Found the agency very helpful in not only finding a house with friends but also thoroughly explaining the ins and outs of everything. Was glad to be introduced to Benji who showed us around and assisted on the financial side of things, making it very easy for us students. Overall 10/10 experience, excited to be moving in next year.

I went to help my daughter move into her new house today, it was let by Cintra Estates on behalf of Ridgemoor. After letting them know that we would be coming and making a 4 hour return journey we found the property was in an absolutely appalling state, we could not even leave a bag there. This is over a month after we started paying the rent. I am absolutely mortified to find this post from 6 months ago, below. I am very worried that we have been conned and that my daughter will be in an unsafe environment.
Cintra (& Ridgemoor) have made mine and my housemate's stay in our house HELL. They have completely conned us. They do no repairs (we asked from June 2017, we've only recently had most repairs completed) and the repairs are inadequate. This property has been dangerous to live in. They do not reply to phone calls or emails. They are rude. Mr Khan is a horrifically disgusting human being, and the property manager is also terrible. They are rude and unkind. You should all know they've had lots of legal action taken out against them and they are currently bankrupt. I'd write more but I can be bothered giving any more time or writing this. they aren't worth it. We have a full list of everything they've done (or haven't done). PLEASE, PLEASE AVOID. ESPECIALLY STUDENTS.

Avoid Cintra Estates at all costs! They put on a front and seem like professional staff in the office, but their practices couldn't be far from it!
To start they couldn't even provide house keys when moving in as they'd lost them and then we enter the house for it to look like this!!!! They then shift the blame onto Ridgemoor who pass it back to Cintra, all very confusing... and so we couldn't move in. After many emails and phone calls the property was ready to move into... but it was hardly "professional" clean as they call it. No reimbursement for rent baring in mind the property was unliveable for at least 3 months.
Problems continued as the house was barely legal, was a struggle to even ask for a carbon monoxide detector fitted!!! Things got so bad we got Environmental Health round as my room didn't even have a radiator.. We never saw the landlord no idea who he was, if you want anything done be prepared to send countless emails and phone calls, it's not going to be easy.
Took 2 months to get the deposit back.... endless excuses were made up again shifting the blame onto Ridgemoor and the "landlord". They will never give money back unless you pester them for months on end, funny how they are so quick to ask for money yet fail to give it back..
Most unprofessional business I have ever encountered, caused me, my housemates and family ridiculous amounts of stress and we could never feel relaxed as there would always be some sort of problem with both these so called businesses. So glad the 3 years are over so we never have to deal with them again.

They have been very good in both instances we have used them. Tom is always very friendly and is prompt with his replies. They are very professional and know what they are talking about when it comes to their properties. It has always been quick and easy to rent through them, I recommend.

Few months ago I adverstised my studio with Cintra almost for a month and not a single viewing was arranged and the manager Neil is never available either on phone or SMS or email.
In fact the one single viewing he arranged who actually tried to bargain on site, the agent did not turn up ,as owner I had to do it myself. The agent does not even spend 15 mintutes to take proffessional pictures or vidoes, in fact they use the pictures taken by owners on their phones.
One key point is during the month we had to reduce the rent from £700 to £650 to £600...each time we reduced Cintra left the old ad as it is on rightmove and created a new one with reduced price. At one point they had 3 ads for my property with different prices but same pics...I don't think anything could be more horrible than this, as it made my property look like a dodgy one.......no one came closer for viewings because of this!!!
So lazy that they can't edit an existing ad or remove an old one!!! what a shame.
All in all I wasted a lot of time by advertising with Cintra. Will I used them again - NO, will I recommend them to any one - NO.
If you are intelligent DONT go near these agents!!

Tom helped us enthusiastically. Their boss solved the problem very quickly. If you settle the bills of your house and clean the house roughly, then the deposit matter will be sort out. So this is the best rental agency in Reading.

Since finding a house through Cintra last year at an incredibly late and difficult time of the year, Cintra have shown to be extremely helpful in allowing us understand how to find a house and signing contracts and such. Special thanks to Tom and Benji who not only are great at their jobs but also as people in making us comfortable with the system of finding a house. They are also lovely people making us want to stay with the estate agents and find a house through Cintra.

