Awesome place. Everything Yamaha from orchestral through to guitars and pianos. The grand piano hall upstairs is every pianist's heaven!

Martin was so helpful on the phone when we wanted to buy our son his first electric guitar for Christmas and we were struggling to get the one we wanted. Couldn’t believe when it arrived “ up north” by 3pm the next day! Who needs amazon when you can get that sort of service and delivery speed even in the busy season? Highly recommended.

Visit the store 2 weeks ago to buy a guitar, which I did. Mr Krunch is the Team Leader and a guitar teacher and was very helpful to find the guitar that suits me. I am very happy with my acoustic guitar. They also have sometimes free guitar courses for beghiners in weekends.

I REALLY appreciated how helpful and patient Phil and Marco were on the phone today. I rang up about a couple of enquiries to do with my faulty sustain pedal as well as recording in Logic Pro X. Phil really took the time to walk me though the software and try different things out despite it not necessarily being Yamaha's sponsored DAW software. These guys go the extra mile to help people out!! Purchased a brilliant Yamaha p-125 from them last summer :)

Great place, looks more like a museum that a music store. I've had the occasion to try many Yamaha Revstar guitars, the staff is always professional and ready to answer to any request. Great section of pianos, too.

You get to play the instruments kept there and it's pretty awesome to see the amazing range they had for piano and synthesizer.

Great service. In particular, Philip Hankins was extremely helpful in deciding on my instrument & amplifier. Great combination of technical expertise and bags of patience for a customer who wanted to try every option! Thank you.

Call before you travel A check of the website showed a vast range of Yamaha recorders marked as IN STOCK, so I thought it was worth the train fare to buy in person. They have no recorders on display, and I was told that they had only descant and alto/treble in stock. Fine, I was after a treble. Only 3 were brought out from the stock room , and not the one that I was hoping to try out. Don't even bother going if you want a Tenor or Bass !

Best products and helpful staff. The price in store sometimes higher than their website. Ask for price matching.

Quick and easy, if you know your instruments!! They give good offers if you know how to find. And upstairs there is a beautiful piano showroom and a small library of musical history and music. Not only that they have ROCK and ROLL downstairs. So it's awesome!!

Great store and friendly, helpful staff. Was shown round by Alex. I spent an hour or so trying out one digital piano I liked - headphones were supplied (useful if you are self-conscious like me). Got a good deal on a combo order (verified it was cheaper than online). Also loads of great other pianos, gizmos and toys to look at and a very beautiful grand piano showroom upstairs.

I love this store. It's so lovely and soothing and the customer service reps are not in your fave face constantly. Visited with my brother who was looking for a piano and they let him play two songs on the piano and only checked on us once to find out if we need anything. Same with the drums in the basement (there's headphones for the drums so we weren't disturbing anyone). We loved the store!!!!!!

I had excellent service from YML. I ordered a new piano, Marco was very helpful on the telephone, not pushy , good communication throughout and the piano was delivered promptly without any flaws or issue . I would recommend Yamaha London to anyone with a passion for their instrument .

Place is amazing and have the world's largest Yamaha collection. Bought a pacific 122v electric guitar after spending 6 hours selecting this guitar. Marco assisted us during these 6 hours and was very patient and gave us a great discount at the end. Best place to buy a guitar from.

I was here for the music lesson they offered in March, and it was terrific. The pianos are mindblowing, perfect to help you learn and sounds marvellous. Definitely, a place to visit (and obviously a place to buy instruments, far much better than on the internet).

Phil is literally the best person in the world! Helped me with buying a piano over the phone as I couldn’t get to the store, and also made it so easy and was so helpful with pricing information. I’m so made up with my DGX660 and couldn’t have done it without Phil!

This shop is one of my favourite places in the world. As a music lover and a pianist it makes my heart so happy! The downstairs section is modern and upstairs is a stunning wood boarded room filled with pianos that can be played and viewed. Love it!

Very knowledgeable, I went in to talk guitars and came out with triple the knowledge and a bag full of accessories. Not the cheapest place to buy Yamaha guitars as they cannot compete with the online retailers when they have so much prime West End floor space but if you buy a guitar there you can rest assured that you'll get the best after sale back-up and they tune and service on site. Definite 5 stars...

Great selection of gear and friendly knowledgeable staff. Nice that everything isn't locked onto the walls, so you can grab most guitars under £1.5k and give them a go. Much preferred to places where you have no autonomy while browsing.

Salespeople here, specifically Marco, were very helpful. The store was clean and well organized. Zero complaints about my recent visit here. Well worth a visit if you find some time to kill while out and about in Soho.

Awesome music store with wide collection of instruments. However, if you are going on a weekend, plan it well as they close early around 4pm. Hidden inside one of the lanes, I chanced upon it as I was going for breakfast at another famous breakfast destination.

The place is very nice and alot of different things to get piano/guitar wise, but the staff are rude and wont let you try anything thats a bit pricey unless you plan on buying the instrument right then and there. Wanted to try a pricey classical guitar but staff said i couldnt unless i planned to buy it. Why would i buy something i hadn't tried.

This place is way too fun for musicians. As a guitarist, I can try out dozens of model, including some I could never hope to afford. Helpful and knowledgeable staff can answer all of your questions and advise you on instrument choice, accessories, maintenance and equipment. Even cooler is that they periodically offer free lessons on a host of different instruments with accomplished teachers. My son really enjoyed his violin lesson, and I had a bass guitar lesson with the great Mete Ege. The place makes you want to learn more instruments and make music.

Visited a few months back to buy an acoustic guitar. Thursday late night shopping with an in store band playing a gig. Nice to listen to but not ideal if you want to test and buy a guitar! Would have been ok if staff had engaged with me and taken me upstairs with some guitars but they were more interested in the gig. Bought my Yamaha elsewhere. Great guitars.

I went to the store to try out trumpets, the web site showed that they had a lot in stock. Whilst they had a lot of student models there were only 4 pro models available to try. So my journey into London on the train was a wasted day. The guy who served me was helpful but was limited in what he could show me due to the lack of stock. I would recommend calling first if you want to try anything!
