IN STOCK!" This is my new line...........Absolutely DISMAL!!!

I have always shopped in Asda and recently downloaded the Scan & Go app because I'm fed up with standing in queues for what seems like eternity. However since using this app Asda Brighton Marina now have shut down the Scan & Go tills and we are back to queuing up with the self scanning tills, which you can still use the app on BUT you have to wait for the customers that haven't used the app and are scanning there shopping..so we are now back to queuing down the aisles..now the staff stand around and watch you doing the job that they are getting paid to do.

Wonderful , I thank the staff for working and enabling me a disabled customer to shop and buy fresh produce.Would like some toilet rolls or it will be back to cutting up the daily papers as we used to do many years ago !!!! You have to laugh there are so many people worse off than myself and if that's my only concern then things are not to bad.

Just dealt with “Dan “ who informed me the customer toilets are closed due to pilfering issues , I Said that was unacceptable, as I would like to use the facilities whilst shopping , he said I don’t care , and can I leave the store or I’ll call the police , I was surprised at this response , we then had a standoff , I said please call the police , so I can explain the situation, Dan then refused, instead he called security to have me forcibly removed , . Disgraceful and unprofessional, I believe Dan is a manager , I believe he is in the wrong role .

When I went to go visit it, it looked very dirty, it doesn't have the apple juice I like plus its very small in size compared to other ASDA's. I wish they look at Doncaster ASDA and take notes on how a proper ASDA is meant to look! This review is meant for a specific person and to that person - ily

I’ve been to Asda at least a few times and used to go food shopping once or twice which was a long time ago and it’s a lot busier just like Waitrose but more busy than Tesco and Sainsbury’s and it’s just as twice as busy as Aldi and Lidl are. But it’s too overcrowded to go food shopping especially during the weekends even if you’re in a rush. I would give this for food shopping at Asda a 4 out of 10.

I wanted to cancel an item since I had accidentally added it in twice on the self service, the attendant canceled it for me but done it wrong, (She canceled it then re-scanned it) I brought this up and she assured me and checked with her manager it had been canceled after a bit of back and forth with me saying that it had not been correctly done she offered to check my receipt after I paid. Well, I was right. She hadn't canceled it and she her and her manager, were wrong, It's already quite alarming that a member of staff seems this uninformed but a manager too? They went over to the help desk to process my refund, This was another nightmare altogether, it took about 30 minutes and needed 4 of them just to do this and we were simply met with a quick "Sorry about that." not even from the manager herself. Shoddy, Unprofessional and ill-informed. If you live in Brighton Marina sadly your choices are quite limited if you happen to live closer to the city centre though I would advise going to Sainsburys or Morrisons for your weekly shop.

Originally I was going to rate it four star . But then I got to the bakery . Everyone treated me so well . And the icing on the Caterpillar cake was when I laid eyes on the five foot 7 hunk of meat, with the bright blue eyes and gorgeous beard . Shoulders so sexy and an backside that was nothing but perfection . I mean just wow asda well done . The mole man who worked there aswell was a tad strange though ...

funny standard in upholding the social distancing policy. The bald dude with sunglasses tends to selectively let the young ladies go in together which always causes commotion of the crowds who are forced to wait outside until their family members finish buying. I mean keeping social distancing is good measure. but the unfair treatment is off-putting.

Staff are quick to backchat if you dare to complain. I’ve stopped shopping here and I’ve also stopped my 25 monthly prescriptions coming to the pharmacy in store because of the vile attitude of the “happy to help” staff.

This is one of the big four supermarkets and doesn’t sell fresh fish anymore. Pathetic. I also tried to get my click and collect order today and an Asda van was in the way that couldn’t be moved. I therefore had to carry my groceries through the pouring rain to my car. I have been using this store every week for 31 years but will now be going somewhere else where I can buy some fish and has better customer service. I estimate I have spent around £170000 in the store over the years but they have now lost a loyal customer.

As we all know, bakery goods have a 1 day life. Then tell me, why am i eating 2 day old croissants for my breakfast? This is not just being picky, i worked in a bakery for 5 years and if i served these croissants, i would have to kill myself. Bad asda.

