I have worked with this company over 20 years as owning properties they manage.
I have highlighted on a few properties the improvements they have made and ask they highlight they point out in the lease where they are permitted. Nothing ever comes back.
I have a number of water ingress issues where there is a lack of response to the works being completed. I still have not had responses after 3 years. The company has recently breached privacy by installing CCTV in common parts. I never asked for this and it is again not acceptable to me. They have even built a new management office for their staff to sit in and it is not accepted on the lease. Maintenance in their view is improvement and want to fool members it will increase the property prices when the service charge level for me when I buy property will have the opposite affect!
Further to this company's poor performance we have had more and more issues. If you have also suffered from this company, I would like to hear from you.

Bad agency: they did not supply Deposit Protection Certificate and then disappeared by saying landlord is your reference point, very strange. Landlord got deposit release without my consent in advance. Unbelievable

My dealings with Chaneys over the years have been professional and in general quite good. I appreciate that rental properties can throw up a number challenges from time and time that many other landlords/tennants complain about however it's nothing that cool heads cannot resolve. Being open and honest with Chaneys will more likely than not yield a good result in the end as long as you're honest and open to work with them. (Please don't be distracted by these other reviews that more emotive than rational).

Had an issue that happened in the property they managed. Called nearly everyone and even the director Andrew Copely to ask to resolve the issue but he was too lazy to care. Dont expect your issues to be resolved with this company

Please do avoid this letting agency. They do not care about people and their properties. Very unprofessional and rude staff. The Head of Lettings Dhanvir is sometimes aggressive and his tone should change. He has no idea of what is going on and constantly repeat himself. You need to wait ages for a small issue to be resolved and have so many issues in the meantime. This person should be an example for people and not, annoying rude person. I could talk about it so much but have enough now.. Please think before using this ''agency'' if I can call them like this.

I have been renting a property with Chaneys being the letting agents for 2 years. My experience with this company (primarily with Bayleigh and Dan) has been extremely positive through-out. They have been very helpful from the start and any issue that my family brought up was promptly, efficiently and effectivey resolved to our complete satisfaction. With my tenancy coming to an end, Chaneys team has been extremely co-operative and flexible in arranging a moving date as my new build was slightly delayed. I've read the other feedback here but I can't thank Chaneys enough for the 2 years of good service I received. I wish Bayleigh, Dan and the team all the best always. Thank you !!

They were very fast, efficient and professional with all checking and procedures and I got my rental sorted out in less than a week from the time I saw the add.
Completely different with the experience I had simultaneous reservation in the same building with other letting agency in reading that in 4 weeks did not bother to give me receipts or let me know whether my rental was going ahead and let me know plan accordingly but happily took my money for the reservation.

Very unprofessional company, picks on an 81 year old man because of a broken fence that doesnt belong to his property and the responsibility falls to Chaneys.
Been sending emails to this rude company all day just to be getting replies blaming my father!
From the reviews I have seen I would steer clear of this business which claims to have good reputation, very annoyed with how they are treating a pensioner.

Worse than terrible, this company is pathetic!
They make one blunder after another, they have paid subcontractors in full prior to the work commencing, they use cowboys that have ruined parts of our development and then expect us to pay for their mistakes.
There are plenty of Property Management companies out there, so do yourself a favour and avoid this one...

We rented a house through Chaneys for almost 4 years. From the day we moved in there were problems with mould and the kitchen was fallen apart. Despite reporting the problems multiple time and patch up jobs being done the house continued to deteriorate. The roof began to leak, the bathroom had mouldy WOODEN tiles which carried on through to the kitchen and the conditions were just appalling. The back bedroom wall was completely soaked due to a blocked gutter. You could literally put your hand through the plaster.
After complaining for 3 years and nothing being done, we were forced to get environmental health involved. They came out and put a list together. The landlord retaliated with an eviction notice which is ILLEGAL!
The property manager is a complete liar and blamed all the problems on us despite the problems being structural and out of our control.
I cannot stress enough how terrible this agency is. Do not be enticed in by their low prices like we were.
*We received information helping us from shelter who advised us it wasnt legal and the environmental health officer said it wasnt nessacerry for the property to be vacant to carry out the works *

On the Property Management side, Now that we have moved in and even more special thank you to Dhanvir, he is friendly, professional extremely helpful and so quick to respond, we are so impressed with the level of service and the ease of contact and how prompt the communication has been.
We also visited the office in order to sign more documents, we were made to feel very welcome and can’t thank the team enough for making what would normally be an extremely stressful time that much easier.
