Having little time to spare I almost decided against my visit today. However Lisle politely asked if I needed help (I did) and was able to direct me to exactly the sofas I should sit on. I did not know that sofas could be that comfortable. He then took me to the fabric area and boxed up a few samples for me before printing off the specifications of my chosen sofas and I was off! I felt 25 minutes had saved me hours of deliberation and I now feel ready to buy.

Where to start? I've never furnished a property before, and really had no idea where to start. I was lucky enough to be helped by James who, on my first visit, spent 2 hours kindly entertaining my indecisiveness and answering a million hypothetical questions about style, fabrics and colours. On my second visit, he patiently went through all of the information with me again whilst reassuring my mother that spending upwards of 2K on a sofa didn't make me a psychopath. By the time I went in a third time (determined to order), he was a diamond, calmly helping me through the process. My beautiful Bear Hug is expected in 14 weeks, and I can't wait!! Thank you James! I'd recommend you to anyone who isn't *quite* sure!

Very good range of furniture and excellent service. Sam was very attentive and extremely patient with our requests. She helped us with the fabrics and we ended placing an order with her. We look forward to receiving the furniture in a few weeks.

Such a great visit. We came in thinking we’d wander around for 15 minutes and ended up staying a couple of hours! James was fantastic in giving us help and advice, and we now feel we’ve got the furniture and the whole room’s colour scheme wrapped up! (It’s all about the light/medium/dark, the ‘palette cleanser’ and the ‘pop’! ????????)

We had a fantastic experience with James at Loaf Battersea on Sunday. We ordered a bed and a footstool and felt as though the whole experience was really personalised. James was an expert in the products and the brand and we can't wait for our new purchases to arrive. I would highly recommend visiting a show room, I went in for the Coco bed and a cream footstool and I came away with the Joelle bed and a raspberry velvet footstool! Seeing the products and being able to test the fabrics makes all the difference!

We ordered a Loaf Bumpster sofa after visiting the showroom and realising it’s very comfortable. However, the sofa that was delivered to us is of incomparable quality. Unfortunately, we couldn’t test it out in the first 15 days because of ongoing home renovations, otherwise, we would have returned it immediately! It feels like there is absolutely no filling in the cushions! When you sit down, you can feel the wooden base of the sofa. Sitting on this sofa for more than 30 minutes is uncomfortable, as my back starts hurting (I’m 28 and don’t normally have issues like that with other sofas). Very disappointed with Loaf - for over £2,000 (!), it feels like we have been scammed and sent a different product. Having used it for 3 months already, we dislike it even more with each day. I wouldn’t recommend Loaf sofas to anyone.

Loved Loaf and left the shop being very inspired. Great layout and friendly amd helpful staff and love the fact that you can get a sofa in almost any fabric you want. Would like some sofas to have the taller legs to be able to see the difference, but there were none. Generally, it feels like Loaf sofas are very very low, like sitting on the floor, so if you're tall you need the extra height. 4 stars for lack of taller legs being on show and also for being in a really inaccessible area due to road closures.

James was amazing to deal with, so helpful not only in ensuring we had checked all our options but also in recommending colours (which were better than our original ideas) and ensure we were happy before the purchase. He was professional, fun and a delight. James made the experience an enjoyable one for us both.

Surprisingly disappointed by our visit to the Battersea store. The actual sofas managed to bear little resemblance to their online images. Everything a little tired, but maybe that's the idea, either way not for us.

The team in the showroom where grest. However they can't actually deliver a sofa. PLEASE LOOK AT THE COMMENTS ON THEIR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT BEFORE PURCHASEING. I'm on my 3rd round of delays on my order. Phoned them multiple time asking to speak to a manager who never calls back. Reached out on social media only for them to say they will look into it and never reply. but there are far far worse customer issues.

Don't buy into the marketing portraying a premium product and service... Bought under seperate orders a sofa and a bed. Ended up cancelling both after sofa got lost, bed was booked for delivery and cancelled on same planned day with the excuse it hadn't been made yet. Thats just the highlights. I am yuet to get refund which was supposed to processed in 3 - 5 working days now 2 weeks later. Last time I called to chase I was told I'd get an email confirming .... I didn't. They clearly spend all their money on marketing and non on the services afterward. Ended up buying two lovely sofas one from DFS and one from a little independent in surrey called Love your Home. The sales person at DFS was excellent and followed up to ensure delivery. Love your home are similar price to Loaf and some amazing styles and fabrics, the quality and service from ordering through to the independent specialist delivery company they use. All fabulous. Recommendation.... don't buy from Loaf.

