Really helpful, and made me feel very comfortable asking questions as a new violinist. Very pleased with the service; the gentleman fixed my string, helped with another problem and they sorted out everything within 40 minutes, and called me to come and pick it up. Very friendly and knowledgeable, will reccomend!

What a wonderful gem of a place Dots is for musicians! My daughter's cello had suffered a severe damage a week before her recitals and John was so kind to make time to repair it in such a short period of time. Everyone is so thoughtful and understanding with knowledge of all things music, why go anywhere else. Thank you so much!!

Fantastic! I've been going here for years, they recently changed hands but still the same great experience. Not only do they have a good range of stock (especially considering its a small shop!) but they are always happy to give great advice, and also they can repair instruments. if they can't do it, they'll find you someone who can. Can't fault them

Have bought loads of sheet music, reeds and sets of strings over the years - not to mention stands, accessories, organising instrument repair ... and I couldn't be happier. The family and staff at Dots are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and the shop is reasonably priced; it really doesn't get any better than this! And if you happen to drop in at just the right time, you'll get offered a home-made biscuit or flapjack from the plateful on the counter, too :-)

The proprietors are knowledgeable, helpful and pleasantly engaging - no patronising Tin Pan Alley store attitudes here. Genuine music lovers. A small shop that deserves to be supported. Their in-house luthier and guitar tech - Enrico Savoncelli - is patient and does excellent setup, repairs and restoration work. My go-to music shop.
