Great service, the assessor thoroughly vetted the car and thank God he did. Avoided buying a bit of a dog that I would certainly not have noticed if I viewed the car myself! Well worth the relatively small fee

Shocking Experience, Please Avoid. One of there mechanics they provided trashed inside of my Truck, Stole only set of keys. Left vehicle in a field for 5 months and basically it rotted. Failed MOT after on excessive Rust underneath and basically a write off. I had to involve the Police to recover keys. The mechanic had an illness in the family the Police said but Click Mechanic escalate it to defend their reputation to a bereavement despite me having screenshots from them that it was only an illness as is the truth. Make of them what you want BUT I’d advise avoid like Covid. As any problems they leave u up the creek without a paddle.

Needed speed sensor replaced before going on holiday was booked in swiftly in fact mechanic asked to come a day early which worked out great for me. Excellent service

Having used click mechanic in the past, when I need a part replaced as a precaution it was my go to..my mechanic was due between 10 and 12.. throughout the day insisted he'd be here even if it was going to take him till 11pm. At 10pm..he cancelled and reacheduled for 2 days time..after taking apart the engine he realised he had the wrong part and insisted that all the parts were left in the boot..for 3 days I couldn't use my vehicle. Today he managed to source the part for an extra 90something pounds..despite another 10 till 12 appointment he eventually arrived at 8pm..the repair was completed less than an hour ago.. I write this review as I now sit in my vehicle with a snapped belt which was replaced under an hour ago! My car which was fully functional before clicks involvement is waiting to be loaded onto a recovery vehicle.

Absolutely shocking service. Booked to have alternator changed as has completely siezed as diagnosed by green flag. Was advised a mechanic would be at my home between 12 and 2. Noone turned up so tried to call mechanic as was given his contact number and went straight to voicemail. Which it has been like all day. Tried to call clickmechanic directly and their phone lines arent open. This was about 3:15pm. Tried the online chat, they said they would message the mechanic and update me when they heard something. Asked if they could send another mechanic/what they planned to do if he didnt show at all. Got no response and was ignored. Had no response since and is now 5:30. Would never ever try these guys again and id highly suggest you avoid at all costs

Just found out about this business recently and was glad that I did. A fair price was charged and the work done quickly. Excellent all round.

I want to post my experience with Click Mechanic as an urgent warning to anyone considering using them. First and foremost, I think it should be made clear they're an intermediary that acts as a go-between between customers and garages, and as such their priority is money, not your safety and not the service.. If there are problems with the repairs you receive they use this to distance themselves as much as possible. Their business model is similar to the likes of trustatrader etc, where I imagine garages / mechanics pay to be featured on the site, otherwise the quality of service feels random and unvetted. I’d previously had OK, if expensive, repairs done through Click Mechanic when my local garage was too busy. This time I booked an interim service and MOT to ascertain the state of the car and whether it needed to be scrapped or could be repaired, which all needed to be done remotely in line with COVID guidelines. I informed the mechanic that the car had been stationary and the battery may be flat (£85 for a battery charge!), and to call. The keys were taken but no explanation was offered. After strained contact and missed connections, I then felt uncomfortable and wary continuing the conversation over their internal mediation messaging and over the phone. Even when I asked for correspondence to be over email so I could have written proof, they’d still phone despite making it clear any trust had broken down. Eventually, the car was returned after a week having failed the MOT but unauthorised repairs were made to force it through a lenient MOT, when I'd rather have had it scrapped. Less than a week after said MOT the rear brakes failed and the driver’s side front tyre popped out of the ball joint during gentle town driving before I could get hold of a replacement car. I was very fortunate that there wasn’t a more serious accident and the breakdown service expressed shock at how the car was allowed back on the road, let alone passed an MOT. There even seemed to be a part held up by a cable tie. I contacted Click Mechanic with photos from the night and emphasising they’ve put me in physical danger. They responded with zero care and asking for a receipt of a recovery happening, something which RAC expressed concern about being an unusual and callous response. The car is un-driveable and off the road so I'd need to pay to have it either recovered to an MOT centre for DVSA inspection or pay again to have an independent mechanic inspect it to "prove" to ClickMechanic that my wheel is hanging off. Essentially, they’re going to use bureaucracy and admin to distance themselves from any responsibility, in the hopes customers will eventually run out of steam trying to fight them. Which I’m sure is effective but a sign of a shamelessly dishonest business. I’ve noticed they respond quite vociferously to negative online / public reviews while having a lot of over-enthusiastic marketing-speak positive reviews. It’d be great if they used some of this energy towards existing customer service complaints and concerns about their vetting process. All I can say is, especially if maybe you're a new driver or not confident with cars, is to avoid Click Mechanic for your own safety. Yes, it feels quick and easy but if anything goes wrong they will not care. Research a local garage and avoid ClickMechanic at all costs. UPDATE: After making a number of complaints, they sent another mechanic to review the car's damage before it was scrapped and concluded that there had been a serious mistake at the MOT Test Centre (Brent Autos.) They offered 10% off any future services and a refund of repairs prior to the accident within 10 business days.

