Royal Bank of Scotland are a shocking disgrace. After nearly 20 years of banking with them, they mis-sold me a loan which will amount to 50% interest by the time it is paid off. The complaints department have been especially unhelpful resolving the issue. Worse than a payday loan company. They clearly haven't improved since they managed to swindle £500 million out of the tax payer 13 years ago. Bank elsewhere.

Went to pay in some cash. No more counter staff. No more counters. Just one machine. Put in my cash. It rejected it. Had to take it all out again, and join a queue of people. RBS guy said everyone was in 'meetings.' They think that by replacing people with technology everything goes well. They need to learn about failure demand. Worst branch experience ever. Others punters in the branch also confused by the massive lack of humans!

Absolutely disgusting that this company is charging £25 “admin” fee when all it took was 30 seconds in a computer ... you obviously not interested in repeat customers.. in this day an age where money is tight the insurance companies screw you over for a profit and couldn’t give a toss if you renew or not !!!!

Helpful branch in central Brighton who gave me a basic account when no other banks would many years ago. Good advice from staff has built my account to full service, with occasional face to face reviews to discuss my needs, which have frequently saved me money. The 4 stars is to reflect the neglected state of the branch itself, which has suffered from the 'on/off' transfer to Williams & Glynn, something I hope RBS will address now that the transfer has been abandoned

All the way to Brighton to do banking for my work, bus fare and time wasted as it’s being refurbished. Why do you not post this instead of saying you are “Open” You really are the poorest bank I have ever encountered!! Sad very sad!

Very confusing setup when I entered the bank that looked like a warehouse for neon signage or some sort of coffee shop with no customers or staff to help. The whole experience turned out to be a wasted trip as they couldn’t do anything for me and I am to go online, print and then highlight payments. I am surprised that it is beyond the capabilities of the RBS to help me with that in the branch or online with separating the information I need from the rest of the statements. Just bizarre. Also couldn’t help with credit card, insurance etc etc even though all these were taken out in an RBS branch when it was sold.

Nothing wrong with the branch inside. Lovely staff. Dodgey outside atm. I simply tried to get a tenner out. The money didn't come out and a customer trying to tamper with atm message came up. Find somewhere else

Withdrew £20 from their cash machine today and they refused to change it into something smaller because I wasn't a customer. Wouldn't recommend a bank with this attitude.

Terrible bank, dread going down to withdraw money as always under staffed. Staff seem not interested in serving customers. No instant customer service just "make appointment for next month". How does RBS make money I will never know.

The staff are always helpful and very friendly. The wait usually isn't too long. Overall very good!

It is such a shame that the once mighty Williams & Glyns Bank was taken over by The Royal Bank of Scotland (yes, I know they were all part of the same school N.W. and all that but W&G had staff and managers that knew you personally and cared. Now? It is all generic and you can't speak to anyone who knows you or your history. You have to go through everything every time. Romance? Unrealistic? No! How banking should be and was before Banks became The Government and we all bowed to the God of Usury.

Awful service, I spent half an hour trying to call the branch this morning and experienced someone answering the phone and putting the receiver down on me without speaking.
