I regret having gone to this place for glasses. First they made the wrong glasses for the prescription and promised to make correct ones soon. But I am still waiting after 9 days thereon. I am asked to call after a week. But they took all the money upfront. I am considering cancelling the order and requesting a refund.

I've been with Specsavers for over fifteen years. Initially I was with the Ilford branch where the service was lovely. Really nice, friendly and warm people there. Stratford branch however, is seriously lacking. I've encountered rudeness on numerous occasions, both in person and on the phone. They once made a mistake with updating my contact lenses and when I bought it up with the guy at the counter, he was very short with me and said 'oh the lady who made the mistake has been fired so it's not my fault.' How unprofessional! And no empathy whatsoever! And then when I tried to get him to fix it, he said it wasn't possible and when I said I wanted to speak to the manager, he said she would say the same thing. I insisted on seeing the manager and she finally came and sorted the problem out and when I told her he had wasted my time, she also cut me short and showed me the door. I also tried to book an eye test as my one of my eyes had changed and as I still had a year to go until my next test, the lady on the phone put up resistance, saying I should wear my glasses and see if I have the same issue. I insisted there was an issue with my eye and as a direct debit customer, I have the right to come in for an eye test earlier if I feel like my sight has changed. She then went on to say she had to speak to the optometrist to confirm before she could book me in. What kind of a stupid system is that? I am now looking for other opticians to join as I no longer trust these rude, incompetent baboons to manage my eye care.

Absolutely disgusting service, we came here for my sons appointment and was told the appointment isnt showing on their system. We have confirmation of booking and it has been a waste of our time. Management at Stratford specsavers is poor, i will never come back to this store again.

Very bad service. They don’t care about customers. The bald guy keep telling me 2mins. I waited 30 mins unattended because I was repairing my glasses and it was free. They attended 2 people before me who were buying. Very poor service.

I was in the store last Saturday , 16th to fix my loose specs and my moms. Got them back saying that they were fixed. My one is defective as my ears and my head are hurting me so bad wearing the glasses. Not done at all. Moms one is as bad as before.

The WORST SERVICE EVER!!! They made me go 3 different times in 2 weeks, and I totally waist my time. The first time they told me was free then they tried really hard to make me pay, of course I didn't. The second time they gave me 2 appointments together so I could do eye visit and contact lenses visit together in the same day, and they only could the eye visit. Then they made me go a third time for lenses visit and when arrived, the technician was on holidays so they told "It's impossible you have an appointment today!" HORRIBLE customers service. NEVER EVER I'll go here again and suggest you not to go either.

Terrible level of service. My lensmail order was put on hold but I was not informed and so I am now left without contact lens prescription I had paid for. I moved from the Allerton Road, Liverpool store which was always fantastic to this one where I have been left severely underwhelmed.

Very unreliable, horrible customer service, incompetent staff. I had incorrect glasses made in a different Specsavers franchise and came to this one because I recently moved. It took me 3 visits along with countless phone calls and emails just to get my eyes rechecked. They were promising things and not delivering. I had to explain the problem I had every single time. None of their representatives understood the problem I described very clearly (I went to different opticians and they understood it immediately). They claimed that the original prescription and the glasses were correct, however, I compared the prescription they found with the glasses and it was definitely not the same. In the end, after wasting so much of my time, they told me to go back to the franchise where I had these glasses made. Overall, avoid all Specsavers.

Even if you have nothing wrong with your eyes, these con artists will persuade you that you need a pair. Every pair of glasses I have bought from them has been great in the shop but as soon as I step outside I can't see down the road. I blame the cheap pentax lenses.

I have been with David Clue Low for eight years and just this time switched to Specsavers Stratford. The experience is extremely bad, I found them merely unprofessional and below standard. I don't know how many more times I have to visit them to get my glasses correct and collect.:(

needed anti glare (30 pound each) on both glasses . Asked them to make antiglare for free on one of them and pay the other one (still paid 130 quid!!!) . Said no. It's a lucky thing it s a budget franchising .. at walthamstow they work much better

Very poor customer service, staff behaviours are inappropriate(espisially guys are wearing suite with little bearded ) .i had to wait 2 hours to see a member of staff and at the end my lance has incorrect vision, after twice fixing they couldn't not put right vision in my sunglasses. With my sunglasses everything I see brown, it doesn't give true colour. I strongly recommend not to visit this branch. Staff need customer service training, especially senior team meamber.

After eye test got it wrong, asked me to come on Sunday to rectify but forgot to mention the lab tech don't work on Sundays. Eventually got new glasses replaced and still not happy but the process to rectify takes too long, so far spent close to SIX hours. cheaper to go somewhere else and get it right first time.

