would you like to loose money? would you like to be stolen? rent a property with fox and sons and you will have the pleasure of being robbed. before move in everything is fine once youre in.... useless staff useless service, you will need to beg them to have your deposit back, if they want to give it back because the will do everything to hold it, if they cannot find a reason they will made it up. THIEVES!!!

Pleasant enough people and a standard letting agency. Uses a UK centalised call center as a management service so you rarely talk to the same person twice and if you have any special conditions in your contract, non standard maintenance requirements or a dispute with your landlord they struggle to deal with it. As with many partly centralised businesses inter-departmental communication can be patchy and like a game of Chinese whispers. I once called about a leaking toilet and got sent out a dyno-rod guy to unblock it. Also failed to inform us of an impending landlord visit who arrived unannounced and attempted to gain access at an inconvenient time and, after access was prevented, refused responsibility for the resulting bad feeling. Will use again if I have to but would rather not.

I recently sold my house with Fox and Sons and they were great. It wasn't straightforward as the house was let, and they worked around the tenants to arrange viewings. They were always around to answer questions and helped to get the sale through quickly. I dealt mostly with Dom and Katie and they were both really helpful. I would happily recommend them and use them again.

These guys work very hard for you and there are not many Estate Agents who are 1) so responsive 2) answer the phone MOST promptly 3) always call you back if required 3) are very pro-active , positive and encouraging 4) always keep you in the loop with your sale and, on top of all that, are always friendly, and enthusiastic .A pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. After having a dreadful 9 month experience with a Brighton Estate who's aim is to "out-passion" our competitors" - we turned to Fox & Sons - Western Road. From our first meeting with Katie we were very impressed with her market evaluation of our property. She had researched the local competition and gave us a realistic valuation rather than raising our expectations of the value of our property.
After our second sale fell through just before Christmas - Fox & Son re-launched our property online on Christmas day. They assured us that they would only allow serious buyers to view our property and they were true to their word. We agreed a sale with a cash buyer in January and this week we have completed on the sale of our property. Throughout the whole process the team at Fox & Sons have been outstanding - we received feedback on every viewing within hours and it was always constructive.
This is the third Brighton Estate Agent we have used and they stand head and shoulders above the other two High Street agents. They come highly recommended!

We were introduced to James Elvin through Fox and Sons, having initially considered buying in Brighton. Despite ultimately settling on a property in London, we were so impressed by James that we asked him act as mortgage broker for our purchase. Dominic’s years of experience, passion for his work and belief in our flat persuaded us to entrust him with its sale. We are very pleased we did. In all the ups and downs we faced, he remained focused on solutions and was tireless and determined in seeing the sale through, in spite of Brexit happening two days before we were due to exchange. Extremly bad service.... Hardly got any viewings had to lower the price of property in order to try and get more viewings as couldn't get out of the contract. They never bothered to call us we always had to chase them for Information... It got so bad that a member of staff in the same branch we were selling with didn't even know we had a property to sell with them. Thats vompletely suns it up - very u professional. Shocking service I would not bother waiting your time or money with them !

Possibly the laziest estate agents in the wonderful city that is Brighton & Hove. Nothing but glorified key holders. I was shown around numerous properties which the agent knew nothing about, for example; the lease, the monthly maintenance, the sinking fund, any planned works, the community charge... absolutely useless. and he was a senior negotiator! Unreal. I also had a similarly disappointing experiencing at their Church Rd branch who couldn't even manage the viewings diary as twice I was stood-up.

They got a sale on my property very quickly (well within a week). The road to exchange was very difficult for reasons that had nothing to do with them and they were very supportive and proactive behind the scenes with the lawyers on both sides and patient and constructive with my frustrations at ongoing conveyancing difficulties. They certainly helped get it across the line for me.

Really need to listen to potential clients.
We walked in, gave them our details, from the word go we said we're not from the area so we would need some help on that front.
The person we spoke to kept asking us 'how about such-and-such street?'
We kept saying 'We're not from the area, please would you tell us where that is?'
Fox and Sons rep 'It's round the corner from whichever square.'
Us 'We're not from round here, we don't know where that is.'
Fox and Sons 'It's past Sainsburys.'
Us 'We don't know where that is.' etc etc
Even the person sitting next to the rep we were talking too gave us an apologetic look, we weren't being listened to, we went through this conversation four times with four different properties. After about 15 minutes we said our goodbyes, walked out, looked at each other and agreed we wouldn't be going back.

Katie at Fox's Western Road had rung me to check my sale was going through - as most estate agents do, at the time it was, so it was a brief non pushy chat. A few months later I signed up with Katie - she kept to her word, kept me informed and was my sole point of contact; she also got me more than my previous estate agents and completed a sale. I should have gone with them first!

We initially used Fox & Sons to find a tenant for a rental property in Brighton and were immediately impressed by the presentation and professionalism of the member of staff from their Lettings department in Western Road who came out to view the apartment. Fox & Sons had been recommended to us by a neighbour who, a couple of months earlier, had successfully let his own flat via Fox & Sons at a traditionally flat time of the year for the rental market and spoke very highly of their services. To our great delight, within a fortnight Jack, the Lettings Adviser handling our business, had found a very suitable tenant for our property. Throughout the process which then ensued, much of which was conducted via email and mobile phone across multiple time zones since we were travelling in Australia at the time, we never received anything less than an exemplary service from Jack. Acting as our sole point of contact, he capably and efficiently guided us through the whole process from initial assessment of our property right through to check-in of the new tenant. Jack’s sheer professionalism coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the Brighton rental market and of the complex and ever-changing set of legal requirements with which landlords must nowadays comply, combined to make what, for a whole range of reasons, can be a stressful and frustrating time for landlords seeking quality tenants for their properties, into a smooth and (almost) painless experience. In fact, so impressed were we by the service received from Jack at Fox & Sons that, a couple of months later, we used their services a second time to find a tenant for another property. Once again, Jack was able to match us up with tenants, this time within just a week of viewing the property, whilst delivering the same exemplary standard of care and professionalism we had enjoyed with the first property. On the basis of our dealings with Fox & Sons, I would have no hesitation in recommending them wholeheartedly to any landlord seeking a high quality letting service from a professional firm who really understand the local market and can deliver the results you need competently, efficiently and within the shortest possible timeframe.
