Ordered some dining room chairs. One came with a leg an inch shorter than the others! Had to pack it up in order for an exchange. A new chair sent out - all the legs the same length but 2 inches higher than the others so having to negotiate another replacement. Makes you wonder about the quality of these products - looks like they’re made quick and cheap.

UPDATE: I have since been offered a new chair from a different line due to ongoing quality issues with the original chair I ordered and issued with a part refund. The new chair is great and I am happy with the service, so have upped the rating on the review accordingly. PREVIOUS REVIEW: If I could give 0 stars, I would. I ordered a Wren office chair about six months ago. The welding on the bottom of the chair broke after less than 24 hours of receiving it - about two hours use and I weigh 11 stone. After a long email exchange with a member of the customer 'care' team, I reluctantly agreed to a replacement of the with a chair in a colour that I didn't want (replacing black with brown, which I wasn't really happy with) and part refund due to the colour change. That was almost three months ago. I have received no refund, and the replacement chair also hasn't arrived, despite coming back into stock. I flagged that it was back in stock and asked to receive one (which I shouldn't have to do - it should just be sent), and was told that it hadn't been back in stock yet, despite me seeing it on the website. I was told it would arrive by 17th August at the latest. It has been a dreadful experience thus far - broken chair, no refund, no replacement (even with the chair I didn't want) and awful customer service.

***UPDATE 03/01/2020*** Following on from my comments regarding our recent visit both Josh (Customer Care Manager) at Cult Furniture and I managed to chat about the visit over a scheduled call. He was very apologetic on behalf of the staff who were on shift for that day and was appreciative of the feedback as it's feedback like this that will allow them to better the experience in the future. Josh offered me a very kind gesture of goodwill which has meant all has been forgiven during our visit to the store and has restored Cult has being a main contender for being a supplier of our large furniture order to outfit our brand new apartment that we're about serve completion on. Comments made below the dotted line under this paragraph are now redundant shall we say, but I've kept them so readers can get context of the story and see how Josh / Cult turned it around. The review star rating has been changed from a 3 to a 4 and will turn move up to a 5 once the order is placed and we've received our items. Thanks again Josh for your help. ???? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Review post-visit on 30/12/19: We visited the store for a good 30 minutes today testing out their Anderson sofa range and at no point did we have any ‘Hello’ or ‘Can I help you with anything?’ from the two sales girls on the computer right by the front door. The store was completely empty for at least 25 minutes of this time and is small enough to warrant a quick walk down to where we were to ask if we needed any assistance. We felt invisible ????????‍♂️ Whilst I don’t expect a personal shopper type experience at all from any furniture store, to not have any acknowledgement at all from either of them was a bit disappointing as we are pretty keen on committing to an order with them for the sofa. Not a good start to the sales journey with Cult. Perhaps just a one off from their staff today. ????????‍♂️????

Absolutely brilliant customer service throughout. I bought a charcoal velvet sofa from them at a steal of a price. Received it within a week (other websites you have to wait 8-10 weeks for the same quality of sofa at least double the price). The quality is amazing, exactly as described and then some. I've also bought a chair from them before and again arrived as expected, top notch. I changed my my mind on another sofa I bought so I asked to be refunded and they've been nothing but stellar in their handling of it. Love them!

I ordered the consec faux leather kitchen stools for my nee kitchen. They arrived swiftly and super well packaged!the stools are fabulous! The faux leather looks sumptuous and you would not know that it wasn’t actual leather and the frame of the stool (brass) looks amazing and a great finish. I would definitely buy again from Cult!

Online experience: We ordered chairs and the delivery never arrived. No message, no “sorry we made a mistake” for weeks. On following up we understood that our order couldn’t be fulfilled as they are out of stock. The refund process was swiftly though. We were contacted and received an apology. Store experience: it’s a beautiful store and very good looking furniture great for inspiration. but again the customer service is lacking the service. No interaction or sense to wanting to give information. Staff seem very unmotivated. Update: I fully understand how painful reviews like these are. But I suggest to offer customers the next best product for the same price and see if this is an option. You can’t expect customers to pay more to get the alternative range.

