I would like to say thank you to everyone at Slovak Embassy who made me very welcomed on the day of my appointment.thank you very much for a wonderful first impression as soon as I walked in I was seen by a wonderful gentleman at the reception. When I came back I was seen by a wonderful lady who helped me with all of my enquiries and she was very professional and kind. They did all and more what I came for. The staff is rude and doesn't know their manners. When you contact them by email they dont explain and dont guide you what they need from you and after that when you come to visit them they are extremely rude and aggressive towards you. Absolutely a joke.

Thank God for the brilliant, welcoming and well mannered gateman Michal! However, I was so disappointed with such an arrogant behaviour of the lady at the window and wondered how she passed through the interview and still manages to keep the job? Cross-armed and hardly looking at you, she could not express more how uninterested she is in the clients. So sad and bad to see such a representation of our country.

I never leave any review anywhere but this time I have to. I had no appointment and visited our Slovakian embassy 22 July 2019. When I got there already they had quite a lot people waiting outside without appointment. I think is Michal - sorry if I got your name wrong ????‍♀️ put my name down on list and advised me to return in 1 hour time. I needed verified my signature on paperwork for Slovakia bank etc.... Mrs Waller cut her lunchtime to finish it off for me. Again thank you so much guys.

Went with my disabled mum and Maria was very professional and efficient; she was kind and did all (and more) what we came for. Part of the building where they deal with clients is rubbish though, lacking basic space and facilities however personnel made up for it. Thank you Maria.

You have to book appointment well ahead but staff there are very friendly. I came 45 minutes before my appointment and I was seen straight away. I also had an appointment booked just for passport but managed to sort out ID as well. Quick and friendly staff.

I was really surprised to find extremely friendly and supportive staff in Slovak Embassy in London. The consul herself Katarina Stehlikova herself was serving at the counter and so polite and helpful. Not to forget the gateman Mr Michal who too was brilliant. Though the consulate was closed, staff opened the door to deliver the passports to my family following week. Great show. I am sure no other consulates deliver this kind of service. Thank you.

Staff are so nationalists and can't stand someone who doesn't speak their beloved language. They base on a UK land, live here, enjoy all of the good things around here BUT insist not to speak a word in English! Such a proud morans! Good word thought to the new guard (last one was same xxx like the staff) that make his best to be helpful. All the rest, wake up, its 2017!

Awful experience. No customer service at all. Very unhelpful every time I need to go there. On one occasion one of the lady was so rude to me (for no reason) that I left the place physically upset. Right now I have been trying to contact them for 3 weeks continuously, by calling them at least 20 times each day and the phone cuts off every time. Sent 2 emails and no answer. This is absolutely ridiculous that after 3 weeks I am still unable to contact them. My suggestion is that you give those unhelpful staff of yours some training in customer service and perhaps change management. Shameful and very backwards. Honestly I get a better service in my local McDonald's. I would love to give no stars if it was possible.

When do you intend to fix your line? Every time I try to ring I get cut off. This is a common theme in the feedback thread yet you seem to do nothing about it! It does not reflect greatly on your institution. However, once you get through and are fortunate enough to speak to Maria, happy days - most helpful lady I have spoken to! Thank you for your help, you've been brilliant!

I had a good experience there today.It's true they never answer phone or you just don't get connected but guys send them emails.They always replied to mine with all answers to my questions.So I was well prepared with my papers on the day of appointment.Very friendly and polite staff.Even when asked about something else they didn't mind to give me advice.Thank you!

Collecting passport experience: People are queuing outside or sitting on the bench outside, a bad luck if is raining. The main door is locked, appointment or not you wait outside till the person on a duty will open the door and ask “why did you come here? Or have you got an appointment?” Later you are let in. The embassy premises for genuine people are very poor, one very small room with one metal detector alarm, one long shelf for filling in forms and two windows for attending your appointments. That’s it! No waiting room or chairs to sit down, no WC or baby changing room, the access for disabled people (wheelchairs) isn’t available dispite people travel from long distances. You are welcomed by stone carved face behind the window, no smile, no “how can I help?”. These ladies who work in London Embassy thinks they have a high up job and know it all. I was asked questions but I wasn’t able to give an appropriate answer as my knowledge of their forms and paperwork is limited as it is not my job. I was bluntly informed that “I should look on internet, the website!” It’s been a long time since the communism finished in Slovakia, however today’s experience confirmed that it is still there, it’s in their manners and thinking. I was approached by arrogance and unhelpfulness, I even didn’t get “good bye” at the end, I was given my passport without a word, I sat there and the lady told me “you can go”. Shame on you Slovak Embassy for treating genuine people with arrogance, coldness and ignorance.

This embassy is a joke. They have it written in the mail name. Especially co with name that makes fun of people. Incompetent dont reply the emails ignorance is the policy. No chance to speak somebody through the phone always a line cut off. Total disgrace avoid them by all cost otherwise you will be facing greatest evil in the UK

I would like to thank and compliment two of your committed and helpful employees; a young man at the reception and your consular worker Katarina Knazovicova. They both made an extra effort to serve me despite being Friday and almost the closing time. However, I am afraid I can’t say the same about another consular worker who wouldn’t even speak to me outside her working hours.

If you want to call the embassy, be prepared to take day or two holidays for it. It's nothing more frustrating than waiting on line, while listening to the awful music and after 15 min it disconnects you. Just wonder, do they hang up on people just to have a fun? After trying to reach them for 44th time, my determination just changed to obsession. So I'll push it another 100 times an will see. I do really think about to employ a special assistant to save me some time. Or I'll pay them a visit in person next time to save some time. Btw I live 150 miles from London. Just don't call them, go there. Even if you spend 4 hours on road, it will still save you time. Btw. They don't serve tea and cookies. only my 2cc Edit: 150 calls later I'm sitting already in the car on M1. It is a shame for an government institution to have technical difficulties with phones like this.

The whole embassy gives the impression like it is stuck in the last century. I am not talking only about the décor and layout which resembles the communist era but customer service is not existing. You are unable to make an appointment online, you have to call and it sometimes takes days to get through. When you get through, stuff is extremely unhelpful and abrupt. I needed to approve few signature and they couldn't do it straight away. It took them 24 hours to approve 5 signatures. Everything they needed to do is to put strings throught the documents, check it, stamp it, fill the stamps and record it in their books. Attitude of people working there is WRONG!!! Complete disgrace.

Terrible!!! Very unpleasant experience in the embassy! Unfriendly workers, impossible to contact by phone, VERY unhelpful, extremely long waiting for an appointment and no option for pre-paid returning documents! First time I came across an embassy that I need to collect documents in person and does not accept pre paid post return. I live hrs from London and it is such a struggle!

We went to Slovak Embassy yesterday 12/6/17 and I was speechless this time. The security guy was absolutely amazing. He helped my wife to fill up all these forms, he was very polite and extremelly helpfull.Well done to him. I must mention it that i have been late for a scheduled appointment by 30 minutes due to trafic in the Central London, and that is when the security guy showed kindness by not refusing us to enter the embassy. Another person I want to thank you is the Mrs Katarina sitting behind the counter. She was another excellent worker there. She was and still is very kind, helpful and profesional with excellent customer service skills. I have absolutely amazing experience with Slovak Embassy in London.
