I recommend to visit this place to every music lover tourist wandering in Soho. Head up to the first floor and get amazed by the large wooden room packed with vintage pianos. I don't know any other place where you can respectfully seat at some of the most beautiful old grandpianos on sale I have ever seen and play them for free. Everything looks important and some kind of sacred, but it's not a posh place! The staff is always available for any question, even if you're not going to buy even a guitar chords book! Honestly, this is more than just a piano store...

The shop has some awesome equipment, however the sales person I approached had no interest in serving me. I asked for advice and he was very short and disinterested, apart from him the shop is great.

Perfect for seeing and hearing what's new in thd yamaha world. Staff are great and don't make you feel like your intruding if you make it obvious that your not there to buy something.

Very helpful but laidback staff.
Gabriele let my daughter spend as much time as she needed with the guitar, no pressure sales tactics, even when we went back a second time!
We weren't in a position to buy today but he didn't mind and gave me his card to do it over email, and he'll post it to Scotland

Awesome store. Who knew Yamaha made so much music. I knew they did a lot, but this was crazy to see. Go here, play the guitars, be amazed at the price and quality. Who cares if it's from Indonesia, the quality is better than a lot of USA made I own.

Beautiful building. Wanted music sheet for the Sound of Music, called in advance all was prepared for my arrival 30 mins later. Plus the lady has researched about the differences of the 3 versions of the same sheet. Building in 18th or 19th century style. Very grand

Used to be so much better when it was Chappells. Sheet music is now an after thought in a back room, staff don’t really shown interest and if they do have no knowledge of the stock unless your looking at instruments. A real shame as this used to be my go to music shop. Schott down the road is the best place now.

Three floors - the Yamaha flagship UK store. It's all there!
Top floor is my favourite - a fantastic selection of the best Bosendorfer, and Yamaha grand pianos.
Ground floor is consumer electric pianos, sheet music, and pro gear in the basement.