Lovely furniture shop and a great selection online. Waited for several months for the shop to reopen and was advised to keep an eye on the relevant social media channels. Did so for several months but only found out of their reopening through a google advert. When I did get to the store, not everything was available (as to be expected given its size). I did ask for sample colours to get a better understanding of what tones would compliment what we were after, unfortunately they had a very limited selection. Advised to go onto the website, email and order these online. If only this advice was given to us months earlier, we could have done this with minimal fuss. Feels slightly disorganised and not clearly advertised. Yet to order, but given that a sofa or subsequent furniture is considered an investment, I would have thought samples and a more pro active approach to customer service would be apparent.

I chose the particular office chair I did because it claims the seat will raise to 56cm - it only raises to 52 which is a huge disappointment. Beware! It's 'chrome base soft pad dining chair with wheels'

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Awful customer service. I bought a stool which was the most uncomfortable item, so arranged a return immediately. Beware returns cost £9.95 per box (even though delivery is £7.95). Then when it was returned they claimed there was damage it and sent me a photograph of a piece of wood removed from the centre of the stool. They claimed it was badly packaged, however it was in the exact packing and box as they sent it to me. Can only assume they did it in their workshop to get more money out of me. So basically for me to look at a stool for 5 minutes cost me £30! No response to my emails to them on this matter either. GIVE CULT FURNITURE A WIDE BERTH!

If I could give this company a negative review I would. I ordered 2 barstools from them in Oct. 2019. It is now August 2020 and they have yet to send me the full product I paid for. This is after sending multiple deliveries to my house of the wrong product. No one at Cult has made any attempt to remedy this apart from refunding all of the delivery charges. This company is a joke.

Not great quality repro & customer service is definitely not geared towards keeping customers & making them happy return customers. Arm rests are made of two pieces of wood stuck together for example. Wood wasn’t cut to fit properly. If you don’t mind about detail then it should be fine. Beware that if you are sending back for any reason, they will charge. They are receiving a lot of goods back it says in the email that comes after you’ve bought. I hadn’t read the other awful reviews on here before I bought.

Ordered a sofa back in December 2019 with a 10 week lead time. Really excited for the sofa to arrive and unfortunately the wrong sofa was delivered on 17th Feb. Accidents happen so called the shop, and was told to email. From then on it's been a nightmare. It's been over a week and the wrong sofa is still sat in our small Brighton flat despite asking for it to be collected by Cult several times as we don't want to keep it. Feels like we're being a free warehouse for them whilst they decide what to do. We got rid of our previous furniture awaiting the new sofa so now have nothing to sit on. Trying to get this sorted is like getting blood from a stone! Over one week later and we're still trying to see if we're able to get discount on our new sofa as it's got a 8-10 week lead time. This should be dealt with more swiftly, and without the customer having to constantly email to get answers. I honestly wouldn't order from them again, which is a shame as the wrong sofa we have seems like great quality. Poor customer service and really disappointed,

Ordered hackney dining chairs. Order was delivered quickly and well packed but there was a quality problem with the chair feet. The rubber was very poor quality and left black marks all over my tiled flooring after only a days use. Rubber feet are very soft and already wearing through to the metal after a week so not fit for purpose. Customer service was unhelpful and told me to go buy some replacement feet on ebay at my own expense. Apparently this is the nature of the product and not a design fault. Would avoid as products not great quality and there is no customer service resolution if there is an issue.

