I have dealing with Parkers (Market Place branch) for many years now and from day one they have treated me like a first class customer. They understand your needs and wants and provide a service that you want, not what they want to feed you like many other agencies.
It seems that they really enjoy what they do and as such the key staff hardly change that often, so they get to know you and provide a friendlier service. Hands on heart, any time that I have been forced to deal with another agency, I have regretted it!
As someone who has been dealing with properties for many years, I can honestly say it's really rare to come across an estate agent like these guys.

I rented an East Reading property through Parkers for 12 months. A friendly and helpful office where someone was always on hand to answer queries throughout my tenancy. I appreciate I am not the easiest customer at times and ask a lot of questions!
Since Mark took over Woodley lettings, I have noticed the service has become more consultative too; people would take the time to call me to follow up email queries to chat everything through.
I would recommend Parkers & would happily rent through them again.
A very supportive team right up until the point of check out and would like to say a big thank you!

Have used Parkers for rental management for a few years now. Handled it myself before...and this is a much better arrangement! The help and advice is unfailingly friendly and all the staff I deal with have a great "we can sort it out" aproach (and with the mnimum of fuss). The management fee really does feel like money well-spent!

We have used Parkers for 5 years as purchasers, landlords and then as vendors. We have had an excellent service from them and would highly recommend them as estate agents. They have always stayed in very regular contact with us and made renting out our property as stress free as possible and then sold our house after a few days on the market. They kept us regularly informed during the sale and secured us reliable buyers, timing it perfectly with the end of our tenancy. They even recommended a great "man with a van" to help us move. Property is a stressful business but they made it as smooth as possible. Thanks so much to Sophie, Mark and Damien!

Gave a cheque for the deposit and first rent payment and one day before I moved in we were told if I wanted to move in I had to transfer money over within the next couple of hours (I WAS ON HOLIDAY) as they forgot about the cheque. Moved into the rented appartment with them. My hob didn't work and didn't get sorted for the first month while I was there- it was their responsibility to know this. A lot of things in the flat which didn't work weren't even noticed in the inventory. Would not recommend using them ever. Not friendly, take your money and do not provide anywhere near money's worth of service.

Harry was very open and honest and provided almost daily feedback making sure that everyone was on board. I’ve never meet anyone who cared so much and went to so much trouble to ensure that the sale and purchase went smoothly. Parkers have been my letting agent for 6 years, and while they are always polite and reliable to contact, some of the subcontractors they use are appalling. It makes me wonder why people pay for them to organise repairs when the tenants, landlords and letting agent spend more time chasing a third party.

Excellent service. Whilst helping my son buy his first property I was kept informed as to the progress of the purchase regularly which is so important. Even when there was nothing to report Damien still rang to keep me up to date - this was a nice touch as long silences play havoc with the old nerves. Owing to circumstances beyond Damien's control the process took a lot longer than the norm which took us near to the expiry of the mortgage offer. Without Damien pushing the solicitors on both sides, the vendor and the council (who were demanding certain work be done), I don't think we would have completed in time. We intend to sell our own house in a couple of years' time and will certainly be using Damien and his team.

I would like to say thanks to Angela. I have rented out my property with Parkers for 7 years. The first check out was faultless and 100% of the deposit was paid back. The second check out in Jan did not go well. There were items missing, the property was not returned to the same standard and items were excessively damaged, beyond wear and tear.
Angela organised the re-cleaning to a professional standard, a gardener to cut the grass and clear up the unattended borders and the replacement of broken items at the tenants expense.
The difficult task for Angela was liasing with the ex-tenant to agree damages. This is a difficult job balancing expectations of the owner and the tenant. Angela had to define what was fair wear and tear and what was damage and how this would be treated by the DPS. Luckily after several difficult calls the tenant agreed to the charges without having to go to the DPS.

During this time we have found them to be exceptionally professional in all areas of their business, from the receptionists to the directors, whilst also being very competitive with their fees. We have experienced indifferent service from other agents, and have always found Parkers to be nothing but helpful and informative, hence why they now manage all of our properties.

Until I dealt with Parkers, I believed that estate agents were just white collar criminals because my experiences had been so bad.
Parkers have always been very polite, professional and quick to respond. I've always been able to get problems resolved quickly and courteously. When searching for a new flat a couple of months ago, I didn't even bother to do an in depth search. I just asked Parkers what properties they had available because I knew I could trust them. If you're looking for somewhere to rent or buy in Reading, this has to be your first stop.
