Wow. Literally one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I came to this store to hire a rug doctor. I walked around the store looking for a member of staff to ask for help with the hire. After a while i find a staff member hiding at the back of the store so he could play on his phone. He tells me i need to join the till queue and ask the cashier. The queue was approximately 15 to 20 mins and went all the way to the back of the store with only one member of staff on tills. I qued. When i got to the cashier (Jill), i asked if i could hire a machine. Jill said she doesn't do that and i should wait for her to call someone. She calls another staff member over (Kerry).
Kerry came in and told us to stand in the corner then ignored us for 5 minutes while she looked up other products on the computer. She then got the rug doctor site up on her pc and asked us what one we wanted. I asked the difference in price and she said well just look at the stand. I replied to her that the price tags were ripped up and i was unable to see them hence why i asked. She huffed and asked us to move to a different corner and went and scanned the machines and told us prices. We made our selection and Kerry processed the machine she gave us the document then told us to join the queue again. I explained that we had already queued, Kerry said that i can do what i want but she can't guarantee we will get served, and that she cant process us at the till herself or ask a colleague. I waited by the till and asked the cashier if we could go after her current customer which she agreed to. Now this was all bad enough as service goes but I cannot even fully explain the attitude of the staff here who were incredibly rude to each other and other customers. With lots of huffing and eye rolling. And a tone of inconvenience. If it wasnt for the fact that I have to return the rug doctor to get the deposit back i would never return to this homebase again. What a joke.

Went to look at this garden furniture which I am having delivered from another branch. Needed to buy a cover for it. Queues can get very long here at the weekend. Staff here are very helpful. My only criticism is their carpark which is regulated by a private company. You only get 60 minutes to browse and shop.

Needed some mastic to fill small holes in leaking flat roof. Only needed small tin.Popped into Homebase and was back home to do job before it rained again!2 lovely ladies on check out. Coronavirus about so queued for short.They were very helpful and understanding. Friendly but professional. Thank you. Job done.

Nice place, with very friendly staff and lots of different things to buy at reasonable prices. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is due to the highly restrictive parking. 1hour is just not long enough for a shop of this size. I found myself rushing to get out the door in time and this to be counterproductive.

I travelled an hour to get to the store on the basis that the website said it had plenty of stock of the items I needed. Both items were critical because I had a whole in my roof and there was 0 stock. The best management would offer was 10% off the more expensive version - having. A. Laugh.

The two women that worked on the shop floor tills were stood congregating and having a leisure conversation.
I then asked if it was going to be opened. Her response was quite rude at this point the queue behind me was building up .When I got to the till she priced my item inaccurate. She was not very nice even when making that amendment on the item.

When you go for shopping make sure you take your bank card as they don't accept cash. Even though the sign says "preferred method card" which means you can use cash. But when reaching at the till they say no cash only card. The tills have a small sign that says no cash. It was my last custom. Till homebase doesn't accept cash again, I won't shop.

Always long queues, short staffed so no one to help you on the shop floor, and if you do manage to find someone they will most likely be short tempered and stressed due to the short staff (employees are nice people but clearly overworked).

I am local to this branch and I have been there many times and every time is the same, missing prices, mixed prices, missing items, staff missing, you can never find any staff to help you around find items or prices or help you in anyway, I think there is more cats there than staff. Most of the time they only have one till open. Plants outside are usually dry and dying. I have to say that the organisation and the management of this place are really at their lowest and they should put costumer service on the top of th list and others points mentioned on my review.

Arrived into shop and first thing I saw was a mean looking security guard. I told the the guard to smile. The guard asked why. I replied telling him you are scaring away the customers with that frown on your face. Nevertheless went on to shop. Asked staff for some products for garden; however staff did not know about product and started to Google desperately. Managed to get some products but not all. Also rather difficult to find whereabouts of products. Please Homebase train staff adequately particularly the security. ????
