The overall service was great, very professional and helpful, and the delivery was quick and efficient. However, the quality of the furniture is very bad. I ordered two Elementa bed frames and two firm Orthopaedic Mattresses in January 2020. The wood of the bed frames started poking out after two weeks of use. Fortunately, the defective bed frames were replaced immediately. But the same problem occurred three months after the replacement. The quality of the mattress is very bad as well. It is already lumpy and sagging after half a year of use, and you can feel the springs poking out. Because of the current situation, I didn't ask them to replace the bed frames and mattresses. Definitely wouldn't recommend these two products!

Extremely unsatisfied by the service. Poor communication, long waiting times, limited choices of furniture. I received furniture today after wait and half of them were damaged and super poor quality for extremely high price. Would never recommend!????????

BUYER BEWARE! My landlord ordered me a bed from David Phillips which looked great but after he paid extra for the set up of the bed, the bed was missing a minor plastic piece and said they would come back to install the missing piece but they never contacted me and never came back (luckily the missing piece was in no way crucial). A few days later, I was standing on the bed (which had a mattress on it) to fit a light above and two of the bed slats snapped under me, so I had to avoid that corner of the bed while waiting for my landlord to get in touch with David Phillips. A few days after that, unrelated to the two broken slats, the 2 centre legs of the bed completely gave way and the bed broke under me, after 3 weeks of owning it!!! My landlord contacted David Phillips with the expectation of a refund however David Phillips refused to give him a refund and offered him a store credit. What an absolute joke, we have now ordered a new bed from a different supplier. I will never buy from David Phillips again

The absolute worst!!!! Would give 0 stars if possible! DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OR PURCHASING FROM THEM. Our landlords use them for furnishing their flat. Had a sofa delivered brand new, 2 weeks later it started sinking. Was told we have to contact their customer service, a very rude lady, who over email basically called us obese 'AS THEIR FURNITURE IS SO STRONG, NOTHING BUT EXTREME FORCE WOULD MAKE IT BREAK'. A sorry excuse of products. Listen to the people leaving REAL AND TRUTHFUL comments and go to IKEA. Save yourself both the money and the headache.

Very professional, polite and efficient. I'm a property manager and haven't had any issues with DP since I started using them. We had a mix up with a delivery to one of our properties and David Phillips resolved it the next day, which happened to be a weekend, at no extra cost to us! Whenever I call to place an order they always sound so calm and inviting, it makes me want to come and hang in their office lol

Fitted a bed incorrectly & customer service afterwards, to solve a simple problem, was terrible. Would be much easier and less hassle to buy somewhere decent and assemble yourself. Someone else has suggested most of the 5 star reviews here have been written by staff. Found them to be arrogant and unhelpful.

What an awful experience at every step of the way. We had decided to go with David Phillips as we had previously rented a flat that had David Phillips furniture and we liked it so much. As we had just brought our own property we decided to kit it out with their furniture too. We initially went to the showroom in central London for inspiration and at the end of the visit we were advised to send a furniture list and to come back the following weekend for an appointment to see material samples. We informed the team that we were moving in to our new flat in two weeks time. After sending a few queries the next day we received no response and decided to wait until the appointment. The next weekend we were seen by someone else who knew little to nothing about our requests or questions. After the second meeting we again experienced significant delays with people answering our queries and everyone required chasing. This should have been the point we decided to look elsewhere, but the offer of a 10% discount and the two weeks wasted kept us in. At this point we had already moved into our flat (not ideal considering we had approached David Phillips two weeks before moving and were informed that it would take a week turn-around time). After paying for our package there were further (unspecified) delays which required us chasing them (rather than them calling us). Once our furniture arrived (two weeks after paying and four weeks after deciding on the furniture we wanted), not everything was there. The delivery men assured us the delivery was complete and we had to call David Phillips staff yet again. They appeared more than aware that items were outstanding, but for some reason did not feel the need to let us know. We were informed that the product was no longer in stock, although it was unclear how they had only become aware of this then given that the order was made two weeks previously. We eventually suggested that they send a replacement product which we mutually agreed. We set another delivery day and on this day we were called to be informed that this replacement product was also unavailable (with no real explanation as to why they did not know this before hand). We suggested a third product as a replacement (which was indeed in stock in the warehouse), but for some unclear reason they were unable to offer me a delivery date. After a further week of waiting with no phone calls we decided we wanted our money back. After reading some reviews with regards to the difficulties in getting your money back from David Phillips, we decided to send them a legal warning requesting a refund of non-delivered goods. This again appeared to have gone unacknowledged. After a further week (and at the deadline informing them of impending legal action) they agreed to refund the undelivered goods. The 6 weeks of stress and chasing was not worth it. I got the impression that the company cares more about its large contracts rather than individual orders. Poor customer service and not to be trusted.

Best night sleep ever!! I ordered a new mattress from this company and was thoroughly impressed by both the service and quality of the product. Delivery was very quick - it took place the next day and was within the 3 hour time slot that had been texted to me. The delivery team called me shortly before they were due to arrive, which was a nice courtesy and allowed me to schedule the rest of my day. The delivery men were friendly and efficient. They even took away our old mattress as part of the service, which made life a lot easier for us. Overall I found the service very professional and wouldn't hesitate to recommend David Phillips.