Went to this store today 05/09/2020 and its like they are on a competely different planet. Considering we are still facing a national crisis due to coronavirus. They have two different entrances, but one was blocked off so everyone was walking in and out of the same entrance. There was no limit as to how many customers could be in at one time, therefore it was ram packed. members of staff were not wearing face coverings (I do understand there are exceptions, however they should be made to wear a badge to state they are an exception.) I felt completely uncomfortable walking around the store and didn't actually manage to do my shopping properly as all I wanted to do was get out. Poor management by this store. THIS CRISIS IS NOT OVER AND THINGS LIKE THIS ARE NOT HELPING.

Unfortunately a couple of weeks ago, experienced the worse homophobic treatment from the security. They were actually acting like bouncers rather than calm, polite security staff to assist with the COVID 19 crowd control. This happened upon leaving the store, no signage and was pounced on for leaving rather than waiting. Sadly the store manager supported their poor behaviour, which has now led me and my partner to avoid this store and travel further out to Hollingbury for a more pleasant shopping trip.

FANTASTIC STAFF working in this store with free parking too. The only down side is the misserable old women shoppers whinning non-stop. BAN this old miserable women shoppers who come here early in the morning & start arguing with the staff & the security staff who are always so POLITE at all times. These old women also smell Disgusting and & have no Respect for social distancing & Some old women customers have no Manners or common sense. one old woman stood right behind me touching me & refused to give me space & only interested in arguing with staff & fellow customers, BAN this NASTY old women from this store for Good.

Brighton marina Asda. 27 July 2020. Oh dear what is going on? 1. So many empty shelves and boxes - where are all the groceries? Demand is outstripping supply! Looks like panic buying happening again and why? Where are the staff to fill the shelves and where are the managers doing stock control. 2. No magnums in Brighton marina Asda garage only pks of ice -I know its raining today, but its July and sunny days will be back! Please can we have magnums and other ice lollys back on sale in Asda garage? Has someone made a mistake and cancelled the orders?

Arrived at Brighton on holiday from the North West on Friday afternoon. Decided to visit ASDA at Brighton Marina to stock up on supplies. I usually shop at ASDA when at home so I know what to expect, specific lines of food etc. I was horrified at the state of the place at 4pm on a Friday afternoon. Aisles with loads of empty boxes on the shelves, stock lying on the floor and the place looking as many stores did back at the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis. I would be embarrassed if I was the store manager of this branch. This store seriously needs a visit from an Area or Regional Manager to see just what a shambles it is. Shocking!

Car parking fine, when visiting for less than 1 hour. Realised the store was closed and left, then received a £40 parking fine, which rises to £70 if not paid on the date of receiving.

I was told that as an elderly and disabled customer and a carer t hat I could visit the store on aMonday Wednesday and Friday between 8 am and 9 am. I arrived and a very rude security man told me I could not go in the store as Asda did not cater for my group. Despite assuring him I could as otherwise why would I come down at 8 am in the morning he refused to acknowledge there was a time slot f or my purposes. I asked him if he thought I was a liar and he shouted at me that there never had been this slot, only for the nhs. Appalling behaviour by someone young enough to be my son. Think twice or 3 times before visiting this store

Went with my workmate for NHS hour, both after working 12 hrs night shift. Upon arrival we found out there are restrictions, so we indicated straight away we also live together at the same address, but we shop separately. We have been told that it's totally fine as we both have NHS badge, but need 2 trolleys. As we entered the store at the same time, we were naturally going through the store together, checking that we don't duplicate items we could possibly share - there is some stuff we can use together and let other people have it. As we were discussing if we can manage to share one bag of cheese, instead of buying 2 of them, we were approached by a store manager, who instantly started to yell that we are shopping together and we are breaking the rules. I did explain we live at the same address but we don't make food together, neither eat the same things, and that we discussed this with Asda colleague outside to make sure we are okay to shop. He did not care, making us extremely embarrassed and guilt tripping that we should follow the rules as we work for the NHS! I tried to explain that this is misunderstanding, and we are of course going to follow rules as long as they are properly explained to us! Interestingly, he was screaming about safety measures, yet he did not keep any distance, and there was so much anger in him, he even managed to spit on me while shouting! I left the store absolutely distressed and anxious. That was not what I needed after working long night shift caring for those in need! I am very sorry if I broke any of Asda rules but the way this person treated me and my colleague was absolutely disgusting. There are also respectful ways of informing customers on the rules that are in place. Shame.
