Waited more than half and hour for an order. Too many people. Workers idling and working slowly. Extremely Inefficient. I wouldn't come here ever again. The stocks not being distributed in order! They just take the tickets from the crowd and distributing items, without considering who's here first. It's ridiculous!

I and a couple of other customers went there before 5pm as instructed by the email Argos sent, only to be told we can’t be served as they will close at 5pm sharp. Staff has no sense of professionalism and not helpful at all. If the email said the store might not allow customers queue after 4.50 I wouldn’t run 3 miles trying to get my order. It also shows how inefficient the store was. Very bad experience and will never come back to this store.

Don't come on the weekend unless you've already purchased online. Even then, I'm sure you have better things to do on the weekend than fight for attention. No system here in terms of purchasing something and getting it. People literally jump in front of you, flash their order receipt and fight for attention. It can't be that hard of a system where Customer A buys something before Customer B and Customer A gets their product first. Not at Argos, arbitrary af. Definitely buying from Amazon next time.

As a concept Argos is great, a large selection of products available same day. Lately it has felt like stock levels are low on some items, or maybe they have increased their catalog to offer more. Argos has now become more important as more high street shops have shut.

Worst Argos in the Universe!!! Whoever came up with the idea to make Argos digital is a Bonker (just to be polite). What a silly idea to make an order available while at the till paying for it. This innovative system failed a very first day. Before, the service was quick. Now, it sucks. Queues are endless and chaotic. Why people tend to ruin perfectly workable system by updating it for no apparent reason. I had order number 1 very early in the morning and left the shop at 25 past waiting for 20 minutes. Why change something that worked?!?!? Bloody Geniuses!

The most pleasant experience I've had by far in any retail store I've been in. Although I puchased a faulty item and was frustrated with the second journey I had to make, the staff made up for it. The amazing customer service stood out with staff putting in extra effort to serve customers. Genuine and great staff who deserve recognition from management! I was served by Afsana and other members such as a tall gentleman in glasses who assisted me in Old Street store. Thank you to them!

I have made many purchases from this, but the only time I needed to return a faulty item I received very poor customer service. The product in question was under warrant and I claimed a replacement. The store manager kept accusing me of having misused the product and so it “didn’t fall within the manufacture’s fault”. I’m not an engineer to argue if it is or not but neither Argos staff is. I found their arguments weak and arbitrary. They literally forced me to leave by saying they won’t replace it. I then contacted customer service and agreed to give me a refund. The store manager of this branch is very inconsistent and behaves poorly to customer. Shame to treat customers like this.

Do not EVER consider buying mobile protection insurance!! It's a racket between Argos and D&G insurance to frustrate you if you have to claim : - they will waste your *hours* on the phone with excuses why the claim can't be processed - once you get to the processing stage, they will again delay your claim - once you are "done" with submitting all the things you needed to (and did not need to but had to), they will take weeks to pay you - they will pay you less that you paid for the phone and in Argos vouchers so you will be out of pocket - it's been 3 hours on the phone, one extra trip to Argos, and 16 days since I started the claim but NOTHING BUT EXCUSES AND PROMISES

The man at the counter was understanding and helped me to retrieve the correct one in their system without a fuss. Thanks Argos!

I have been a client of Argos for years and it’s the worst store I have ever seen. They will hardly collaborate with you to exchange your faulty products and always try to send you to the manufacturers or find excuses to don’t take your faulty products back. Once again I have been in trouble today to exchange a faulty product in this store. The employees are always confused about what they should do and often need to call the managers for help. They do not respect the consumer right and their own policy which is unacceptable. Managers there lack of understanding about what is real customer service and act in a very bad manner. After arguing with managers who refused to exchange my Apple product and could not prove that they are right by doing so because obviously they are not I decided to directly call Argos customer service to claim my right which is the use of my Argos Guarantee in order to get an exchange in the store without the need to go to Apple ( what they wanted me to do) I was then told on the phone by Argos that everything was fine and that I just needed to call Apple to get a reference number which I acquired after 30 mins more on the phone in order to be able to exchange my product in the Argos Store. Note that this reference was not necessary at all as my product was bought less than 6 months ago so I had the right to use my Argos guarantee but the staff was stubborn and kept telling me to go to Apple . Unfortunately for them even after Calling Apple I was told that I have the right to exchange my Apple product whith them but they still did want to. Soi called the customer service again of Argos but they was apparently not able to contact this store because there was no answer from them. Conclusion: Never go to this Argos shop to exchange your products because it’s going to be very difficult. I have been declined another exchange by this store recently for the same situation with an Apple product and when I went to another Argos store 2 months afters with the same product and receipt I had an exchange immediately with a 10 gift card on top because the seller was very nice. There will be legal consequences for the employees and Argos if they don’t take the right decision very soon. I will call your Customer service again and ask for someone with an higher rank. My complain is already made the number is 16131292 if you need more informations.

