The standard in this store is much better than what was found in the store that used to be open closer to camberwell some years back, now this branch of CEX is 100% corporate and not a franchise so the standards of customer care and general feel of being in an professional environment is far greater than ever before. ????????????

Very bad customer service from Chaice was so busy gossiping to her other two female collegues. They where laughing there heads off gossiping not giving good customer service to me or the other people in the shop. The music in there was so loud more like a club. I Brought a phone but didn't even wanna ask her a question about it as she was to busy gossiping. Won't be going there again rubbish service rubbish staff

Three separate times now I have gone there especially to buy something that says on the CEX website is in stock at this store, I turn up, wait ages in line only for the them not to be able to find the item I came in for and i walk out empty handed.. They clearly have issues keeping track of thier stock, I get it can happen sometimes but this keeps happening to me at this particular store. I won't be back as im done wasting my time here.

As a customer I felt treated by spoilt children working behind the counter, having waited for the till system to be logged in & asked several times for my name & address when she has my ID. I patiently waited for the girl to find the disc and watched her lazy search through while talking to her working colleagues with absolutely no acknowledgement of the customer and the service instead I hear racial slurs and them not wanting to be working the job....she turned around to me with "uuuhhhhhh" I left with an exchange voucher on a disc she was incompetent to find. CeX was founded in London in 1992. They have stores in the UK, Spain, USA, Ireland, India, Australia, Portugal, Netherlands, Mexico, Poland and Canarias.
They buy, sell and exchange a range of technology and entertainment products including mobile phones, video games, DVDs and Blu-ray movies, computers, digital electronics, TVs and monitors, and music CDs.
Whether you are sellingin-store or online your items will be ‘graded’ by the CeX team in the same way. These grades are based on their cosmetic condition, their functionality and any accessories that they come with. The CeX website states that they grade products in the following way:
“All phones, tablets and hardware (excluding consoles) are graded as one of the following:
A Mint - Product in mint/new condition with original box and all original accessories.
B Good - Product in good condition with all essential accessories. No box required.
C Working - Product in poor condition and fully working with all essential accessories. No box required.
F Non-working - (Applicable for Phones and iPads only). Product must be intact and not crushed, bent, or snapped. Passes IMEI check, No accessories required. All Apple products must have the iCloud account deactivated. Non-working examples: Dead, cracked, water damage, broken/bleeding LCD (screen), not powering up, speaker/mic faults, broken aerial, etc.
Games consoles are graded as one of the following:
Boxed - Good to Mint Condition. All essential accessories. Original, first party controller of matching colour. Official box with all inserts to ensure safe transit.
Unboxed - As above, just without the box.
Discounted - Any condition but must be fully working. Chips, dents and scratches acceptable providing function is not impeded. All essential accessories, any controller. Box not required.
*some consoles may come with additional non-essential accessories. If a console does come with additional accessories, it will be mentioned in the product name/description.”

Great shop. They stay true to their “two year warranty”. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be their uniform but all the staff look like genuine gamers which is perfect for the kind of store it is. They’re always kind, happy and friendly when I go there. Quite knowledgeable in the techy stuff too as I’m clueless in that subject. The only negative is that the public cannot call directly to a store. But other than that, I would recommend.

Told to come back after an item had been processed and tested for me to trade it, I came back and was told I'd need to do something to make the item pass their criteria for trade. I came back the following day having purchased and configured an additional item as recommended, then left it with them and was told to come back later after they'd processed it again. Came back later and was told it's being marked as failed due to missing certain parts; which I'd given with the item to begin with, at this point I could guess this was an excuse for having given wrong advice about how to proceed forwards with the testing process, and to avoid awkwardness, so didn't want to make any suggestions. After leaving with the item had to go back to the shop again because the parts they said weren't included (and were the reason it apparently failed) they forgot to put back in the box. Bit of a mess, several wasted journeys and money. Can't recommend trading with this store. Not just a fault of the store but CEX need to probably outline better the stipulations for what an item must have with it (online and to their staff in their handbook)

The problem with getting old is you become invisible - a second class citizen not worthy of people's time.
Standing by the counter with a game in hand and wanting to purchase a phone.
Staff see me but perfering to chat and joke with other younger customers of their demographic.
It was on purpose, each caught my eye but chose to ignore me. Well at least their action (or lack of) helped me decide whether to buy the phone or not.
Left in discust.
I don't think this is the case of all CEX stores and unique to the Walworth Road. As every other purchase from their stores has been good.
All I can say to 50+ people is use their website so they can't discriminate on age.

I frequently visit this store and it's one of my favourite Cex stores. The games and other stuff are cheap and good quality - never had problems with something not working. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful and only once or twice there was a minor problem to sell something. All in all, I recommend this store.

Hmmm,think I've commented on this place before.But I'll do so again I would only go there if I was totally broke that's if you are intending to sell something, even if the item you're selling is high end you may find you we do not get what you may be thinking your item is worth in your eyes. I would only purchase or recommend purchasing CDs or games and be sure to check the prices you may find you could do better elsewhere some things are reasonable some things are not buyer beware and so to Sellers,,????