Below is my experience with Cult Furniture: I have ordered my dining table (£399) and four dining chairs (£99 each) + £40 for delivery on 22 November 2018. I immediately rang their customer services and asked if it could be delivered on a Saturday. The advisor said they don't do Saturday deliveries so we agreed to get it delivered on Friday, 14 December, for which I took a day off work. On 14 December I have received my dining table that was damaged. No chairs (???). Rang customer services who apologised and Johanna reassured me that a replacement will be sent on 22 December and that I can throw away the damaged one. Receiving my order in time for Christmas was my main request. They also said that the chairs will come in a separate delivery later that day (meaning I had to spend all day at home waiting for separate deliveries). Finally, on the same day the chairs have arrived. Two out of four. Ripped and wobbly (see pictures). But where are the other two..? Rang their customer services again. Probably for the fifth time that day. Said it was sent and is with DPD. Rang DPD. They said it will arrive on Saturday 15 December, as Cult Furniture sent them out as separate orders, two chairs per box. So at this point my single order has turned into three separate ones. Finally received my chairs. The table that was supposed to arrive on 22 December never came. Rang their customer services and turns out they are closed on weekends. Thought OK, knowing them it might arrive on Monday 24 December. Rang on Monday to check and nope, they are now closed until the 27th. So in the end spent my Christmas without a dining table that was promised. Rang them again today (27 December 2018) to see what is going on. Martina said my table will arrive within an hour (that was never arranged and I was going to leave the house after the call). Few minutes later the courier delivered a parcel that was chairs, still no table. Rang Cult Furniture again. The customer assistant said that parcel was an actual dining table (a box that is 60x60x60cm)!! After being on hold for just under half an hour they still couldn't explain where my dining table was. At that point I have requested a full refund as I have no more patience to deal with this company anymore. I have also requested acknowledgement from management twice but been ignored. As you can see, they have major internal communication and operational issues but judging from other customer's reviews it seems that they are not taking it seriously and I genuinely don't believe that these five star reviews are not made up by the company. I would strongly suggest you go elsewhere if you want decent quality and hassle free experience. I myself will never ever use Cult Furniture nor recommend them to anyone else.

I'm writing this review, specifically on my customer service experience, not on the quality of their products (as I never received my product in the end, so cannot comment). - 1st July, I placed an order with Cult Furniture. - By the 7th July, I sent an e-mail, asking for an update on my order. - Only after chasing did I receive a response the following day, Jodie advised that someone else had bought the last of the dining chairs that I wanted and that I won't be able to buy them anymore. Rather than offer me a refund as an option, they preferred to only attempt a retention on my order. - I replied on the same day, to say that I did not want to place an order for similar chairs, and that I would like my money back. I was already unhappy that it took them 7 days and a chaser to realise that they couldn't fulfil an order. -10th July, I didn't receive a response to my refund request, so rang their customer services - A number which appeared to be outsourced to an external customer service company, judging from the delay on the phone. After a lengthy conversation, Johanna informed me that she had "asked their warehouse to cancel the order" - To be clear, internal communications are not my issue. I requested a refund, and should not have to wait for their warehouse to cancel an order that they have already confirmed they cannot fulfil. What were they cancelling? Boxes of air? -14th July, I received confirmation that I have kindly received approval from their warehouse that I can have my money back for my unfulfilled delivery. OR, they will kindly convert my cash into a store credit. I advised Sam that I did not want to shop with them and that I want my money back. Each time chasing making me more frustrated. -15th July, After not hearing back from Sam, I had to chase. Again. -16th July, Sam replied, saying that my refund request has finally been passed to their accounts department for processing. HOWEVER, it will firstly take an additional 7 days to process the refund, and then it may take up to 14 days to appear back in to my account. - 22nd July, Taynara refunded my order, - 24th July, my funds were returned. I am sure that most people reading this review will (hopefully) agree that this is generally, very poor service. To have to e-mail and call so frequently to get my cash back for a product I never received. 24 days from beginning to end, for nothing! The thinly veiled "Sales before service" attitude in this company is just bad, and it is the company who will lose out in the long run, when future customers have no faith in the business. A note to upper management & owners - Put your clients before lining your own pockets. Change the way you deal with issues. In the end, I bought some lovely Braga chairs from Made.com in a beautiful pine green with black legs. great quality and reliable service. No regrets!

Then in the end send me a pair of silver coloured chairs and then cannot be contacted after. Absolutely shambolic company, avoid at all costs!

Just changed my review***** Updated review - don't seem able to delete the review below. Josh from customer services exceeded all expectations. He managed the booking process, personally liaised with DPD to ensure the delivery suited exactly, and messaged within moments of the item being delivered to check that all was good with the order. He was exceptional! I am now a very happy customer and would recommend. ********************************************************************* I'm with Christian C - I went along to the showroom one Sunday a few weeks ago to look at a nest of 3 tables. 2 were nested together and I was told that the other one was in the showroom and they wafted their hand for me to look around at the end, whilst the 2 of them continued chatting and sitting at the desk. I carried on searching but to no avail. Finally one them reluctantly got up from their ipad at the desk and found it. I was encouraged to order from home rather than from them. And, rather complicated delivery options - not able to deliver to the showroom (which would make my life much easier) and also not able to get an elected delivery date (so can't anticipate which day to take off work). I'm trying to source the items elsewhere but unfortunately might have to bite the bullet and use Cult, but not looking forward to it based on these reviews and my experience in the Showroom.