I cannot stress how much you should stay away from these criminals. I rented from Cintra/ Ridgemoor properties in my second year at uni (2018-2019) and they took an insanely large deposit from the outset. The House was in bad condition for the money we paid and they were slow to respond to maintenance requests, if they ever did at all. When we left the house, we requested our deposit back as normal but they did not bother to respond to our emails/ calls for months. I then registered a formal dispute with the protection agency. It was at this point they finally got in touch with us to return the money. They are genuinely criminals - STAY AWAY.

As a student who has gone with Cintra for the past two years, I can honestly say that Cintra is very professional estate agent. They were very useful with helping me find a house to rent that was suited to mine and my house mates needs. In terms of house viewings this year, they have been very considerate with warning us and trying to avoid coming at awkward times, especially Tom and Benji.
We are very grateful and would highly recommend Cintra.

Absolutely shocking company. Would not respond to maintenance calls. The issues got so bad we had to get environmental health involved. Asked for an extortionate deposit (£3500) for 5 people. This was paid in November (8 months before move in day) and we still haven’t received anything back. DO NOT USE.

Avoid this estate agents at all costs. They put on that facade in their office like they're about it, but instead they're incompetent beyond belief. They seem very comfortable knowing that thousands of pounds of deposits are yet to be returned which suggests they have it covered up through Ridgemoor Properties who they essentially own. The biggest mess you could possibly imagine. A damn shame the post button greys out when you select 0 stars.

Really terrible estate agents. They don't respond to emails/calls, nothing ever gets done, they charge exorbitant amounts for rent and deposit. On top of that we caught one of their 'cleaners' (really just some guy who undoubtedly had connections to people at cintra) smoking weed in our garden when he was 'cleaning' the property. They also seem to be paying for google reviews. notice that the most recent 5 star reviewers all say pretty much the exact same thing.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. THEY ARE FAR WORSE THAN ANY ESTATE AGENTS I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.

Very incompetent! my housemates and I had to repeatedly contact Cintra Estates over a number of months after £675pp worth of deposit was not given back after our tenancy agreement ended. We did not violate our tenancy agreement nor did we have any unpaid bills. I was very unimpressed with their response to the situation as I was told "out of curtesy" they would help resolve the issue. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY

The staff there were terrible, they subletted our house without our permission over the summer preventing us from moving in, and then just shoved us in another house with so much rubbish and broken furniture in it. There was even mold growing in one of the rooms when we came round to collect keys. We complained so many times about this but the staff never responded. They even said this is standard procedure for "international students' and that they didn't care about whether we complained or not because we couldn't talk to anyone else. They also didn't return our deposit until several months later and were extremely unhelpful.

Cintra Estates and Ridgemoor Properties are honestly the worst two companies (possibly one because Ridgemoor doesn't seem to exist anywhere), I have ever had to deal with. They took just about three months to give back our deposit, every time we phoned up we were given a different reason and a different deadline for the money being returned. Every other time we phoned up they ignored us. We know this because we would call up on other numbers and they would answer straight away. During our tenancy they would take weeks to come out and fix things (three weeks for a washing machine), (never came and fixed the ivy growing in my room despite telling everyone that came round). In a recent meeting my flatmates were told "students can't tell their head from their arses". I found the members of the establishment to be extremely helpful until we moved in to the property, after which it was difficult communication and no help at all.

Do not ever deal with this estate agency. The staff may be friendly, but that can only cover up so much of the deep flaws of their service.
Communication is awful, their handyman sometimes ignores calls. Management never calls back when promised. Almost nothing fixed or refurbished, no action taken at all (except "cleaned") 4 months after the 2 week "promise" of fixing the place up.
Broken glass still left in the garden, oven doesn't work, cracks and holes in walls, ceilings and doors. At least two lightbulbs not working.
Fire alarms found without batteries, wires left uncovered.
The house was inadequate; the service and management were appalling. Overall, a terrible experience I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.

