As some of the other reviewers have stated... really not sure why this place has got so many bad reviews. Booked an eye appointment, they were bang on time... they were helpful and accommodating with choosing the glasses. Once chosen, the specs were delivered on time! No complaints what so ever.

Lousy customer service. Poor attitude. So many workers but very few working. Kept waiting ages whilst 5 or 6 staff standing around. 2 people were allowed to push in front of me. When my time came, senior member of staff took another customer in front of me. He asked the junior member of staff if there was a queue she said to him not to worry. Should've gone Boots. Next time I will.

On the 5th of August, I have used their free eye tests and booked online on the 4th of August one day before my official appointment with my eye Specialist. On the positive side, the staffs are helpful and friendly toward their customers like myself, the eye specialist is patent and caring on the tests which I haven't felt irritation and unwelcome. One negative is that the Stratford's Specsavers will open at 9:30 am which is slightly annoying due to wanted to come to my appointment a lot early and finished early to avoid overcrowded from the shopping centre. Also, I have looked through the widow it seen all staffs are warm-up and giving introduced on their workplace which I did understand due to past work in the event stewards. Also, there is no Specsavers in Westfield Stratford which I have found it odd because Westfield Stratford have a large Boots, Superdrug, Body Shop and WH Smith store in Westfield. Oh well, I would recommend this store in the future.

Very rude most of the customer assistant. I went there for my son 1st of all they didnt ad the stock for my son's glasses, then they denied to to use his old glass, anothen day my son had eye issue i took him to emergancy appointment then they deney to see him just because he has been seen 6 months before & 1 year was recommanded, then a optician came & saw him quickly & said its fine his eyes are ok. I didnt trust him & i took aoopintment with boots optician & they have really freindly stuff & they really care! they have seen my son very nicely & said yes he was sun sensitivity therefore he feel unwell he need a transition eye glass & a drop to recover. so spectsaver is awefull , i will never ever go there again & never recommand anyone.

One of the best costumer service experiences I've had in a long time. Linda and Shareen (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) are very efficient and reliable professionals, who helped me alot. Thanks to Linda I was able to get the best of the deals available to me. And Shareen made my eye test super comfortable and stress free. My glasses were ready to pick up quickly. Thank you, I'll be coming back for sure.

I turned up for an appointment and they had no record of appointment. Rebooked for following week and when I rang them to ask why I haven't received courtesy text for appointment, they said we have no record of appointment! Something really wrong going on, probably their IT system. I have been using them for many years and never had these sort of problems in the past

Came into the store a few weeks a go. Ordered my contact lenses but only right eye had arrived! Train journey cost me a fortune and time taken off work for this nonsense. The Management is very bad David doesn’t know how to talk to customers!!!! Avoid at all cost. Shambolic !

Instant regret upon entering this store. It is a great example of complete Inefficient process. The staff are friendly but no booking system was employed. Instead they seem to use scraps of paper with names and times scribbled on behind the desk. There was a constant queue at the cash point. People accompanying customers were scattered everywhere, speaking loudly, walking around the shop while my initial assessment was taking place. The examination was good but the examination room and waiting areas are out of date and need a good clean. After the examination I was told a colleague of the examiner would be with me shortly so that I could buy a pair of glasses. After a good twenty minutes waiting, I left without buying glasses even though they were recommended as every pair I reached for were so dirty, I couldn't actually see out of most of them. After reaching for around 25 pairs, I gave up and left without being seen to by the colleague who was one of two/three staff members behind the counter. There was no one on the floor throughout. As I read what I have written about this experience it becomes even more ridiculous. Stay away.

Appalling service. Staff are far too busy conversing and giggling to themselves to actually serve customers who enter the store. One could understand if they were busy serving customers but they are just entertaining themselves. I wouldn't trust them with the health or testing of my eyes either, given how unproffesional the staff are.

