Due to social distancing measures only a limited number of checkouts are open which can cause quite significant delays in paying for goods

It is a good DIY and garden centre store well stocked. Everyone is always very nice and helpful there. It's never too busy, a good car park..

The rudest staff I have ever encountered in a retail store. I was witness to staff essentially bullying a customer, I couldn’t get out of there quick enough.

Just rung them to check if they had paint pot I'm after as I have run out and need one to finish the job. My local store had run out and didn't want to make unnecessary journey 25mins away because of lockdown. Young man who answered said he wouldn't check on shelf and had to go into store! Then whilst I was in mid sentence he cut me off!! He should count himself luck he has job atm

We went in to look at the storage boxes which seemed to be all over the place and mixed up. The floor staff very helpful and pleasant and sorted our request. Shame the same couldn't be said for a male manager. Who was rude to a member of staff we had stopped to ask help us. Walking past and berating them in front of us for not doing the task he had set them obviously because they had stopped to help a customer. Was embarrassing for us and them...Hello we are the customer we come before anything else and he seriously needs to learn some manners this gives the company a poor image.

Good shop and nice stuff, but don't even try to use their DPD drop off service. The staff is not trained well and very often say that "the system" doesn't work rather than help..

I often use this store since it's fairly local and usually has parking spaces available. It sells a good range of paints and related products. However the stock and range of timber and construction products is limited. It has a garden section with a range of seasonal plants, often there are bargains to be found there. The store has a wide range of hardware products and some furniture. There's also a kitchen and bathroom section upstairs.

Really gone down hill since they sold out. No customer service desk so have to queue up at normal tills which are almost always busy holding the queues up even more. Wallpaper displays are practically empty, other sections are low on stock. Prices are not always available. Online stock check is not updated most times. Plenty of times I've ordered and not in stock even though it says it is. Wouldn't surprise me if this place closes down soon!

It’s an ok place to buy some indoor and outdoor plants as well as tools needed to finish or renovate an apartment. Got some nice pots fitting the plants I bought for my home. They have recent price and offer help in most of the sectors. I recommend the place if you’re looking for some garden plants.

Didn't have what we needed but good alternative suggested. Appreciate the cat makes it more homely but I am allergic so weary of having a reaction. Traffic is a bit annoying around the area. Other than this good store and staff.

A large enough home and garden store. Split level downstairs paints and lights towards the back gardening and plants on the back yard. Upstairs is more the home side kitchens and other stuff. Normally will have offers around the holidays

Really disappointed with the experience. Bought a garden furniture set online - they phoned me to say they only deliver on Mondays. I had to take a day off and cancel an upcoming garden party because of this. I didn’t think too much of it - took the day off and the driver called at 1pm to say he’s on the way. At 4pm he still hasn’t shown. Phoned the store and they said he came but no answer - which couldn’t have happened because I was in my front room the whole time. They said they would call me back but didn’t. I made a formal complaint and they came out to deliver again. Again no one pitched up and when I called them they said they came and waited 15 mins but no answer. They then said the driver is honest and has no reason to lie - but neither do I, I need the furniture for my party! I was so annoyed - will probably never buy from them again!

Nobody knows anything in this place. Especially if you visit over the weekend. Poorly stocked. Once the Asian manager promised to give me a compensation, which never happened, then upon enquiry I learnt, he has left.

My wife and I popped into Homebase in Streatham vale yesterday to look at garden furniture and garden equipment and we were both very pleased with the attention from the sales team , in particular Gill, she understood the product and availability and certainly made our mind up regarding what to buy. Just have to save the money to pay for it now. Thank you

Today my family and I decided to visit our local store in the evening as we were preparing for the Chinese New Year. Upon arrival we was greeted at the door by a lovely gentleman who kindly directed us upstairs. We decided to browse upstairs in the showroom as we are currently undertaking a refurbishment. The showroom was nicely displayed, the bathtubs were filled with rubber ducks along with the stunning shower suites. We was looking for a towel rail, there were loads of choices but limited stock available on the shop floor. We needed some assistance, however there was no one readily available that we could see. I was walking around on the showroom floor to find some advice for at least 10/15 minutes. I then saw a lady at the showroom desk although she looked inattentive as she was on her phone. I enquired about the towel rail which I could not locate. Without even hesitating to get out of her seat, meet at eye contact or to even ask what towel rail I wanted, I received an abrupt response, ‘Whatever is out is out’. As a representative of the showroom, I anticipated for at least another alternative or some assistance, however her delivery in customer service was appalling. As we continued our shopping upstairs, we came across a storage unit for our shower room (at this point we still hadn’t been approached to acknowledge if we needed any help). We decided to buy the storage unit and realised we needed a basket for all our other shopping. I went back downstairs to get a basket as there were none available upstairs. We’d been informed by previous staff that the rubber ducks, which were complimentary, would be available to all parties in the group. Whilst placing our items in the basket which had a combine total of over £100, we were embarrassed and brazenly informed from afar with the question ‘How many have you got there?’ The lady at the desk who was referring to the rubber ducks made us feel as if we were partaking in a form of criminality. I replied back with ‘we have four rubber ducks’ She then replied with ‘’You’re only allowed two’’ Please also note that she was sat during this entire time whilst shouting from her desk to where we was. I was mildly amused at the fact that she was more interested in us acquiring a couple of complimentary rubber ducks than providing the level of service that one would expect. This only adds to our level of displeasure that my heavily pregnant sister felt compelled to have to assist with all our items. The lady at the desk could clearly see us struggling with our afore mentioned items. As a basic level of courtesy, I would’ve anticipated the lady at the desk to enquire if we needed assistance. Due to our frustrations, I asked for her name which is Rebecca. This does not detract from the memorable service received from the team members on the ground floor. Danielle, who kindly gave us a discount voucher, was extremely helpful and lovely in which was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, due to this level of service, we will be looking at alternatives for the refurbishment of our home.