I was really impressed with the team at David Phillips, who we used on our last development in Streatham, London. In particular the consultant Sam Collins, my main contact, who was excellent. He was both knowledgable and considerate, taking the time needed to fully understand our requirements. Throughout the process everyone I dealt with were extremely professional. The designers had a keen eye for detail and produced a quality finish. The installers were quick and without complications. The development they furnished looked fantastic and was exactly what we had envisaged. The furnishings perfectly complimented our overall finish and as such secured a buyer almost immediately. I must say the whole process was very smooth, from original phone conversations to site visits for understanding our requirements to the end installation. Everything went exactly as Sam described. I would use David Phillips again on future developments without hesitation.

Professional service finished to a high standard. I used David Phillips for furniture package service of a 2-bed apartment. It was a deal agreed with my developer, which means what’s in the package was set. However, when they find out I was going to live in the property myself (not renting it out), they made it flexible and allow me to make my own selections. Also I changed my mind a few times in the selection process and they were fast and responsive with the changes. Especially with the carpet, which I have an initial choice, and then I changed my mind, but in the end I changed back to the original. And David Phillips helped me to make all of this happen, and I am happy with what I got in my new home. David Philips saved me a lot of trouble going through the process of receiving parcels, getting it from different suppliers as well as all the installation – all I have to provide is the key to the apartment.

Brilliant Experience I have a 2 bed in the City and David Phillips helped kit the whole unit out perfectly. The design and concepts that went into the quotation initially where absolutely perfect for the style and design of the property ( its a new build unit) The apartment rented within a week of being on the market and I have very happy tenants. The whole experience went smoothly from quotation, to customer service ( there were a coupe of out of stock issues which got rectified the next day) but on the whole I would highly recommend

Horrific experience will never use them again. I've used this company on a number of occasions the workforce are completely useless I've seen them trying to put together furniture with the wrong tools banging screws in and just making up how a piece of furniture goes together. Rude and ignorant delivery personnel.

I needed to buy some beds and mattresses in a hurry for a property I rent out. I'd used the company three years previously with success but before ordering I telephoned to check that they would be able to deliver to my deadline (2 days). They assured me that they had the beds in stock and could deliver for the Friday (ordering on Wednesday). I placed the order online, paid, received a confirmation email and then a phone call confirming delivery arrangements. At that point we took the old beds and mattresses to the local recycling centre. Job done I thought.. 3pm on the Thursday I received a phone call rescheduling the delivery to the following Wednesday because "their supplier had let them down". No phone call this time and just a brief apology. David Phillips's whole ethos is about serving the rental market... I would never go near them again and would urge anyone else not to believe the spiel they write on their website and tell you down the phone. Complete amateurs with no interest in their customers. And seven weeks on they still have not refunded the money they took for the order knowing they couldn't make the delivery. I'm off to Trading Standards now...

Horrible experience. First, the delays were unreal. Second, when they brought our beds, they couldn't find the ones we had ordered in the warehouse and so decided to switch them for other beds we hadn't asked for and showed up at our doorstep with those! What kind of company does that? Where is the logic? Third, we ordered curtains and they had said they could get the measurements exact but they still came to measure the windows out. After promising a very quick turnaround time for the curtains, more delays. When they finally came to deliver them, guess what? They don't fit properly! Finally, I have asked to speak to senior management multiple times - my requests have been ignored as my payment has gone through. Truly disappointed with this place. Please avoid it - there are many many many other furniture shops and interior design places (e.g. Italia Furniture - they are awesome) that you can go to.

Very shifty and I would not be using your service in the future thank you.

I ordered a set of furniture which did not arrive on the promised date. Even when it did arrive, it did not arrive as a complete set due to stock errors. When I called to try to adjust my payment methods, they refused to assist with it, saying that once it has been charged it will not be reversible. Horrible experience!

I recommend using a different company because the design was nothing special, some poor choices and low quality item and the after sales care has been very poor. Issues still not resolved. We have put some of our own furniture and furnishings back in the meantime. We complained about the dissapointing interior and our rep said he agreed that they had fallen short and would arrange for a senior stylist to come to the property to make improvements. Called again a week later, spoke to head of lettings. Same thing, Still waiting for a date for a stylist to come back.

I have been a loyal customer and shown consideration when delivery dates could not be met etc. as we are all human at times things can be late. I am therefore shocked by their lack of after sales customer care. Also of course very disappointed that they have brushed aside the problem with my lovely glass dining table. The glass has come away from its base/frame. When it was initially delivered it was wobbly and after blaming my floor etc. for this problem some chaps eventually were sent and and did some alterations on the frame and it seemed fine . Now The 12 months guarantee period has run out, basically they just cannot be bothered- I have had to make numerous calls as they do not ring back as promised and last I heard was beginning of this year to be fobbed off with another excuse that their supplier ,in China was closed due to Chinese New Year and could not be contacted!!!!!! I have even offered to pay for the cost of the re-glueing. I naturally expected a very carefully treated dining table from a reputable supplier to last longer than 12 months -Their poor customer care is very disappointing and I will not continue my custom with them.

Worst experience of my life, service was discusting, delivery arrived 2 weeks late, i paid to get the furniture assembled, the bloke that turned up didnt have a clue what he was doing and ended up standing in my house for hours trying to contact his head office for an instruction. In the end i asked him to leave. Never again... stear clear!