Considering the high value nature of the products, the staff are not very pro-active in offering advice/guidance on the range, it was as if they really didn't mind whether they sold anything or not. Ended up ordering on the website where there has been an issue with my card, trying to phone up to solve it is a nightmare. Been on hold over 30 minutes on my third call of the day, really disappointing customer service after spending £1000 on a bed.

Had an OK experience in the shop But did make me work really hard when I asked for a Saturday delivery [my wife’s a teacher I’m freelance] We bought the dozer headboard and storage base - It wasn’t cheap and we presumed the price reflected the quality ?? When they delivered [we were told that bed would be made up by deliveryman] The guy said they had finished and when I went upstairs the headboard wasn’t attached to the main body of the bed I queried this and they suggested that that’s how they always do it I challenge them saying it was ridiculous and they put it together Fast forward just less than a year and two of the buttons popped out And one of the Wooden Supports came away from the inside Called loaf and they said I would need to have an inspector look at it and then on the basis of his report book in a technician to repair So that was two days that I would have to takeoff work in order to accommodate a substandard product I suggested that photographs of the missing buttons should be sufficient and for them to send a technician around The buttons are fixed with a nail as part of them This kind of Chesterfield upholstery should really have a thread pulling the button through the cloth with a loop in the button So now another eight months on more buttons are falling out and I’m just knocking them back in Conclusion - I would avoid this particular design Also a big question of style over substance for loaf It’s sad that Loaf are concentrating on grabbing your money before thinking about making a good product I’m pretty sure if it was the other way around people would have more faith in brand that talks a good game around quality????!!

DO NOT BUY before you read this. It all started so well, the showroom staff were attentive and helpful, they took copious notes and we left with our expectations raised, if anything. It was not until our delivery that the UTTER HORROR began: first they delivered the wrong mattresses; we noticed this straight away but the delivery men (Wincanton Transport) simply could not have bothered less. They 'dumped' the mattresses, un-zipped and disappeared in a cloud of diesel fumes without so much as a by-your-leave. It gets worse: we contacted the showroom, who could not have been more apologetic and said 'We have really dropped the ball here'. They then put us though to 'customer support'. Their immediate reaction? No apology and a bald 'You will have to start the process all over again, it must be your fault.' Luckily we had kept a copy of the order form where the correct order was plain for all to see, but - to our surprise - this only made the customer service agent dig her heels in more fervently. She then became rude and verging on abusive. We rang off and contacted the store again, explained the situation - again! - and were promised they would 'do what they could' to expedite the delivery of the correct mattresses. Seven weeks later they arrived, only or the horror story to ramp up to a whole new level. The mattresses are NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE! We bought the mattresses specifically on friends' recommendations and having spent more than one night sleeping on their product. I can only assume that, since those mattresses were made, two or three years ago, Loaf have re-sourced their manufacturer. This is a common trick amongst venture capital backed businesses where their VC backers require and exit after three years at a substantial profit: the only way the books can be made to add up is by cutting costs, in this case outsourcing to a cheaper supplier. The mattress is now five months old. It has collapsed. As previously stated, Loaf mattresses are not fit for purpose. A note about the reviewer: as you can easily see I very rarely post a critical review; I see Google reviews as a great way to bring consumers' attention to great businesses. I have only written this review as a last resort, having failed miserably to get any kind of customer satisfaction from Loaf. On the contrary, their customer support staff have been unhelpful in the extreme, obstructive and on occasion downright rude. DO NOT BUY A LOAF MATTRESS! Update 29 June: 'Trust Pilot SOS'??? Why would any reputable business use Trustpilot when Google provide reviews for free? Just google Trustpilot and you'll see why. My original review stands.