Oh dear poor Stratford Spacesavers !!! Well honestly I’ve been over there just picking up my glasses Stratford „Spacesavers “end the service is absolutely disgusting I mean one of the staff was telling me that she can’t understand me I think she wasn’t absolutely interested in the business , she send me to another guy so she could carry on talking with her colleague , then he was repeating everything what I just said already end pretending that he’s smart so a have to tell him to stop it .Definetly you have to improve in Stratford “Spacesavers “ would recommend change the whole staff is useless and rude , I am so upset .If I were you I won’t put them back in business. Why ? I’ve been served in Fleet “Spacesevers” so I can compare it , these guys from Fleet absolutely amazing the whole team very professional end genuinely lovely . Any way that is telling you something when I just went to pick up my glasses so I spend about 8 minuets in the Stratford Spacesavers end got this disgusting feeling about customer service , absolutely unacceptable customer staff end management !!! Very disappointed that we the customers have to deal with this kind of people !!! Very toxic customer service and atmosphere to be with !!! Start do something about it !!! Highly not recommend the Spacesavers at Stratford centre !!! Sack them all end do not return to business at all write their names end remember it . Do not employ this people in any customer service. I worked for specsavers stratford. the management team are dishonest and have absolutely no moral integrity towards customers and their colleagues. they have absolutely no other eyes than money. with in 4weeks they fired around 15 people of a team of under 40 people. most of those people were the ones with the conscious to refuse to sell glasses to vulnerable people whom in many cases do not need glasses or eye test. it is really shame this type of business is operating in England.

The most incompetent people I have every had to deal with. Demanding I pay them £45 for contact lenses from November 2015 when I have a DD set up on their lensmail scheme. I was receiving contacts as recently as June 2016. Supposedly I'm in the wrong and owe them money for their contact lenses. Contacted my bank and they confirmed my suspicions that the DD was active but became inactive in june 2016 because they had not bothered to take the money from my account. So I'm being penalised for their stupidity! The so called manager wouldn't even write off the £45. I have been a loyal customer for years and this is how I'm treated?! They even prescribed me the wrong lenses in my glasses and was told this at a sight test a month ago by the same person who conducted the sight test in 2015. You can't fix stupid! Specsavers need to stop franchising because this is the BS it's customers have to go through!!!!

This place is an absolute mess. So badly organised. No one informs you of your contact lense appointments. How you find out will be not receiving contact lenses and after 3 phone calls somehow they figure out what is wrong. My girlfriend went for an eye test and was told her eyes were getting better only to get home and discover she still had a contact lense in. Even after checking her eyes health she didn't see it. Absolute mess but sometimes order you too many contact lenses.

This place has gotten from worse to worse as time goes on. The service staff are absolutely the opposite of what service you expect to get from such eatablishment. The people on the phone to you, lie to cut the story short. The optometrist asked to come see her in the evening to pick up my lenses. Just before i went i thought id call the store to confirm with her if it is in stock to save a wasted journey. The lady down the phone told me a complete lie saying that particular optometrist was not in. When i told her she is definitely in as ive seen her and she told me to come see her, the lady suddenly apologised and acted as if she hadnt seen her, when i witnessed them be in the presence of each other. Unreliable and disgusting customer service, im extremely dissapointed. All service staff should be sacked. However, the optometrists, meryam and banu are the best staff ever! The only 2 keeping the business running if i say so myself

And She made me feel welcomed and you could see she was helping customers straight away, making sure they were looked after. I think I've been coming to this Specsavers for about 10years now. And I much prefer the new store they moved into as it does seem more organised. Thank you Chantelle.

Really TERRIBLE AND RUDE customer service. I've been with the Stratford branch for a year now and the journey started off bumpy but I didn't want to write a bad review then. First I had my eye test and the optician was lovely, everything seemed to be fine. I ordered my lenses and was told they would arrive within a few working days. When I didn't receive any information about the lenses I called the store and was informed a mistake had been made. So I ordered them again. I had to call the store and visit it numerously over the period of 3 weeks until my lenses finally arrived. I had really big problems at work as I need good eyesight in my line of work and my boss kept telling me off for not having lenses. When I finally received them, they were fine. I set up a direct debit and everything was ok until I was forced to make contact with specsavers again. I needed to change my address as I moved and wanted to cancel the solutions from my order. The lady on the phone was extremely unhelpful and very disintrested, I could literally feel her yawning over the phone. I gave my new address and was a bit suspicious as she didn't seem to write it down whatsoever. When I asked about cancelling solutions (which is only £3 extra btw but I have like 9 already), she cut me short and said she had to find out if was possible and that she would call me back. It seemed weird as well as it's my money and I choose how to spend it. Surprise surprise- she DIDN't call me back. And a few days ago my lenses WITH solutions were delivered to my OLD address. I was furious! It's very inconveniet for me to go back to my old address as it's quite far. I called Specsavers again today and found out my address hasn't been changed in the first place. I found it very hard to stay polite really but the lady on the phone seemed to be more helpful. DON'T be bothered to go to that store, the service is HORRIFIC and they don't give a damn about their customers!!!! I will be looking for a different optician as every encounter with Specsavers Stratford was nothing but a struggle!!

I had a maternity card and still had to pay for an eye test. They gave me a small prescription and said to wear glasses if I'm tired and watching the TV. They then tried to sell me expensive frames. No thanks. If I'm tired I won't be watching the TV I will be going to bed.
