This store has an extensive product range. Plenty of easy parking though the approach is from a busy main road. There is a bus stop right outside. The staff are always busy but helpful when available. A good paint colour service

Good store with an excellent range but the only trolleys available are really heavy and the car park is on a slope. I had great difficulty stopping it veering towards the parked cars. Will only use for basket items in future. Shame - otherwise a decent store.

A reasonably well stocked homebase (I have seen some shocking ones in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised!) Good plants selection for the time of year (lots of reduces tomatoes and plenty of herbs, shrubs and perennials too) narrow aisles, making social distancing a little challenging, but a good range of stock on offer. Car park quite tight and the entry barriers to the shop that should be automatic were manual (which is jarring given I am trying to avoid touching well-used surfaces!) Hand sanitizer and D10 available on the doors, which helps. For a Tuesday afternoon in the summer holidays this was not overly busy, but there was a queue for the tills (about 2 mins) Would visit again, as I know they are well stocked.

I go to this store for specific things and usually find them. Has a nice garden centre at rear but if you want unusual plants need to go to a Nursery. Nice selection of houseplants at decent prices.

I was so pleased with staff working there. Young gentleman, Italian I think, so polite and making me feel welcome. WOW! such a nice place.

Thanks for keeping me in the loop. Ordered Dulux tester paints on website for click and collect, website did warn that stock levels may not be correct. I got a phone call to say that 2 were not available and gave me the names so I can now ordered direct from Dulux. Great

It's a homebase in Penge which always reminds me of hinge which you can buy there I assume. We actually sold out car at we but any car which is in the car park. But I assume it is a homebase like many others which i generally find a useful place.

Small store, or should I say 'Compact'. Plenty of parking and plenty of stock. Limited tool selection which is why I went. Not many staff I could see, but it clean and tidy. Didn't go into the garden section so can't comment on that.

Took in a piece of paint to have colour matched (I'm a tradesman trying to get a job done), the old guy (possibly Aussie) behind the counter kept me waiting and didn't even acknowledge me, then he refused to do it, saying he wouldn't get a match. There was apparently too many blemishes and needed in his words, "an inch and a half size piece." Other Homebase stores always do this for me no problem. Funny enough, I took the same piece to B&Q around the corner and they did it first time. I think Homebase need to question this mans ability to do the job. He was really arrogant too.

Had everything you could possibly want from a garden centre , bought some reasonably priced plants , and a few other bits . Staff pleasant and didn't have to wait long at the tills .

Good deals to be had inside, was very busy. Shame they had blocked all the disabled parking bays as took my 80 year old disabled mum in law there and had to park away from the entrance. Makes no sense to me to block these bays off by putting products for sale in them.

There was a queuing system in place on Saturday at 15.30, but it went down quickly. A lot of emphasis on Christmas shopping, trees real & artificial. Social distancing was satisfactory, staff friendly and helpful. Shelves appeared well stocked, it was good just to look around and feel normal for a while!

Not as good as it was before it became "Bunnings" for a while. Still has a "Bunnings" feel to it. Loved the old Homebase layout

The staff here are wonderful, however it's definitely not a good homebase. Often things are instock online then not in the actual shop. Plants are severely neglected too. The staff are the best part, they're so lovely, kind and helpful. So appreciative of them!

Has everything you need and staff are nice too. If they do not have what you are looking for the staff can check the stock of nearby stores.

The same story with indor flowers like in Catford branch. If flowers are half dead just give it away for free coz discounted zombies nobody will buy and they will end up in bin anyway. Such waste in times where everybody are speaking about sustainability and environment.

Homebase Penge is back now to a straight walk in store instead of having to queue. Everything garden and wood wise is available here. Social distancing in force a d its reasonably possible to stick to it I store. Plenty of Staff and Help with questions of any DIY related aspects . I come here most weekends and buy something. Plenty of parking available. Do it yourselves paradise.

Assistant serving me was a bit stroppy. I bought a real Christmas tree which comes in a pot. She thought the pot was extra and I was trying to explain that it needed a pot, which was included in the price. She eventually, reluctantly agreed.

Came here to buy some door handles for our new built-in wardrobes, we'd seen them in another homebase but when we went back the stock hadn't been filled up and they had none left so came to the penge branch and found exactly what we was looking for and plenty of stock too. Straight to the till and only waited briefly for the person in front to finish before paying myself and leaving swiftly.

Not too busy. I was pleased that most people seemed to be wearing masks but there wasn't a lot of social distancing going on!

Another option too B&Q and Wickes. So it gives the public more choice and keeps prices competitive. So when you Google search the prices are pretty consistent, especially when someone will have a stock out

Like a shy fat kid at a public swimming pool; Homebase (Penge) is enormously happy to be there so long as no-one sees them with their shirt off. Parking is great, staff are friendly though not actually helpful and stock seems plentiful and up to date. The lighting was out on a few isles and there were no power tools on display. Not sure if those two points are related. Social distancing was being observed through simple lack of customers. There were some antibacterial hand gloop dispensers at the door though there was no obvious way to make them dispense anything. The till had you check goods at the back then return to the very front (not the side) to pay. This would have been fine but after scanning my items the cashier simply stepped back as if she were a magician's assistant saying "ta-dar" with a spotlight on the card scanner. A motion she has repeated so many times she must have thought she could get away without saying anything or turning the much needed illumination on. I'll admit were my hands not currently clutching my wallet and my not-quite-yet purchased goods I might have been stired to have given her a Pavlovian round of applause. As it was I was left to search all surfaces for a place to waggle my debit card. Not a bad store but one where it helps to already know what you want before you visit and to have brung your own hand sanitizer and perhaps a torch.

Like Homebase, but can look abit dull. If you know what you want and get it, like I did then its a pleasant visit. Overall, not bad.

I had to return an item which wasn't needed and the staff member dealing with it couldn't have been nicer. The replacement item was in stock so, generally, my experience today was first rate ????