Great showroom with super helpful and relaxed staff - a place to come back to. I wish I had never come inside - I felt in love with the sofas and after few visits I had to get one for myself. The sofas are a bit pricey but the quality and design are really great. EDIT: Our sofa delivery turned into a nightmare so despite a good initial experience I want to warn you. Here is exactly what happenned: - we had to deliver the sofa through the window on the first floor due to a narrow staircase - we had to pay for another company to come and assist.. big commitment and expense so wuite telling how much we liked the loaf sofa ;-) - we booked the Sofa Assist company (who were great) to arrive shortly before the delivery window confirmed by loaf which (around midday) - it happenned to be just at the beggining of the Covid madness when business started to close so we called Loaf a day before to confirm the delivery and all seemed OK. Yet, the delivety guys called us early in the morning on pf the delivery day asking if it was ok to come earlier. I told them we wait for another company to deliver the sofa through the window so earlier is OK but not like 4 hours earlier.. so the guys hang up. - I called Sofa Assist to aks if it wa spossible to arrive a bit earlier and they said they would do their best (and all of this time I'm trying to WFH) In the end - Sofa Assist guys arrive earlier - Loaf delivery does not show up at all (!) and stop answering the phone After a few long phone calls to customer services with poor Sofa Assist guys waiting, the Loaf delivery finally shows up.. way too late and after the original delivery slot. Had the story finished here I would not even bother to write this essay. But on top of everything they are very unprofessional and unpolite. The Sofa Assist lifts my Sofa to 1st floor and I AM HELPING THEM while the Loaf delivery is watchichh us from the safe distance. Then they use the quick moment of general confusion to get the delivery signature from my partner and are ready to go - easy job as the others guys (and me) did all the physicall work. When I tell the Loaf delivery guys they are supposed to assemble the sofa and take away the packaging (yes this is the part of the delivery service so I am not asking too much here, am I?) they roll their eyes and mumble they could do this if I really wanted to... It makes me feel like this very demanding customer who wants them to do their job. A half of my day is gone already. I have had enough, yet I decide to call the customer service again to tell them exactly what happenned. I hope they would investigate and prevent this from happening in the future. I do not think I ask for too much - after all the money and time spent on this I feel the least I could do is to share my feedback. The conversation with the customer service is very bizzaire. They blame everything on the third party who makes the delivery and say they need to investigate... It feels pretty much as if once you buy their product they do not care anymore. Loaf are supposed to come back to me with the results of their investigation. It is needless to say 2 months have passed and I have not heard from them.

Love this place. Went to check out the sofas in the flesh as I had seen them online. So impressed at the quality of the products and the helpful staff. Every sofa we tried was comfy! Took away several fabric samples and ordered more online. Impressed with the customer service and impressed that you can return any products that you change your mind about. Will be definitely ordering my next sofa from here!

Terrible experience with the delivery and after care from this company. When one is buying a £3000 sofa it is not just the sofa one is buying but the whole process. Very quick to take your money - but appalling service from there onwards. My sofa was delivered damaged with missing feet. Promised a replacement before Christmas - needless to say it came late in Jan after trying twice to deliver to the billing address in the Isle of Wight (had called several times to correct this). The 2nd sofa arrived damaged. I was initially offered £250 compensation, then this went up to £650 if i kept the damage sofa. I said it had to be 50% of the cost for me to keep sofa. This was declined, so a 3rd sofa was ordered. I then was so angry with their service I asked to speak to a senior person - who 4/5 days later eventually called me full of apologies and finally (although he had to call someone higher up the food chain) I got my 50% refund. I did have to for go my guarantee of the sofa though. Very very disappointed with the whole establishment - show rooms are bubbly, polite and fun but from then its its a nightmare with YOUR money.

Shame I cant give no stars! Awful delivery, delivery drivers drove off with my order claiming there was no parking - despite offers to move cars etc- didn't want to listen. The worst customer service experience of my life. Customer service team lies to get you off the phone - lied about next available delivery slots and sending discounts and products. Still waiting for a call back (its been over a week since I was promised I'd be contacted). Would spend your money elsewhere if you want a good customer experience

Bought the XL Conker table - very happy with it - but not with the XL Budge bench we bought to go with it. Delivery was smooth, but have discovered that the delivery drivers did not use all the fixings for the bench - 5 screws missing. This we noticed after using the bench when it sounded like it would split in half. It makes cracking sounds and sags alarmingly in the middle - and that was just with my super fit 13 year old son on it. Hubbie sat in the middle and it completely bows - no way you would risk sitting the suggested 4 bums on it - you would be in real trouble. The design is flawed - with over 2 meters of unsupported resin and no centre legs this length of bench will never work. We called Customer Service, they suggested we email over photos. Stock email reply says a resolution in 3 working days, but had to call myself again. Now waiting for the delivery company to come back and take it away, then once in the warehouse the refund will be made - potentially this will take 2 weeks. I am furious as the table and bench were £1500 - not exactly a snip. There is no compensation for the flawed initial build, or the poor service after the complaint, nor for the truly appalling design and construction. We are now left with a huge table that will require an additional 4 chairs to be purchased in order for us to go back up to the 10 person seating capacity. The Guildford store did not have the large size of any bench - so you cannot test it out. Very disappointed in a company that exudes friendly service and great shop staff - but ultimately you are living with this stuff in your home and it needs to be fit for purpose. Off to John Lewis for those extra chairs...

