Truly awful. After all this time it's still a struggle to work out the logistics. I don't think I've ever been told to go upstairs and downstairs, sit down and stand up, wait for another person to describe my scenario to and get told off for standing in the wrong place numerous times! Avoid at all costs.

just really wanted to take some time to say a very big thank you to the very beautiful smart and intelligent nabila. She attended to me and my mom who visited the store and explained what lens options were available the benefits of going for them and the disadvantage of not going for them and really went out of her way to support us both. my mom has a disability not allowing her to get up by herself but before I could even go over nabila gave my mum her hand and helped her get up as well as giving her a shoulder to lean on when choosing frames and even bringing some to the table. I really wish her the best in her degree and I’m sure one day she will become someone very successful because of her loving character and her beautiful self. we really appreciate you and can’t wait to collect the glasses

This Specsavers is fantastic. A lovely gentleman called Besil helped me out and fixed my glasses with a smile. The staff in general are always friendly and attentive. Standout service and a jewel on The lane.

Friendly staff a little slow to serve in part because it's a busy shop, they probably need a bigger one.
They did however work hard to get my glasses ready earlier than they had said so that I could take them on holiday, very helpful.
Some staff feel like they are trying to up sell (don't take advantage would've got a 5 if not for this) not serve/help, others seem to really want what's best.

I visited Specsavers on 23rd March 2019, for a contact lens test. Everything was going fine until I had to go into the private room with a lady, who said she would check the health of my eyes. She put an eye drop in my eye, and then wanted to put a full size cotton bud under my eyelid - talking about she wanted to see if there were any lumps under my eye lid.
I sat an let her attempt this task, however she grabbed my actual false lashes and was pulling them to lift up my eyelid. This was incredibly painful, and I said so. She then said she wouldn’t do the test.
It was only after i left, I began to think was she really supposed to do that. You trust these people with your eyes, and expect them to know what they are doing, but to try and rip my false lashes off and push a dry johnson’s Cotton bud under my eye lid is that really scientific. I’m glad the test didn’t take place.
Everyone else in the store was helpful and friendly and I was treated well, the reason for the low mark, was because of the stupid woman who wanted to shove objects under my eye lid, and drag off my false eyelashes.

The staff are working hard to do well despite being busy and in a very tight space. Seemed to have overbooked appointments leading to a wait of over an hour. Perhaps need to improve the system to ensure people are seen closer to their appointment time. The people are professional and pleasant however.

Manager here is not reasonable. Wouldn't help a customer (my 9 year old son) to repair of pair of frames where there is a manufacturer fault. If you are in the market for a pair of kids optical frames - AVOID this branch or Specsavers at all cost. They will be all smiles when making a sale and taking your money but will be useless when you need help.

Shockingly rubbish
I had the misfortune to deal with this bunch of unprofessional people who work for Speaksavers branch in Peckham. Besides stealing my money for a pair of glasses which was rubbish (I had paid for special glasses which are damaged for an unknown reason- most likely to utterly rubbish quality), they also damaged my pair of sunglasses which they were meant to simply clean for me. How can people like this be employed and paid is a mystery and the worst misfortune for us ex-customers.

The eye test was fine and the staff upstairs we're friendly my issue was after the eye test when me and my mum had to go and pick our glasses . One of the staff members called Moses came over to help and he was horrible and rude to my mum , he purposely stressed my mum out and then told her to calm down and was smirking the whole time!! I was fuming and wanted to tell Moses about himself but my mum didn't want me to cause a scene . He's just a horrible person he wasn't helpful at all he was just rude .

Went asking for help as my contacts were destroyed and I drive for a living. Not only did they refuse to help, they had lost all of my records. Truly horrific, I wouldn't trust them in any regard with my eye care.

I called up for an appointment and was given an early one, when I arrived for my appointment I was seen to within ten minutes, considering how busy the store was. The front house staff where very friendly and informative on the procedure to obtain the prescription. And how the technologies the machines use to analies your eyes work. Also I liked the fact there was a diverse range of culture in the staff team which matches how vibrant Peckham is.
I would recommend Peckham savers to anyone. Very friendly and attentive staff.
