I just received my new Yamaha YUS1 trans-acoustic piano, which plays as responsively as I would expect and sounds powerfully brilliant. During the whole process of purchasing the piano, the customer service from the Yamaha Music London team has been top quality and highly supportive. I want to give a particular shout out to Marco, who (from the outset) was extremely welcoming, provided thorough explanations of all available products, helped identify the piano best suited to my requirements and then ensured the purchase flowed as smoothly as possible, culminating in the swift and safe delivery of the product once ready. I will be going back to this shop again in future, although I’m sure this piano will last a very long time!

Bad Service & racist behaviour towards my Indian friends who visited the store today at Central London. While I was talking to my friends over a video call while there were at the store, the staff were speaking quite rudely to them. I was amazed to over hear the rude conversation and could not imagine that a Yamaha showroom would handle customers like that. I have been purchasing Yamaha guitars and other Yamaha instruments & mixer consoles since the last 15 years but this is the first time I have come across service like this. Folks all I’m trying to say is please do continue to buy Yamaha products because they as great but be cautious of the store you buy it from because customer service is part of the whole purchase experience!

Arrogant customer service representative as I tried to use their online chat tool. I decided to buy my flute from somewhere else just because of the attitude that person has in the end! Explanation was I am offended as no offense meant , somethings are just lost in the chat??? I do not recommend.

I bought YAMAHA CLP - 745PE from Yamaha music London. Excellent customer service service from Marco and Silas. I never though I would receive the product with in 3 days. If you want to buy a piano quickly call Yamaha London and ask for Marco.

I challenge any pianist to go to Yamaha and not spend hours trying out the wonderful pianos! Marco's help and advise regarding pianos and my requirements was extremely helpful! He also provided space for me to try out the different pianos and think through the options while being available when I had additional questions. I couldn't be happier with my piano and the service provided.

Yamaha music is in one of the nicest buildings in Soho. There is a very grand staircase as you enter. The main floor has a range of guitars, pianos, trumpets etc. Upstairs has all the grand pianos which look great and also a music book room which is what brought us there. We managed to find a good piano tutorial book which we purchased for a reasonable price. The staff helped us find this. Downstairs has a great selection of drums both normal and electric. The rest of the floor was filled with electric, acoustic and bass guitars. They also has various stuff like picks and stuff like that. This was one of the only shops selling music stuff open at 430 on a sunday so although the only option we had we managed to get what we were looking for and would definitely go back for our music needs once again.

This is a review on a low rating I gave Yamaha Music London due issues I had with a delivery.
It was a very frustrating situation and it caused some upsetting to a 7 years old expecting her piano. However, the way Yamaha sorted the situation was remarkable. Those guys are not just good in producing instruments, they also create the ideal setting for you to follow those dreams and wishes in becoming a musician, whatever stage and age you are.
Yamaha is a serious company and focused in producing music and talents. And the store is a candy shop for those who want to play music professionally or for a hobby.

To be honest the place is great. I literally just wanted to go to play for a bit but I kept getting interrupted by the workers, but they were very nice and they had a lot of knowledge. I would of liked to have played a little longer but I had to go because I ran out of excuses. They were higienic as well, the kept cleaning the pianos.

We had a great experience at this store where we tried out different digital pianos. The shop assistant was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and gave us detailed information about the different models.
Despite coronavirus they still allow people to play the instruments with lots of hand sanitiser provided in store.

I received very good advice and help from Pars (aka Krunch) with my purchase of a Yamaha P-125 Keyboard, even tough this was done virtually because of lockdown, he was very quick in replying and gave fair info and price.
Delivery of the item was quicker than expected, this was via UPS, so 5 stars to them as well :)
We expected the item to be delayed because of Covid-19, however it was a pleasant surprise when it arrived Monday morning, basically after just 1 working day i.o the expected 4-7 working days.
All in all we had a great experience and the item is of top quality as expected from a Yamaha product.

I'm sorry but why put pianos for display if you can't even play them the staff kept complaining that they couldn't hear the people on the phone when people were playing so they said to go upstairs to play. THE STAFF UPSTAIRS SAID WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY LIKE YOU CAN TELL NONE OF THEM APPRICIATE MUSIC THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT PEOPLE WHO BUY. WHY PUT A PHONE NEXT TO A PIANO RUDE STAFF! if ur looking to try out pianos please don't come here...

I bought a wonderful piano at Yamaha Music London. During the process of purchasing, I was impressed by the assistance provided by Gianmarco Agosta, the responsible for piano department. Gianmarco was incredibly effective and helpful in advising and getting the right piano for me directly from Japan, during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also took care of all the practical details of delivery. Bravo Gianmarco, top-notch assistance and 5 stars rating!!!