Easily the most straightforward and up front agents in Reading. Compare their incredibly reasonable rates to places in town charging huge fees for anything from references to guarantor checks and it's a no-brainer.
The boys at the office have a good portfolio and can update you if something comes available that they know you need. Don't even bother with the other places in town, especially if you're a student. Great place.

The director is not a man of his word and operates as a typical estate agent where he always has to have the last word and lies to get his way. Be very cautious when dealing with this bunch. They will lie, cheat and scheme to try to get their way and when they are unable to get their way they will lash out to hurt your or your business in any way they can. I would suggest that you have no dealings with this company unless you want to come out feeling frustrated over how unjust they were with you.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!
Well where do I begin with Cintra...This estate agents is a complete sham. The agency’s owner and ring leader, Asif Khan, has successfully dodged calls and dodged the return of our deposit for almost 2 months now. The landlord has stated that the house is in perfect condition and Asif should return the deposit in full. However, Mr Khan has fabricated a different story every time we attempt to contact him concerning it. As well as gross incompetence, there is quite obviously tax evasion/money laundering occurring at Cintra. Asif came to our house and asked one of my housemates to be the middle man in a money transfer between ridgemoor properties (a subgroup of Cintra) and Cintra estates. Hopefully we get the deposit back before the tax man comes knocking!
All in all avoid this shambolic excuse for an estate agency at all costs as not only are they extremely poor at their jobs. They are most probably operating outside of the law.

Save yourself the time and stress and do not go with Cintra Estates! The landlords they work with at Ridgemoor properties are absolutely impossible to get in contact with are have no idea what they are talking about when they do decide to answer the phone. We heard excuse after excuse and counless contradictory statements regarding our extortionate house deposit which took us 3 months of pure hell to get back! The most unprofessional and rude staff we have ever come across. Mr. Khan patronised and talked down to my housemates and I when we demanded action taken about our deposit, acting as if he was doing us a personal favour by looking into our case and saying 'you students can't tell your head from your a**'. NEW STUDENTS PLEASE AVOID!

We had a really good experience with Cintra estates today. Amar was extremely helpful in finding us a good property, going above and beyond the standard service you would expect. He even walked 10 minutes for us. I would defiantly recommend this establishment for any students who are looking for housing as you do not have to pay any student fees. The prices for housing are also very reasonable unlike other establishments.

Don't know where to start, best estate agents around polite, honest , trustworthy and extremely professional. Made house hunting fun. What I loved the most was the honesty and patience they had with me, when I was searching for my home I fell in love with a few which they could of very easily made their sale but instead they were honest and told me faults which later in life could of became a headache. Had been to a few estate agents in reading and not one can compare. HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU WONT BE LET DOWN.

Grossly incompetent and unprofessional avoid at all costs!
These individuals put on a good act being all professional and friendly up until the point when you need something from them. Our property was infested with rats and to say that they weren’t helpful would be an understatement, we informed them of the problem in November, and by the time we moved out in June there were as many as ever!
Any blame you try and place on them they will simply blame Ridgemoor Properties, which is a subset of them, and suggest that they are trying to look after you. This is most certainly not the case, they are simply trying to line their pockets by dodging fees and any charges. For example, the agent that was in charge of our property requested that a bank payment was done through my personal account to a third party, in order for them to avoid any potential tax or charge on the money.
Finally and what is most disgusting about this agency is their inability to return a sizeable deposit to us despite the fact that we moved out of the property 2 months ago! There has been countless missed calls and fabricated stories that the agent has come up with. We have been in contact with the landlord directly and he has been lying to him as well, suggesting that Ridgemoor had the deposit in spite of the fact that we paid the deposit directly to cintra.
They are likely to be running a lot of things illegally and off the books due to the fact that they demand large sums of money in cash with a huge charge on using bank transfers.
A truly disgusting company who line their pockets at the expense of financially vulnerable students. Safe to say I am in the process of complaining to the property ombudsman and I would encourage everyone else to do the same.