A seamless and efficient service that I simply cannot fault. I've already spread the word to my friends and family and would have no hesitation in using again! 5***** from me.

Updated review. Bad experience with one mechanic though I have happily used Clickmechanic up to now for a number of years. However, Clickmechanic thankfully resolved the matter after some prompting and arranged a refund of overcharged amounts. Best to check reviews of any mechanic that is introduced both in Clickmechanic and on Google before using. Booked full service and MOT for £230 on clickmechanic and the cowboy mechanic that turned up added unauthorised work and charges without telling me and took £600+ from my card (and tried to take more before I blocked it!). They didn't even top up any fluids though this was part of the full service. Was told by CM this mechanic will be banned from their network going forward.

Great service, when the work proved more complicated than expected. Extra miles gone. Highly recommended.

Make a lot of money out of you as a dealer when an independent can do there work for half the price. Not to be trusted!!!

The mechanic called the day before to check he had all of the information and to arrange a time. He was super friendly and professional. Explained everything to me and got all of the work done. Went above and beyond by giving me advice on our second car. Couldn't recommend RTJ Autos enough.

Tried to scam more money Completed an online quote giving exact details of the issue and Click Mechanic provided a price. After a couple of days they said the job could be done at a higher price. I asked for it to be done at the price quoted and they said they would carry on looking for a mechanic. After a few more days they called back and said it would be the higher price or they couldn't do the job so the booking was cancelled

I ordered the basic inspection as I could not view the car before purchase. But a very obvious oil leak - picked up by my mechanic in 30seconds - was not reported or very worn pitted disc . the online said 63 then had an email to say 197 and then the garage called and said 250. how the hell has it moved 200. then they didnt turn up even though they called to confirm. they turn up 5 hours late and it was no good to do the job and then they charge me for it . Joke

Mechanic did not arrive at all. No call no message. Changed plans to accommodate this repair. Messaged mechanic...no response.....called mechanic.....no answer. Very dissatisfied customer.

First time using ClickMechanic and I was not disappointed! The Mechanic arrived promptly at my door ready to fix the car in a speedy efficient way. He was very knowledgeable and friendly! All of ClickMechanic Mechanics are approved and verified and all labor and parts come with a 12 months warranty which really gives piece of mind with the work being conducted. I had an auxiliary belt replaced and having it done on my drive saved me the hassle of taking it to a garage. Thoroughly impressed with the service I was provided.

DO NOT GET A PRE-INSPECTION. PLEASE, JUST DON'T. Honestly, it's not worth the paper it's written on. In my case, I paid nearly £90 for a pre-inspection through ClickMechanic. The mechanic described the car as "good for its age" and in need of a bit of TLC, but otherwise fine. Half an hour after buying the car on that recommendation, the breaks stopped working ON THE MOTORWAY. Luckily I manged to ride to a stop and get picked up by roadside recovery. I had the car taken to a certified mechanic and they found plenty wrong with the engine and the traction control that the ClickMechanic overlooked. The worst thing is that if you complain to ClickMechanic, you get put through to the mechanic who worked on your car, not a professional customer care agent. After arguing with my mechanic for a few days, I escalated my case and asked someone at ClickMechanic to get involved. Nobody did. I then wrote to the chat line and asked for help, the agent said they would review my case, then just disappeared. ClickMechanic put you with sub-standard mechanics whose work will put you in danger, then they'll flat out ignore you. Please, go with proper professionals for your next job.

I used ClickMechanic to get my clutch replaced. The website was very easy to use and I was given a very reasonable price for the work. I was very pleased that I could have the work done the following day and my car would be picked up and dropped off. The mechanic that carried out the work was very polite and kept my fully up to date on their progress. Overall using ClickMechanic was a very easy and pleasant experience and I will have no hesitation in using them again.

