Abysmal service. The branch appears to believe that automated screens are all that is required. I wanted to change some foreign currency. I was given a queue number, but with only one member of staff on the counters I left after a long wait with nothing happening. Unless you have a lot of spare time don't use the branch if you want to conduct any face to face transactions.

The employees in this branch are incompetent or are intentionally misinforming clients! I have asked about the account without overdraft and I have received technical gibberish that in principle it's not possible because transactions are not done in real time etc. However on Barclay's website I can clearly see Cash Card Account which is exactly the type of account I asked about.

BEWARE CORPORATE BANK ACCOUNT TAKES AGES TO OPEN!!!!! The process has three stages: booking the meeting with an account manager, the meeting and then receiving the details of your new account. My experience is detailed below. Booking the meeting: it is easy you can do it on your phone BUT I had to wait 2 weeks to actually have the meeting. Meeting at the bank: Person was friendly and process was quick Receiving bank details (opening account): Its been three weeks since the meeting (5 WEEKS IN TOTAL SINCE I CALLED TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT) AND I STILL DONT HAVE THE BANK ACCOUNT OPEN! The "friendly" manager (Mrs. Begum) told me I would have the details in one week at the latest (which is a long time but I accepted) and it has been three already and I have not received anything. Tried calling their "getting in touch" number and when they try contacting her it always gets sent to voicemail. COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED IN BARCLAYS

Terrible service. A mess of a place, their cash deposit machines never work and just today one swallowed 200 pound cash and said error - without giving me any proof that I deposited any cash. The response was slow, rude and skeptical. I still don't have my cash back. So regret opening an account at this branch.

This review is for this branch only. I have dealt with other Barclays and been quite happy, but this branch seems to have the most incompetent people working at any given time. No one could respond to my questions directly, everything was evasive, and after 2 frustrating weeks of dealing with them, the branch promptly told me they couldn't accept my request and I would have to go to another branch or another bank all together. Expect to wait 2 weeks to open a student account. Expect no help or direct answers from the staff. Expect to be treated like dirt. I would only come here to take out money from a cash machine. But this Barclays branch is the lowest of the low.

Incompetent and lazy staff. Pathetic services. Barclays have become fat, entitled and arrogant. Leaving Barclays was great decision, one I recommend to everyone. I am now with Metro bank. A bank that actually respects it customers!

It's funny how one is conditioned now as a consumer to read the reviews, research and decide. Reading the reviews for this bank, it would be the last bank on earth to go to. But guess what. The behaviour is fundamentally flawed, because happy customers usually dont write anything, and unhappy customers go ahead and deliver their hatespeech. In the end, you only see the few people who were unhappy, and not the majority who were happy. Came here despite the reviews due to being recommended by a friend. Had an appointment with Jorna. Received great service, barely any waiting time, friendly, professional treatment. All my questions were perfectly answered and I walked out with my account being readily set up in one single session, no messing around. Was explained how to use the banking, even eceived help installing the app for the bank. There is barely anything they could have done better. Absolutely nothing wrong with this branch.

I have my branch here and they were very friendly. However if I were to do it again I would probably go to another branch since this one is often packed since its close to UCL and therefore full of students.