Where is Billy Maynard ? when i came to collect my glasses another staff member said he has left the business Well when i first came to Specsavers Statford on the 01st of march 2019 i was having all sorts of problems as im not the easiest of people to get along with, and unfortunately no one seem to know what was going on but Billy on the other hand sat me down for a good 20 minutes so i could explain what was going on he was fantastic made me feel very warm and comfortable. he gave me so much confidence in to buying new glasses as a first time Varifocal wearer the way he explains things are second to none. what an asset he was to this store great guy i loved his famous saying - are you living the dream - and his people skills are excellent he always had a smile on his face. thank you for your great service Billy wish you all the success in life you carry on being that lovely helpful man.

I booked an appointment at Stratford, but due to a glitch, the appointment was not on their system. The Store Manager was very professional and ensured, as I had made the effort that I was seen as soon as possible even without the appointment. The Manager is a credit to your store. Thanks.

i had a emergence with my glasses (broken) , and i went to the shop to try to get same help , to see if was possible to be fixed in the moment otherwise i would have to wait around 2 weeks to get a new ones with new prescription . Mr Shaq was very attentive and help full doing a extra mile to fixed the glasses ,and also ordering a new prescription . Thank you very much ! Staff 5*****

Two stars only because the optometrist was actually professional and knowledgable. The rest of the staff is a joke...overall service is a joke... two hours of my life wasted forever. Meanwhile in Vission Express across the road all is possible and there's hot chocolate. Avoid at all cost.

I'm their customer for a year now.. Never had issues tbh. I've changed my delivery address, my direct debit details plus that I made few appointments over the phone. Everything worked out good for me. The customer services was good. Although there are few people in there which can be called rude, but that's everywhere. Anyway, I have nothing bad to add to this review. Keep it up! You guys are doing a great job.

I bought a pair of glasses from specsavers at the Stratford branch it was easy to book an appointment online and I went for my appointment the next day. I was late and rang customer service to say I was running late and didn't have long to wait. I was seen by a young ophthalmologist who was quick and thorough and she signposted me to one of her colleagues on the shop floor to help try glasses on. The person assigned to help me marched off without excuse or explanation to take payment from another customer and I was left waiting long after I identified glasses that fit me. He finally returned to me and took payment and promised to call me when my glasses arrived. A week later I called specsavers collections service in Stratford to collect my glasses; the phone rings forever then goes off; no one answers. Tried correct number a few times over a period of 2 weeks and the phone would ring until it goes off by itself. Finally I went to the store in Stratford and explained to the customer service person that I have been trying for nearly 3 weeks to speak to someone in collections for my glasses and is getting no reply and came by to check if my glasses are in the store; her reply. 'OK. What is your date of birth?' She punched a few numbers into the computer and my details came up and she exclaimed: 'Yes, your glasses are here I will get them for you.' She went to fetch my glasses, I tried them on and left the store. She didn't apologise or care or empathise I have waiting for the glasses for 3 weeks and I rang their collections department several times and got no help from anyone. I will never use specsavers in Stratford again. My experience and impressions is that the customer service at the Stratford branch is unhelpful not empathic to my concerns and uncaring. Not satisfactory. Ordered a couple of glasses for my son. One of which broke within a week. When I went for a repair, they denied doing that. In another hand, one of my colleagues broke his glass bought from Vision Express (without insurance) and broke almost a year later. They changed the frame without any fees.

Very poor and unorganised customer service. The optometrist was very friendly and chatty, however I did not receive all of the tests I was supposed to. After my appointment there were no staff available on the floor to take over and assist me with choosing/purchasing glasses. I waited 20 minutes and left. I came in ready to purchase two pairs of designer frames and left with nothing. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I wish I could give it no stars. I decided to go to Specsavers after receiving great care from them in Australia. When I went into this one, not only did they disrespect the practices of Australian optometrists, they also gave me reading glasses when I can read things up close just fine. I was prescribed multifocals in Australia because I have a focussing problem, but they did not care and insisted I must have single lense. Then after complaining I could not see distances, they remade them, and again I had the same issue. In the end, they told me I was wrong, that they weren't reading glasses, and I just need to adjust to them, so they sent me away. I gave up trying and waited until I returned to Australia in the beginning of the year. I went straight in to my Specsavers here where they tested my glasses and said "Yeah, these would be great if you don't want to see distances". I finally have a multifocal prescription that helps my focussing and allows me to see things far away, with no thanks to this Specsavers.