Order at your own risk. Such a shame because the furniture is lovely. We ordered 6 dining chairs 4 were fine but 2 were faulty. We emailed Cult furniture who asked for pictures of the fault which we sent back straight away, this wasn't good enough, they wanted more pictures then asked for a video! Customer service team were rude and unhelpful . Great company if no problems but good luck if you need an exchange or refund.

I had one tricky moment with Cult over Christmas time 2019, however I was so impressed with the way that customer service handled my situation, it made it all worth while to wait for the chairs. Also a chair broke and they replaced it immediately and that was during the early days of Covid lockdown!!!! Thank you Cult for sorting it all out and taking care of me.

We've recently purchased 6 chairs through Cult, they arrived within days of the order, had a small fault on one which was dealt with immediately, it was picked up and replaced again within days. All the staff without exception have been great, polite, efficient and extremely helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to use the company again and recommend them based on our experience.

Ordered furniture 3 weeks ago. Two items have arrived, 2 chairs (one with a wonky leg) and a coffee table which was damaged on arrival. I have been speaking to somebody called "Martin" for over a week trying to find out where the rest of our order is. Apparently he is waiting to find out where the rest of our order is, which is a remarkable amount of time when it could probably be resolved with a phonecall. I think at this point even if my items arrived tomorrow then I would still advise to avoid like the plague. Awful service.

I haven't bought anything from Cult Furniture yet (I was thinking about it). The reviews of poor customer service have completely put me off. For a largely online shop, good customer services is imperative! Buck up your ideas Cult Furniture and you might make some decent money as your stuff looks pretty good (although quality appears to sometimes be questionable).

Ordered the leather hairpin stool, looked fab, £60 not cheap but not so expensive so ok! Looks good in my kitchen but 1) leather not best quality, a bit marked and the buttons are poorly covered, 2) no feet so I bought these separately, wasn’t prepared to pay another £9 plus postage for the proper hairpin ones on top of £60 so got some cheaper ones and padded them out myself to fit, without them the stool skid on my kitchen floor . Albeit the stool is comfy but was hoping for better quality for the price!

I previously wrote a review of my recent experience with Cult furniture but am pleased to say that after writing the review swift action and resolution were made by Cult and I have to commend them for this. Putting this down as a rare occurrence. As mentioned before, the furniture is of great quality and we received a partial refund for the bad experience we received. Overall I am happy with the outcome and do recommend customers to give them a chance due to the furniture quality.

Disappointing service. I brought 3 bar stools which showed as being in stock. As per the term and conditions, the company state items will be shipped within 10 working days. After waiting this time and have no communication from the company, I began chasing up my order. I was then advised on the phone and via email that my order would be prioritised and sent out same day. This went on for almost another week before the order was finally dispatched. Once receiving my order, 1 of the bar stools was faulty. This however, was dealt with swiftly. I called up to report the fault, and Jordan ensured the replacement was sent out the next day for next working day delivery. This was received as promised. For full disclosure, I was offered a small refund as a goodwill gesture. However, the representative never processed the refund. After waiting a week, I called again. Fortunately, Jordan answered and did the necessary as per the company procedures. The products themselves I would rate as 4 star. The are of decent quality, but certainly overpriced for the quality. The customer service of most representatives was useless. I had to make countless calls and emails to get my order and for the refund to be processed. The only time things got done was if I spoke to Jordan. I also requested to speak to a manager or have a call back, hoping to resolve all this a little more amicably. Even to this date, weeks later, no-one has bothered to call. I don't mind overpaying on products, as sometimes the design, style etc of what you want is hard to find, and in this case, Cult was the only company I could find to do the stools I was looking for. However, because of the poor levels of service, I certainly would not buy from here again.