I ordered a sofa from LOAF in the store on oct 27. because I was very concerned about the narrow staircase in my building, I called the customer service at least twice on separate occasions to give the measurements of the stairs (or it might have been even 3 times), after firstly convincing them that i was indeed concerned, they assured that it was fine. Today (dec 6) is the delivery date, first Wincanton - the delivery company that LOAF partnered with - was 1.5 hours late to the time slot they gave me. Then the chaps (from Wincanton) realised when they delivered to the last flight of stairs it was not possible to deliver... I called LOAF and they will refund me the purchase value, regardless, think there should have been some accountability for their bad process..and waste of time!!! this has been a long wait, a lot of time at the store, phone calls and waiting around, people carrying stuff up and down, and I am back to square one without a sofa :(:(:(

A lovely in store experience and genuinely comfortable sofas significantly let down by an inept back office function and ops department. After my initial order I had to make a minor change to one of the items resulting in being owed a £90 refund. I was told it would take 48 hours to arrange. Some 14 days s later I have not received my refund but have today been told is being processed and will be with me shortly. What should have been a simple and seamless refund has turned into 3 calls with their customer services department each with a waiting time of between 5 - 25 minutes. On my recent call when I asked why I had to wait for so long to request my refund (again) I was told it was lunch time and many of the staff are away despite the call handler telling me they they receive higher call demand over this period.....surprising that. This experience is a real shame. Over the years I purchased 2 beds, 2 side tables, 1 chest of drawers and more recently 2 sofas....I've probably spent something in excess of £4-5k with loaf / the sleep room as they once were. I really do like loaf furniture however this service was so poor and frustrating I will look elsewhere to their competitors in the future. Interestingly my experience isn't too different to many others who have provided reviews. I haven't even received my items. Looking at other reviews I'm worried as to what might happen.

Helpful staff in their hip stripped t-shirts, can find you whatever info you need about the many funky pieces of furniture they sell. The sofas are lovely, and the wide selection of fabrics amazing. There's a giant bear for kids to hug, plus an ice cream shop, which is good for tempting small people out to go furniture shopping!

I had some trepidation of purchasing from Loaf based on the extremely mixed reviews, so wanted to share my experience. I had a superb experience both in the showroom, but also with delivery. In the showroom, the staff were knowledgeable and very helpful but did not pressure me at all to purchase. I bought 2x sofas from their 'speedy sofas' selection as was moving shortly. When one wasn't coming up in their internal system (but showing as in stock on the website), they got on the phone with the warehouse and tracked it down to make sure there wouldn't be an issue. For delivery, I was bracing myself for issues based on other people's experiences but for me, it was seamless. Their delivery partner contacted me 24 hours later and I was booked in for a week after that. They were bang on time for the slot and got both the sofas in with a smile. Both sofas are both good looking and very comfortable. I'll absolutely be ordering from Loaf again - I've already got my eye on a Swagamuffin armchair.....

I have no idea what the product is like as the delivery service is unworkable. They will give you a 13 hour window 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. 48 hours out they then select a 2 hour slot, which they don't have to meet, but if you cancel, they will charge you for the failed delivery. I have spent three days trying to contact them, emailing and leaving messages on answer phones with no response. Do not be misled by the friendly facade, as they do not appear to care once you have made payment.

Having an absolutely shocking experience with this company. Ordered nearly £2k worth of products and only one item was in stock. They said If I want the item that was in stock delivered before the other items I have to pay another £60, this is not made clear at all at check out, I presumed it calculated the already expensive delivery costs based on this. I then got a call to schedule delivery of the item that was in stock so no idea if I now have to pay extra for this. The delivery dates are ridiculous, they don't deliver every day, they don't deliver on the same days in consecutive weeks and trying to get a weekend delivery is impossible. I have had to book mid week delivery for four weeks time and was told I had to pay storage costs to hold the item!!!! So first of all I couldn't get them to deliver it and now I have to pay extra costs for them to hold it. I have written countless emails to them and called numerous occasions only to be wait ten minutes each time and be put through to an answering service, I leave a message and no one calls me back. I now am so disappointed with this service that I want to cancel my order but can't get through to anyone to even do that. Shocking experience. I will never order from here again.

Terrible delivery service, constantly had my delivery date moved back 2/3 weeks a tme for 3 months. Waited 4 months for a sofa and bed, bed base turned up - no headboard or sofa. Re.booked for 2 weeks time, took a. day off work and never arrives only to be told it would need to be reschduled for April. Then another call from the logistics to cancel the order and another 30 minutes later to schedule a delivery date for May??? Currently waiting on whether it's going to be delivered or cancelled, I do have the base of the bed unconstructed...... £4000 I gave them 4 months ago and still no product or communication from Loaf on when I can expect this to arrive. Not good enough, do not order from here.

I ordered 4 mattresses, one of which was to be delivered the day we moved into our 2 1/2 year renovation project. We had no furniture, no carpets, only, I hoped, the Loaf mattress. To cut a very long story short, despite 2 attempts, the mattress was not delivered. I cancelled the whole order and have now spent 2 weeks waiting for a refund. Loaf are impossible to contact, either by email or phone. It's a shame as their shops, products and staff are all very good but they are being let down very badly by their delivery company and after sales service.