Last Saturday morning we met Marco, the Piano Manager at the beautiful Yamaha Music London. Frankly speaking, we prepared for a kind of "window shopping", not really ready to get one right away. However, magic things can really happen even when you are not prepared for them: Marco presented all the upright pianos in his well articulated ways and within one hour's time, we were much convinced with Yamaha YUS3 Silent Upright. Hard to trust any business guide at any shop so easily, but Marco had explained the pros and cons of each type so honestly that we were not hesitating to take his advice and bought the piano within 2-3 hours' time. What impressed us next was that our piano is now in our living room as Marco promised....everything happened in 72 hours! Excellent quality of this YUS3 Silent Upright and excellent service of the Piano Manager. Believe or not: We bought the Piano so very quickly, really because of Marco.

Recently came here to purchase a violin and my previous review of 5 stars has now dropped to 2 stars.
At first the staff kindly allowed me to try out several violins and bows. I chose an intermediate violin. The man, (Initials LC) helped us gladly and said there are plenty in stock and they will give us a brand new violin upon purchasing. We paid the price and he told us that he was giving the used violin that was on display that people had tried out, and a really old case with several scratches when he lied to us telling us that they had plenty in stock! Absolutely disappointing; upon complaining about him lying to us, he replied angrily that most people just take it from the display and go, which we both know is not correct!
After complaining several times, he went and came back with a 'new' violin, apologising and blaming it on another co-worker for all of it. He still refused to give us a new violin case, despite telling us he had plenty in stock!
We left angrily, feeling cheated.
Please be careful and make sure you're not being cheated on.
Bought a piano here several years ago, before these lying, cheating and horrible staff came along and that was speedy and much better, unlike what the staff are like now.
Staff and bad experience aside, there are plenty of variety of instruments, and it is a great place to purchase an instrument whether you are a beginner, intermediate or professional!

The person talked to me sounded as if he is not interested and the call lasted less than 20 secs . earlier i have purchased items from the store online. Not any more. I'm rating the quality of customer service as poor.

I called into the store yesterday evening to check stock of a guitar in person and was helped by Jake, who checked stock 3 different times on the shop floor and managed to find alternatives of what I was looking for and explained the whole process to me. I went into the store and asked for Jake again, who was incredibly helpful and very understanding of the fact that I hadn't played guitar before, answered my sometimes very obvious (almost stupid) questions professionally and had played the guitar for a few minutes so I can hear how it sounds in person. He showed me how to tune it and did it for me and prepared the strings for me, which I was really thankful for as I didn't want to be troubled by that the first time I tried to play it, and he packed it into a case for me with all the contents inside. He was very patient with the finance process as things had taken a bit longer than usual, and while that was going on I had talked to a few other employees who I couldn't catch the name of but they were all so nice and didn't rush me at all! I was going to buy the guitar online from a different seller and only intended on hearing it in store, but had decided I'd rather buy from here as I felt like I'd gotten a great service and I'm so glad I got it from here. The guitar sounds amazing too! Left excited to learn to play thanks to Jake's help and I couldn't be happier with it all! Thank you!

The staff were so helpful! I called with many questions and was helped immensely in making the right choice for our musical needs. I made my purchase online and follow up inquiries, I made through email, were immediately answered. I can’t wait to visit the store in person, but even if you can’t, their customer service is exceptional!! My items arrived within the week.

Always hit and miss in this shop. Downstairs staff are polite and helpful, and never pushy for a sale. I was able to try out some of their digital pianos as long as one uses hand sanitizer before touching the keys. The story changed dramatically when I went upstairs and tried out the 80k Bössendorfer; the rude sales person told me off and said that instruments were on display only, when nothing indicated that. They won't definitely get my money! Guess he was upset because he had to work on a Bank Holiday. Like I said, your experience trying out the acoustic pianos will pretty much depend on who is doing the upstairs shift

Went there two days in a row to buy a guitar and left with nothing. First day the assistant downstairs was actually from the piano section and was supposedly covering for a colleague who’d called in sick. Couldn’t tell me the price of unlabeled guitars, didn’t have the key to unlock the instruments off the wall, couldn’t even tell me the model numbers to search online and had no access to the store room. Basically he was there to make sure I didn’t steal anything but was of no help when it came to purchase anything. Returned the next day, was made to wait 30mins and was then told the gentleman in the queue behind me had been in the store for ‘quite some time’ and was skipped over.
I would’ve thought that in the current dire economic environment any store would be happy to serve a paying customer but clearly not this place. I exited the store and won’t go back a third time. Go to Guitar Guitar in Camden instead, at least they recognize that you want to give them business.

I really like this shop because it has a good range of Yamaha electronic drum kits as well as the accessories. The staff are very friendly and are very knowledgeable. My favourite thing of all is that they allow to play on the kit even if you have only come in to browse.