Large, refurbished air-conditioned store. Can get very busy, but has plenty of consoles in store for browsing through the catalogue. Friendly staff and quick service with a reasonably sized waiting area after ordering.

Traveling by car is not an option as there is no parking. Better to take public transport. Staff are fast and helpful. An item I purchased wasn't suitable for me, the staff happily accepted back the item and refunded me the money.

This Argos has a brand new decor but again, falls short on the whole "look at our fancy touchscreens" model. Majority of the touchscreens (tablets actually) seemed to be unresponsive when I wen there. I did find one that worked and was able to quickly figure out what I wanted, pay by card, and pick up. Nice and easy process. The store itself was clean the staff were friendly.

I went in store today at roughly 4:25pm and it was really busy so the staff weren’t able to help as much. a staff member named Fatimah helped me out eventhough it was so busy and I saw that she also managed to help out other customers at the collection point by herself. very good and helpful staff member and I would come back to this store because of her. I’d give a 5/5 for her service alone

The one star is for the one helpful staff member who tried his hardest despite everything being a shambles. Over 20 people waiting, status screens out of sync with reality, waited 40 minutes for 1 item. Explanation given was only 1 staff member performing retrieval role. Won’t be returning.

Appauling service. I ordered an item online for same day delivery. When it did not arrive I contacted customer services to discover it was meant to be sent by the Old Street Store. They tried to call the store to find out what had happened. When the store didn't answer, the adviser told me that 'they never answer the phone' What kind of store doesn't answer the phone to their own head office? Good luck if you're a customer! They re-arranged deliver for the following day. It did not arrive again. I cancelled my order and made my purchase elsewhere. AVOID. The one time I didn't use Amazon and I regretted it.

I bought a gift for my husband's birthday from the Argos website and I needed it immediately that's why have checked in which store I can find it. Unfortunately the product was just for home delivery. The birthday was next day and I there was written that delivery would be within 2 working days. So I contacted the customer service centre and they wasn't sure if I can get it by next day delivery. Anyway I decided to risk it and I placed an order. The delivery came next day in the afternoon and I was very surprised and would rate the delivery with 5*. But my husband didn't like it and found it very expensive and we decided to change it for something he needs. We went for a refund in OLD STREET ARGOS branch because we live nearby. On the document enclosed was written that there are 3 ways to return the item: 1.we can send it by post(the payment back will take 30days) , 2.we can arrange a collection from home (takes around 2 weeks to refund the payment) and 3.to drop to ANY ARGOS STORE(and receive the payment in 5 working days). We decide to drop the item in ARGOS OLD STREET . We was served by ASHLEY , explained him the situation. He told us that this is not possible, that we can not return the item in their branch and to go home. I showed him what is written on the paper. And he was keep telling that this is not possible. Anyway we didn't give up and asked him to ask their manager if he can help with that because on the paper was written that this is completely possible. He went to their manager asked him some questions and came back to us. He told us that he's gonna try to do that. With many going to the manager and coming back to us finally they've made a conversation with the Argos centre and he bring us the paper to sign and we gave the item back. Very disappointed that he didn't know where to look and read about the item on the paper(he was looking for the item serial number and didn't find it , I showed him where it is) He was completely helpless and tried quickly to send us home. Very disappointed , we wait long time there. Such a waste of time and very very disappointed

Usually not too bad but recently they have been short of staff and the last time I spent 45 min to pay and collect an item ordered online (unfortunately they automated system did not let me pay through their on site terminals so I had to queue). One customer spent about half an hour at only manned cashier getting advice on a TV...!

Don't understand why argos have an opening time on their website for the old street branch as 8am when I'm standing outside in the rain at 08:22 and still aren't open. Can the opening times online be rectified so that everyone knows what time this branch actually opens. BEEN CORRECTED!!! It's actually 9am opening on a Saturday where Argos website does state this. ???? check argos website for opening times and no where else on the web otherwise you will be waiting outside. ????

Staff are very friendly but sometimes recieve items late I purchased 2 items and I recieved the first one very quickly. However I was waiting very long for the my second one. A staff member called Hamza was eating food next to me but I assume he was on his break as he was waiting for items he purchased. He noticed that I have been waiting for a long time and he put his food down and asked for my receipt and then gave my second item straight away. That was very nice of him but it's a shame that I didn't receive my second item when it was ready for me to be taken.

Really bad service..staff tend to just "forget" to get your order and don't pay attention to their own ordering/waiting system. Needs new management. There are some half competent staff though. If they see you waiting around for a long time they look at your order... Took me 3 staff members to get my order! Not my first bad experience here (3rd)

This shop has been designed by someone completely clueless. The conveyer belt which delivers your goods is on the opposite side of the store to the collection points. The poor staff have to walk back and forth the whole width while bored customers watch them and wait endlessly for their orders.

Spacious, high tech and the staff seem really really helpful. I often order something online and pick it up here on the way back from work. The website was down when I went in once, and this wasn't explained well to the customers.