Trying to find decent quotes for a minor job, obviously used CM to compare to local businesses... Clickmechanic offered a very reasonable quote one day, then the next day the same quote has increased by 30%

Their quotes are cheaper because they use cheap parts. Customer service is non existent and they dont reply to your emails. Mechanic will tell you to go to the website if you have an issue and none gets back to you from the website. Better to go to normal garage or dealerships for peace of mind.

Website was easy to use, vehicle was collected and returned as expected. Staff punctual. As I was having a service and no fault finding was required it was a seamless process. Will use again.

Ur mechanic didnt complete the brake pad change and due to seized caliper. He said to ring me the next day to fit the caliper and never contacted me. Also charged £58 for not completing the job. Rubbish service! Should have went to a garage never again!

Job was accepted online very quickly. Communication with mechanic was excellent from the start, arranging appointment time, during diagnostic and repair. Convenient time , outside of working hours arranged for diagnostic and repair and pictures sent with updates during repair. Mechanic was also very friendly and explained things so I could understand. Will use again.

Brilliant service! Having my car fixed will never be the same again. A cheerful mechanic collected my car from my house and then delivered it back, fixed and ready to go, in under two hours. It was so easy! And the price was approximately half of what my local mechanic’s shop had quoted me. The online ClickMechanic quotes are provided up front so you know what you are going to pay and you are only charged after the car has been fixed; they do put a payment request through so the money is held in your account for payment, which is fine.This is the simplest, most stress-free, way to get your car fixed!

very disappointing they charge you… very disappointing they charge you money in advance even if the don't do the job . make sure you are not paying anything in advance I have asked for a refund for the job that the mechanic never deed and apparently I have to prove even if he admitted he left my car broken-down with the DPF FILTER BLOCKED. Obviously ho ever replayed to this is not an mechanical engineer or something I don’t have to be an expert to tell you that the DPF FILTER it doesn’t get blocked after one ride like your mechanic is suggested it takes Years even with the errors that your mechanic insisted that is the reason for the DPF to become blocked after he physically cleaned in les then 2 hours plus he change the oil oil filter and air filter Plus he even took my car to force a regeneration on A13 for few miles and when he came back home car broke down of an DPF blocked he is amazing faster any machines . Only to clean the DPF you need at least 3 hours I will take my car to be fixed so let me know more exactly what do I have to ask the garage So I can prove that he never took the DPF down for a physically clean fact that he already admitted but he still charged me £175 . All this before I take my case to COURT this is not right you asking for money in advance and then you reply that you not taking any responsibility you should not do that it not right VERY DISAPPOINTED UPDATE 01 AUGUST just have my car back on Monday from the garage were a physical DPF has been done and the car running as new, apart from the DPF nothing else have been done so the faults your mechanic is blaming it made my car to broke down still there . with all the faults the mechanic from the garage told me if anything will happen in the next 12 month he will doit for free and he said like I already said to you that this DPF NEVER been clean and this has made the care to broke down because it couldn't breathe and once you clean it it take years to be blocked again not just one silly ride like your mechanic is saying. I hope some professional people will review my case and it will give me my refund back for the money I have been charge for a job that your mechanic NEVER deed . your mechanic is more then welcome to come and run a test to see that all other faults are still there but the car run like new it a week gone and nearly 200miles and still working

Incredible service . Having been quoted double the cost of brake repair by a main dealer I thought there had to be a catch to this service, but it's just brilliant. Polite, efficient, economical, have already recommended to several people.

Great service. Got a pre vehicle inspection done on a van I was interested in and couldn't view myself due to being overseas. Communication was excellent before and after inspection, the mechanic, Imran, provided a very detailed report and supplied pictures of everything. He saved me a journey and a lot of time and money. I will use this service in the future when buying used vehicles. Highly recommended and great value compared to AA or RAC

Joseph called to let me know he was 30 minutes away and arrived within agreed booking time. Work was carried out on my drive and when done car was taken for a short test drive. They cleared up after themselves and there was no mess on the drive when they had left. I recieved an inspection report on completion and my service book was duly stamped I'm no mechanic but as far as I can tell the work was done to at least the same standard as I have had from main dealers before at a higher price. So I will definiately be using the service again.
