Decent gardening section, plenty of plants to choose from. Well stocked with all sorts of bits and bobs you might need around your household. Some stuff can be on a pricey side. Not many tills are open at one time, resulting in very long queues. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great for your bits and pieces. It's local has a good variety of items for decorating the home. COVID safety measures are in place.

Until today I would have rated this store very high. Someone had spilled paint on the floor, I then stepped in it as no sign had been placed over it. When I told one of the staff he shrugged his shoulders and carried on eating his apple. He then took ted at a caution sign and said 'theres the sign' which was nowhere near the paint spill. The cashier was abrupt and the manager unhelpful. I accept the paint spill was probably not their fault but it most definitely was not mine and I'm the one with damaged shoes. Customer service training definitely needed.

Easy to find, park and get around. Has an excellent selection for the house and garden and a must for all your home decorating needs. Staff couldn't be more helpful.

My local Homebase, I'm so glad it's within walking distance as many a time we've needed stuff for the house and thought I'll get it from here. It's very handy lol. If you feel like driving there is a free car park too. You can get most of your diy supplies here, you can order online and pick up in store or check stock online and reserve in store. Staff are always knowledgeable and helpful and the garden department will not let you down.

Great value on plant pots, only bad thing was pots not all priced up. So once you get to the till to pay, staff have to get someone to go back and check price listed so you can be waiting while others are served. so time wasted.

Thankfully this branch had what I needed. It is just a shame I have to travel so far from where I live to get to this Homebase when I had one literally 20 mins from in Wandsworth which is now closed down. Good branch had all what I needed

Twice in a row shown up at quarter past 6 and been told they are shut. Online says seven. I understand maybe closing early with covid etc. But 45 mins early taking the biscuit a bit. Won't be using this or any homebase again.

could be the best homebase in south London but for the untidy and not very helpful staff.

Not impressed! I checked the website to be sure they had what I wanted in store and it said they had 14. When i got there, I couldn't find them, asked for help and a woman went off to check but never came back. I asked another chap who was helpful enough to come back but to tell me they didn't have what I was looking for. Which was probably good because the queue for the check out was enormous, and not because it was over busy. I recommend going to B&Q instead!

I bought a new kitchen and the delivery was good. The store personnels were excellent and very patient and helpful. However you must never use their fitter. I had a fitter whose initial begins with M was absolutely chronic. My electric was left in a dangerous position. He visited 5 times to repair plumbing work and I still need to get a plumber to overall what has been done. As he left he said he was not 100% certain I won't have a leak. I am now scared to go into the kitchen and use the washing machine or sink. I have no fault to find with buying the units or the delivery of them. But please please please use your own fitter. It has become a norm to queue for 15min on a week day without mentioning the lack of staff to help in the premises. Something must be going wrong.

Homebase has everything you need which is great.... apart from a member of staff to help you if your disabled. Not enough cashiers. Access to upstairs is limited if you have mobility problems. They need a lift. Disgusting in this day and age a customer can not visit a particular floor as there is no access for the disabled!!!

Sadly lacking in any sort of customer service! Staff know nothing about any of the products they are selling & are at a complete loss. Whatever happened to training & even common courtesy?

I used to love coming to this store and haven't been for a while. I came yesterday and couldn't find a filling knife. Asked the staff who pointed where it might be, still couldn't see it. Saw the same member of staff who said "it's there", pointing but couldn't be bothered to walk a few feet to actually show me. A customer in the end helped me, terrible service here and it's a first for me as the staff were always willing to help.

Nearest Homebase to Croydon.Very inconvenient as there used to be one in Croydon. I only went there because they did a certain colour paint, otherwise would use B & Q , Screwfix etc Croydon

Great shop but loads of items aren’t priced correctly especially at the back of the shop on the outside, some items I wanted to get but there was either no price to it or it faded with the rain and sometimes it isn’t very clear.

I recently had an issue with my Ryobi multitool which required it to be replaced under warranty. Unfortunately Homebase had stopped stocking this tool since I'd bought it in the now closed down Homebase Guildford. Gerald from Homebase Streatham went above and beyond helping me sort a replacement one instead of just offering a refund when I really needed the tool itself! One happy customer!

Badly organised shop. The paint we wanted, while showing that there were two in stock, there were none to be found on the shelves. The tin we wanted was on its side under the shelf so at least we eventually managed to get what we went in for. The tills were a disaster, only one person working who allowed a previous customer to do a complicated exchange without having to queue up again. A supervisor came and the two of them stood there saying basically the same thing to the customer. It wasn't until I said something that another till was opened but even then I was to wait by the supervisor in a none too polite manner. Avoid. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Well stocked store, like any large business does have some grumpy and unhelpful staff, but overall good. Store likely to close due to redevelopment of site.

This store is always busy on a weekend. It has really good stock but the store is always understaffed. Its not easy to find someone to help with advice on DIY projects or to help find an item. I've had to ask the security guard on occasion

You can buy some solid bits of wood here, and great value chairs, or use the wood to build some chairs. The opportunities are endless. Great store, good value, wonderful service.

Trollies that have a mind of their own and only one person checkout working both tills alternately. One for cash and one for card. Poor thing ...felt sorry for her.

Staff abrupt and unhelpful. Disabled trolleys weren't clearly marked as such. Injured my leg as a result, I noticed others abandoned around the store.

It felt like I was going shopping in the 80's. It's a very old and sad feeling walking into that place. And didn't have what the Internet showed them to have in stock.

It's alright for what you need to do your home crafts. But queues stretch round the store at most times. Barely anyone in departments to ask for help on the shop floor and prices are extortionate when compared to other retailers on many items
